Cheap for single room
Review of Ramsees Hotel, London by MarketWatcher

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Find out for yourself

Ramsees Hotel at Hogarth Road is a cheap place to stay if you want a room, a TV with Sky channels, phone, ensuite whatever. If you ask for a single room they may even give you a double room for the same price, but then you should experience Ramsees Hotel yourself to find out why, I'm not going to tell you. It's really cheap taking into consideration the TV, the phone and the ensuite facilities (ensuite means shower, the toilet is just outside, much ...
...on two sides of the building, one facing the street and the other facing away from the street, it's your choice though for the best rates available. The shops all-over makes it convenient to get your groceries. Sainsbury's is nearby, about 10 minutes walk. The underground is within easy reach while the Airbus to Heathrow Airport has a stop near the main street, nearby too. Great place to stay for the best rates! ... Read review

Entertaining
Review of Green Court Hotel, London by gollygumdrops

Advantages: Location, price
Disadvantages: Rather Icky

The Green Court Hotel is situated on Hogarth Road, between the Earls Court and Cromwell Road. This location occasionally causes the Green Court to get over excited and claim it is based in Kensington. The Hotel is run by a man who looks suspiciously like the shopkeeper out of Mr Ben. It is a fascinating place to stay. Luggage arrives and leaves throughout the day, rarely accompanied by guests. At lunchtime most weekdays a man walks down the street ...
...walking distance of Earls Court and Olympia, along with The Natural History and Science Museum. This hotel is fine if you are with someone and are paying your own way. If your company books you in to the Green Court, do the decent thing and leave – now! ... Read review

Hilton Kensington
Review of Hilton London Kensington, London by annmarie.wills

Advantages: Price, Room Quality, Cleanliness, Staff
Disadvantages: Small Room, Location

...smaller side compared to other Hilton Hotels I've stayed in. Nevertheless it was warm, clean with fabulous air con / central heating system. The bathroom was also small and the corridor into your room from the door isn't a ver big gap. I had facility to use the internet at a cost of £15, use of their ethernet cables. Room came with plenty of clean towels, shower gel, shampoo, shower cap. More importantly a hairdryer - which I'd forgot to take on ...
...well I can't really find one, only thing I could moan about was the location but being in London a tube ride will get you anywhere! The staff were very friendly, even recieved a phone call to make sure everything was ok in my room. The bar and meals were reasonably priced and were ok - not the finest of meals but I prefer to eat outside of the hotel anyway. This hotel is ideal for a short stay with not much luggage. Overall, I'd recommend this ... Read review

Adequate, my dear tourist
Review of Sherlock Holmes Hotel, London by gollygumdrops

Advantages: Great location, friendly place
Disadvantages: Poor room design

The Sherlock Holmes is wonderfully situated on Baker Street. It is very close to the Baker Street tube station, and within easy walking distance of Madame Tussauds and the London Planetarium. Hilton like to keep it quiet, but this hotel is part of their portfolio, but is not branded as such. Guests tend to be tourists, and the reception staff speak a wide array of languages, sadly English is under represented amongst them. They are a friendly bunch, ...
...have been wasted, but they are comfortable enough. No movie channels are included but there is a pay per view option. I would recommend this hotel for fans of the Sherlock Holmes novels and tourists looking for a mid priced hotel in a good, but not expensive location. ... Read review

Olde Fashioned Hospitality?
Review of Russell Hotel, London by helencbradshaw

Advantages: Location, good special deal room rate, large rooms, high standard accommodation, guest services
Disadvantages: F&B may be a little expensive

...situated along one side of Russell Square in the Bloomsbury area of the city was to be my home for my recent short break in the capital. Being in the hotel industry myself, I don't like to pay a fortune for hotels and I booked the hotel about two months prior to our arrival and managed to secure two double/twin rooms at the rate of £85 per room per night, through a contact. However this special rate was also available on the website, and so is achievable. ...
...block at the side of Russell Square and is one of the most imposing hotels within this location. This purpose built building dates from around the turn of the 20th century and its architecture is renaissance in style, with stunning terracotta brickwork. The hotel is large in size, with almost 400 rooms, and many overlook the square, including ours. The original floor to ceiling window frames do open out onto a small balcony area, if you want to absorb ... Read review
