Advantages: Great Battery, Small Size, Fast Processor.
Disadvantages: No Decent Word Processor, Low Number of USB Ports

...Acer are a relatively new up and coming brand from the USA (or so I'm told!) As the brand is not fully established yet, your getting great value for money when considering the high spec features of the Acer laptops, This particular model I bought 3 months ago as a replacement for my PC. Work commitments had changed and I really needed something portable - and this Acer certainly is that! About the size of an A4 paper and so lightweight, the laptop easily fits into your regular bag, which I find great because you are not blatantly seen carrying a laptop in one of those give away satchels. Gives me a greater sense of security from would be snatchers! I was initially concerned about the running speed, but with the duo processor, it actually runs more smoothly than my PC did! I also find the added Bluetooth feature great for transferring... Read review

Acer TravelMate Laptop

Advantages: Large screen and very easy to use
Disadvantages: Too wide for standard laptop bags

...I chose this laptop because it was one of the cheapest I had found with a good specification. Also with Acer there was the option of an extended warranty (which I didn't take but had been thinking about it). I bought a laptop because I needed my own computer for uni work. I have found the laptop to be very easy to use and does everything I need it to do. It is easy to use on the move as it is not too heavy. I have had no problems with this and mine is nearly 6 months old and has been used quite a lot. I like the 15" screen as it makes quite a difference to a 14.1" screen however it does make it look quite a bit larger than other laptops. It has 3 USB ports. There is a USB port at the front (don't use a memory stick in this port as you knock it whilst typing!) and USB ports on the side. The CD-RW is fairly quick... Read review
