We were travelling to New York as a surprise trip for my brothers 30th Birthday, and on the advise of a review, I mailed prior to departure asking if they could ensure us a room with a view..This unfortunately was not attained, but we were offered another room if we wished to change. ...Upon your return to the Affinia 50 after spending each day out exploring the city, you're greeted on the doorstep by the VERY (almost overly) polite doorman who utters a "Welcome home" to each resident. Gets a little tiresome after a while, but adds to the whole ambience of being in New York, I guess! Great value hotel right in the heart of Manhattan,at 147 West 43rd St, New York. Just off Times Square but more a quiet oasis than bustling metropolis. Extremely well run. Totally themed out in Morroccan style (mosiac tiling and palms throughout) its actually pretty authentic. Owner and staff are all North African or at least second generation. ...twice winter and summer , hilton hotel was in summer for four days i took my my 14 year old girl with me, she was so impreesed with hotel lobby she wanted to stay all day in lobby people watching ,ifelt like million dollers did not matter my clothes at lower end of market the whole decor of place like palace; never seen a bed as big as this ;four phones in room and 1 in toilet mind you it was very formal room big bed large desk with green leather ... ...were eventually accommodated at the Milford Plaza and I cannot reccommend them enough for their outstanding customer service. The front desk staff were extremely helpful in trying to solve our predicament and found us a room at mega short notice. As for the accommodation, the room we were allocated was on a high floor and had a king bed, TV, table and chairs, en--suite bathroom with shower and all of the usual accoutrements you would expect of this ...
