Advantages: Location, Price, the outside bar set right on the river, air con
Disadvantages: rooms are small

We stayed here for two weeks apart from a few days in the middle of our stay when we travelled up to kuala lumpar. It is a lovly little hotel in a great location. The breakfasts arnt great but they were ok for the price, if you want something nicer then there is a shopping mall just over the road with some food places in them but they are a bit more expensive than the hotel. ...mrt station but we just used taxis as they are so cheap and very reliable, also a taxi rank is very close to the hotel or they will call one if you want. The home beach bar is outside and is the hotels only bar but it is set right on the singapore river and they provide you with comfy deck chairs and tables, they also serve food. It's interesting how your holiday objectives change as times passes. A few years ago my holidays would have been somewhere to go out and party at night, listen to some good rock bands, have some drinks, amaze some beautiful women with my wit and humour, and .. er.. hope! Then I got married and our holidays became somewhere to enjoy culture in the day, beaches and wet bars in the evenings to sup on a cocktail. Now, with two young mini-mees, holidays ...
...V, parks and toys for the young Master Vs and, hopefully, somewhere that Mr V can quaf some Stolichnaya! Oh, and where we can get a large or two-room hotel room so the kids can sleep while we watch TV/DVDs and eat room service. Doesn't it sound idyllic? After some research, we agreed (ie I was told) that Singapore promised to offer pretty much all of what we all wanted. Disadvantages: If you like shopping, could be closer to Orchard Road

...Australia. This is a great hotel for the price it was listed as a 3 star but in my opinion should be higher! Very clean, huge comfortable beds, large spacious marble bathroom with both walk in shower and bathtub, complimentary bathrobe and slippers for personal use during stay, and best of all an excellent view of the Singapore river. The room had a computer, electric curtains, knobs and buttons on the bedside cabinet for various lighting effects ...
...adjoining shopping complex below the hotel which is another plus point, as it has a Starbucks, supermarket, bookshop and even a beauty parlour. We had dinner in the hotel in the Restaurant next to the Lobby and found this to be both delicious and excellent value for money, the Seafood Laksa being particularly good. Disadvantages: Can be a little confusing to find your. way around initally

Stayed at the Pan Pacific in March 2007. We found it extremely comfortable, the staff were very polite and helpful, sometimes hilariously so!. On the day of our arrival, we had only been in the room for about half an hour when a young man knocked on the door. He wanted to check the room, but didn't seem to understand that we had only just arrived. We let him in (it was easier), and he looked around, then went into the bathroom and folded the toilet ...
...The pool area is very pleasant and comfortable. As we lay on our sunbeds, a little maid appeared with complimentary bottles of water and fruit. There were also magazines, clean towels and free sun creams to use. The hotel is connected to the Marina Shopping Mall through a door on the second floor. If you aren't going out in a taxi, then you don't use the front door, it leads on to a service road, very confusing! Food and drink is fairly expensive, ... Read review

Disadvantages: Poor views

Stayed here in March 08 and April 06. The hotel is in a good position just off Orchard Road. However, don't expect any great views as it has buildings on three sides and a freeway on the other. Bathrobes and slippers were provided and a good selection of toiletries including razor and toothbrush. There was a safe in the room and fridge. Ice is available on a couple of floors. The rooms are well furnished. The bar adjacent to reception is good and ...
...time for with a really extensive selection, although the coffee was not the greatest. Can recommend the Indian restaurant in the basement for a good meal. The roof pool is very good with excellent changing facilities. Unfortunately it poured with rain the time we visited it last! The hotel is convenient for public transport, but taxis are really cheap.
