...This is one of Apple's new Ipod fifth generation MP3/MP4 Players. The advantage of this over a nano is storage capacity and video playback. FUNCTIONS = This player can playback MP3 and MP4 only. So sorry to WMA fans out there. You can (with the right software) upload your DVD's on this ad view them say when you are on the train for example. Unfortunately they are trying to make it illegal to put copies of your OWN DVD's onto your devices now. ...The Ipod is simple amazing, there really is no other way to describe it. Everything about this product is appealing, it looks good, feels good, makes you feel good and does everything it's said to do. It plays music and videos, holds files and has built in games for when you have nothing to do. Compared to the older Ipods, the battery life on these are great, they go on for ages and ages. The design is sleek and attractive and the controls are great, I can’t say how much of a great idea the touch pad navigation is (Click wheel.), very easy to use and get use to. The Ipod itself is very slim and to be honest in my opinion look like a work of art. The image quality on these are great, very bright, colourful and sharp. ...should you find it not to be, it does offer a vocal equaliser should you want to make your RnB have the same resonounce of classical music. Now the 5.5 generation ipod (we're now on to 6th generation) has much better durability, now i'm ashamed to say this but I'm around 18st and i've once sat on my ipod and it didn't break (Thank God i can't afford another) I've also rolled over onto it whilst sleeping (I listen to music whilst I sleep) So I do believe it is a very good buy and due to the new generation ipods coming out the price is sure to fall soon. ...First of all lets just say, what a great product. Now that iPods have the ability to store videos and photos aswell as the standard music the 30GB harddrive memory really comes in handy and gives plenty of room for a nice selection of each. The battery life was said to be 14hours for music on this item but to be honest I would have to say it would be nearer 8-9hours which as im sure you'll agree is a significant difference. The design is as before stylish and again as before the scrolling wheel makes searching through your library much easier. Syncing your iPod couldn't be more simple, just install itunes and your away however I have found that some of my videos wont upload onto my iPod despite being in the iTunes library. Also the automatic upload of any new songs really helps those of us who aren't completely clued up on technology... Read review

...My original iPod was a 4gb Mini in silver, which I purchased in September 2004. It worked flawlessly, looked great and iTunes was (and still is) a delight to use. That was the reason why I had to upgrade; the iPod just filled up too quickly, necessitating the 30gb 'Photo' purchase. I bought it in April 2005 and at first I didn't like the styling as much as I did for the Mini. The 30gb capacity (27.9gb available to the user) is more than enough and probably more than I'd ever need. It has been supremely reliable, which is at odds with the reports you hear from others. It has even withstood a fall from 7ft, whereby the case popped open. I've decided that, based upon my needs, there is a low chance that I will replace it, unless it becomes unusable. It has 2. 5 inch screen which is really clear but the problem is - the outer shell is sooo easy to scratch. This can be solved by either getting a special polish that rubs out the scratch and leaves it as smooth as new, or you can get it replaced altogether. The first being my preferred option. The Ipod supports MP3 and WMA audio playback, which means you can get all your music on no matter what format it is. The maximum resolution of the video playback is 320 x 240 and it supports MPEG-4 format. If you don't have any videos on your computer that are in this format, Don't Fret! ...Great Product, i have had mine for about a year and find it very good! Easily transfer songs via itunes then listen to them on the go without any problems! Only disadvantages that i can think of is that it can get scratched very easily, and that some times it freezes up! But definetly worth buying and i would recommend people to buy it! 30gb is alot of space that would not easily be used up! The picture quality is very nice and i use it to watch movies on thats how good the quality is!
