Advantages Advantages Competitive prices, high quality services

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Reliability is questionable

Flew Premium Voyageur IAD to CDG. The main things I appreciated were the professionalism of the AF agents and inflight crew, as well as the cleanliness of the aircraft. AF always feels like it is a step above American carriers. Premium Voyageur is a class apart with its own cabin separated from the rest of economy (Voyageur) by a wall and closed curtain. This gives the space a cozy and private feel. Passengers in PV on the 777 use the Voyageur lavatories which were kept clean (if not well stocked) during the flight. The meal was the same as the one in Voyageur and not fantastic, but I did ... more

Air France - My opinions on the airline in general. My husband and I recently flew to Los Angeles and back and we had the pleasure of taking an Air France flight. Why pick Air France you might ask? I am a Virgin Atlantic silver card holder and generally only like to fly with them but I do like to get value for money and after searching the internet I found that Air France were approximately £200 cheaper each than Virgin or BA to fly to Los Angeles so we decided to go with them. After all, £200 is a lot of money and we were going to the same place regardless of how we got there but I was still ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Did not care about disabled passengers

My new wife and I travel Air France from Bristol to Paris earlier this year. On our return journey from Charles de Gaul I requested help for my disabled wife. The attitude of Air France staff at the check in desk almost defied words! The first two staff members I spoke to palmed me off and refused to help. I honestly mean they refused to get a wheel chair for my wife who was struggling to stand! The third member of staff was equally rude, sacastic and refused help, I had to forcefully insist that she arrange help, which she eventually did. It took almost an hour for the wheel chair to be ... more

Advantages Advantages Best flight ive been on

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Air France has at least 50 aircraft which fly all over the world, predominantly visiting large cities. I never flew with Air France until May this year. To be honest, it was the best flight I have ever been on. I flew from Birmingham International Airport to Charles de Gaulle airport, about 30 minutes drive outside Paris. Check took around 30 seconds and there were no queues; but this was because of the small aircraft and the flight time of eight in the morning. Upon boarding, the aircraft was parked at a terminal so we did not have to walk out along the tarmac to the plane which was very good ... more

    Advantages Advantages They are cooperative

    Disadvantages Disadvantages nothing for now

I'm not a seasoned flyer. I have only ever flown on holiday twice in my whole sad little life. I must say that Air France did a very good job when I flew with them from Newcastle to Paris CDG and back. On the way there, they were polite, all crew spoke English, and the flight was good. It was coming back however, that they really impressed me. We got lost in CDG. A bit stupid of us really, but it is MASSIVE and there was a security scare which meant it took ages to get through the gates. In the end, we missed our flight. It was very traumatic. We had a two year old with us who had been on the ... more

My wife and I flew with Air France in Economy, back in November 08 from California to UK, its an experience I wish to forget!!! From their promotional material we expected a good experience with decent levels of comfort and customer services. But this is what we found.... The Good Points first: Well they were cheap, very cheap actually. We booked through a travel website and got a really good price. Thats about all the good things I can think of and the fact we got back without crashing! The Bad Points: Firstly we booked about 6 months in advance but 3 weeks before we left they notified us ... more

Advantages Advantages Actual flight was smooth and trouble free

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cabin Service was tres horrible

I tried Air France recently on a trip to Cuba and have vowed never to fly with them again. In my mind, the trip would be perfect, fly from the UK to France then on to Havana. It was a long trip, which I was prepared for and as normal, I was looking forward to the flight as part of the overall holiday. Sit back, relax, watch a couple of movies, enjoy a magazine or two then snooze away and before you know it, you wake up in the beautiful sunshine. Well that was the plan anyway ! The ground handling arrangements were absolutely fine, but from the moment we got on the plane there were issues. We ... more

Air France is the worst airline I have every dealt with. There are three of us who came from the US to Europe on the 28th of December. It is now the 4th of January and Airfrance claims to have no information on our baggage. They continuously tell us it is in one place- but when I call there, they say it is not. We've had to buy new clothes, toiletries, hairdryers, etc. To top it off, because we don't have our warm clothes- 2 of us have gotten the flu. We spent about 50 hours going to and from the airport and calling to find out when they will arrive- with no result. I will never fly airfrance ... more

I recently booked a flight with Scot Airways, flew with Air France on a City Jet plane, confused, not half as much as me!! I wanted to fly to London City airport & remembered seeing an ad for Scot Airways who fly Dundee to London City airport on a regular basis. None of the budget airlines appear to use London City airport & no flights go there from the usual large Scottish airports such as Glasgow, Edinburgh & Aberdeen. I went to Google & punched in 'Scot Airways' & it took me to the Air France website. Obviously they are all the same company but it was a little confusing at first. Booking ... more
