The Thomson Sixty is a relatively new "boutique" hotel in Soho New York. Location wise it is excellent, ten minutes walk away from the nearest subway, 5 minutes walk to the stylish Soho shops and excellent restaurants and bars around. ...Every other hotel I have stayed in in the US have had Queen or Kingsize beds. The other problem with the hotel was the heat. It was winter so the bar conditioning had been turned off but you had no control of the heating in the bedroom. We had to leave the windows open all day and at night had to shut the window due to New York noise but the room became unbearably hot. Disadvantages: Few facilities, not en-suite

It took me a while to find a hotel for when I was in New York. What I really wanted was the Holiday Inn for about $50 a night, but since that didn’t seem possible, I had to search around a bit. The front desk staff were extremely helpful in trying to solve our predicament and found us a room at mega short notice.
