I didn´t have any plans for the afternoon and when I saw a leaflet ´Munich Walk Tours in English´, (from May 17th to August 31st daily 10:45 am and 3:00 pm, from Sept. 1st to Oct. 31st daily 10:45, meeting point in front of the town hall entrance under the Glockenspiel on Marienplatz, 9 Euro, under 26 years 8 Euro, children under 14 with an adult free), I thought, why not? Why not find out what foreigners tell foreigners about Munich? Still on the Marienplatz the guide, a young woman from Australia started with a survey over the history of Munich from the year it was officially founded up to today and covered 800 years in about 10 minutes. ...I fell it is time to add to the Glasgow Restaurant section, are there no Glasgow Ciao members? Di Maggios is a Glasgow based chain of mid market, mid priced restaurants. The restaurant I have visited was in the West End of Glasgow, Just off Byres Road on Ruthven Lane. It is not very well signposted from the road and on your first visit you feel that you are going round the back of someones house to get there, down cobbled lanes. I wouldn't advise single females to venture on their own or with your best stilletoes either. The restaurant was busy on a Friday night at about 8pm and the crowd was a real mixture, some couples, girls nights out, leaving parties etc. The room is very dark and lit with candles, to be honest I did not notice any other decoration as it was dark but the tables were very close together.
