Advantages Advantages Variety of activities and value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages really can't think of any

Just returned from a 2 day stay at Bognor Butlins with wife and two children aged 10 and 12. Bought super saver pass on top for £10 which pays for a cinema ticket ( choice of the latest films), a proper bowling game, go karts and the adventure golf. This is very good value considering the price of cinema/bowling where I live. When you add in the splash water park ( how many of these are there around) and the evening entertainment ( we saw Circus Hilarious which was a first class show) it was worth the price. We bought a family leisure pass for £129 which is a day visitor pass valid for a year ... more

Everyone has heard about butlins and the history of it so i deceided to go to the skegness Butlins and found i did not enjoy as much as i thought i would. Took my 2 boys aged 3 1/2 and 1 1/12 and thet were not able to do much as they were to samml for the soft play area and any fun fair rides - only the kiddies rides. The kids clubs were not very organised as they were not on every day and when they was on it they were on when it was about 5 when you wanted tea ready for the evening entertainment. The nursery at skegness was a distance away from the rest of the park and swimming pool only was ... more

Advantages Advantages The shows, free funfair, kids stuff

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Accommodation pretty basic

Just been to Butlins Minehead for the first time. We have always been abroad before but with a toddler and a baby decided to give Butlins a go. We had a silver room with dinner bed and breakfast. First of all, if you are used to hotels be prepared, the accomodation is basic ( it makes Travel Lodge look like the Ritz!) but clean and the beds are on the hard side. If you've got a matttress topper take it! The food is acceptable, hygienic and the type most people will like. Think supermarket cafe for quality and selection. The best thing about Butlins is the entertainment there are tons of things ... more

Advantages Advantages Great nightlife, Fantastic atmosphere, Wide variety of food/drink

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor accomodation, Food served in the main restaurant wasn't fantastic

I went to the adult Hot Summer Party weekend with a friend for three nights. I can't comment on the family holdays as I haven't been on one of these breaks, so this review is really just for people who are looking to go on one of Butlins' adult breaks. For me, one of the best things about the holiday was that there were no children around. It was nice to be in the swimming pool and restaurant etc without running into kids and hearing screaming babies. The resort also had a great, lively atmosphere. During the day you can sit outside on the green, go swimming, use the arcades in the dome, or go ... more

After having read many reviews about Butlins in Bognor Regis that were not at all good, with only the odd one saying a few nice things, I was really dreading my time there. However I have been very pleasantly surprised indeed. At the beginning of the year I decided to save the tokens from the Daily Express newspaper for a short break to a choice of venues around the South Coast. After completing all the forms and sending the relevant tokens, a cheque for £38.00 and chosen the places and dates we were given Butlins at Bognor Regis from the 8th September throught to the 12th September, which was ... more

Read the negative and had to add a positive here. Been to Butlins Minehead three times now - going again next week and I can't wait. I have two toddlers and you cannot do better for family entertainment. To make sure this is an accurate review please note we always go Gold Class which enables you to eat in the Yaught Club. The food is fantastic - yes most of the staff are polish, but they are so customer focused it is ridiculous! I think they must have daily awards or something. End of the day, a holiday is what you ... more

Went to Butlins (Bognor) for the first time ever with my wife, 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son. Some of the staff need English lessons. We booked the Silver accommodation which was shabby and in need of a good refurb, outside was smelly and grotty, we upgraded to Silver-plus straight away, there was a world of difference. We went all inclusive and found this to be an uncivilised affair, not because of Butlins, but because of the majority of the clientèle, a lot of rushing, pushing, and general bad manners. Butlins provided a dreamworld for our kids, they ... more

Advantages Advantages Entertainment for young children

Disadvantages Disadvantages Accomodation standards need improving

I think Butlins is a fantastic holiday for young children however not so good for teenagers. There is plenty of entertainment including character appearances, shows, swimming pool and early evening entertainment for children. There is also later evening entertainment for adults. The accommodation is not great, but most of it in Bognor is being knocked down and rebuilt so should improve in the next few years. I would recommend staying in the hotel or the gold accommodation now though. I have not eaten in the half board restaurants however have been told its very good but I prefer self catering ... more
