    We had a great time at Karaka Tree Motel in Taupo - the motel is just across the road from Lake Taupo and has AMAZING geothermal pools in every room - ours was huge - and very refreshing to lounge around in with a glass of wine after we had walked around all day. The manager there was lovely and really helpful - he helped us organise our trip, and gave us good advice on what was going on in Taupo during our stay there.
