Oasis luggage by Antler
Review of Oasis Vanity Bag by Antler by
e_l_parker
Advantages: Stylish, good range of features
Disadvantages: No 'piggy-back' connection
...I recently purchased a vanity bag from Oasis (fashion shop) and have found it really strong, stylish and useful, with excellent organiser capabilities.
The bag is part of the Oasis luggage collection designed by Antler. At £30 the bag seems about average price, but was definitely the most stylish and had the most features. It fits in with the ethos of Oasis as being individual and fashionable. It is black and curved at the front, and is soft-sided but with a reinforced front.
It is travel-bag sized, with two main sections. Each section includes organiser features, including:
* mobile phone pocket
* 3 bottle straps (for storing shampoo, etc)
* key holder
* A4 sized inside pocket
* pen holders
* other storage pockets
It also comes with a shoulder strap and a padlock.
For me the bag is excellent, as it forces me...

Lock it up
Review of Antler Identity Combination Lock by
danielalong
Advantages: Locks cases
Disadvantages: Not high security
...Antler combination lock
On a recent foray abroad, I decided that it was about time I started locking my trusty holdall.. just because it has served me well for about 20years, doesn’t mean that it will always remain tightly shut when I get it off that carousel.
So, needing something simple, and not with a key, I settled on the combination lock. I realised early on that I would lose a key, or put it into the bag for safe keeping, but realised that I could probably remember numbers.
~~Product and Packaging~~
My combination lock is in orange, but I have seen the blue ones for sale.
These type of locks are for zipped cases…ones which have zips which join together and can be fastened I assume.
It is about 5cm in length and has 3 small dials at the side with a metal hook like contraption which snaps closed like other...

M is for Moose and my moose collection!
Review of Everything that starts with M ... by
marymoose99
Advantages: Moose are the best!!!
Disadvantages: I can't have one as a pet :o(
..., can grow up to 7 feet tall, and weigh up to 1800lbs (there are seven different types of moose with the Alaskan moose being the biggest).
The scientific name of moose is Alces alces. The word moose is derived from a word meaning twig-eater. Hence moose eat twigs and shrubs etc. Although I didn't initially believe it, moose shed their antlers every year. Moose are solitary animals, and are generally quiet (unlike myself!)
My first moose was a cuddly 'moose in a can' bought on holiday in Florida in August 1997, followed by a larger moose the next day in the Canada section of Disney World. Going into the sixth form in September 1997 I first used the Internet and started to discover more about moose. My first online friend suggested that I get another e-mail account for use if I could use the Internet outside of school. Initially I...

Just Jesting

Advantages: Should help get you into the christmas spirit

...and the sleigh bells in the snow,
But I wish those pesky relatives would take their kids and go!
Those cookie crunchers fed the dog a twenty pound rib roast.
His feet are sticking in the air like skinny old fence posts.
Now they're in a free-for-all the girls against the boys.
They're fighting over boxes 'cause they're bored with all their toys.
My mother-in-law is snoring in my favourite TV chair.
Those kids are stringing lights on her and tinselling her hair.
I oughta wake her up before the fireworks begin,
But I wanna see those blue sparks fly when they plug her in!
I love the decorations and the sleigh bells in the snow,
But I wish those pesky relatives would take their kids and go!

Some jokes for the girls!
Review of Jokes by
missie123
Advantages: -
Disadvantages: -
...According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.
Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, every single one of them - from Rudolph to Blitzen - had to be a girl. We should've known. Only women, while pregnant, would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

A woman was out golfing one day when she hit her ball into the woods. She went into the woods to look for it and found a frog in a trap.
The frog said to her, "If you release me...

My name's Mary and I like to talk to ducks
Review of Top 10 Animals by
marymoose99
Advantages: It's different
Disadvantages: Vegetarians might not like it, and it's a bit long...
..., and well…magnificent. My most prized possession is my moose antlers (moose shed their antlers each year).
I could give a detailed description of moose - I have numerous books about them, but think this review might then double in size. However, any questions you might have about moose please leave them as a comment or in my guest book, and I'll do my best to answer them.
Hubby and I went on a long weekend in Stockholm in November 2005, the main reason being so that I could finally meet a moose in the Skansen zoo. Although of course a zoo isn't the best place for a moose, the 5 females and one male who were there seemed well cared for and happy. Meeting those moose (the plural of moose is moose) was the best day of my life….I have never felt so fulfilled. Of course hubby was happy because I was so happy.
Would I eat a moose...

Wellington Country Park
Review of Wellington Country Park by
mrsmopples
Advantages: Reasonable prices, tranquil setting, great for picnics, lots to do for children.
Disadvantages: Lack of toilets further down the park, too much bird pooh.
...:
The Woodland Trail – Blue
One of the shorter walks. This trail leads you through a grove of mature conifers and some large mature oaks.
Water Fowl – Green
A level path runs along the lakes and embankment, making this ideal for wheel chair users. Many more picnic areas in this tranquil trail as are the Canada Geese and their droppings so be warned. Fishing is allowed here so please respect the anglers around the waters edge.
Antler – Red
This takes about an hour to stroll around but this is where the deer are situated. Unfortunately when we were there they didn’t want to come out of hiding and we only spotted a handful before they darted inside the tall dark pine trees.
Bird Spotter – Yellow
Meander through coppiced birch, beech trees and conifers and breathe in the pungent smells of the forest. This is where a beautiful
Red...

A truly magical Christmas experience
Review of Lapland (Finland) by
matsu65
Advantages: Memories to treasure
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, but well worth it
...on a bit of local culture did you?
Apart from that I would describe the food as being well cooked, pleasant and very enjoyable. One place I would definitely recommend is Julli's Bar and Restaurant, which our local Inghams rep raved about. We visited there a few times for lunch, and always had a fantastic meal. As with everywhere else, it offered a wide range of dishes, from pizza to burgers to Finnish favourites for the locals and adventurous tourists. The staff were incredibly friendly, spoke great English and really seemed to enjoy having children around. I can honestly say I have never seen such enormous pizzas in my life, even my 4 year olds children's portion would have fed a family of four for a couple of days. And as for the burgers, I tried the 'Burger with Antlers' on the first visit and stayed with it every time we went there. Ok, I...

From the Slopes to the Springs…Bad Kleinkirchheim
Review of Carynthia (Austria) by
snowbunni
Advantages: The Best-Kept Secret In The Alps...!
Disadvantages: None!
...to accommodate two coats. A collection of antlers hung in the hall, each tagged with a dangling label outlining the time, date, and place of execution. Several restaurants displayed large fish tanks at their entrances, crammed full of the local specialty, rainbow trout, and reminiscent of those you sometimes see in Chinese restaurants, and virtually every bar, guesthouse or restaurant we entered had antlers or a stuffed woodland creature of some description on prominent display.
ACCOMADATION: There are 30 or more hotels falling into the 4 and 5 star category, and a large selection of self-catering apartments, as well as the ubiquitous Austrian bed and breakfast accommodation. There are certainly a number of bargains to be found in all of the above categories, largely due to BKK's relative obscurity, but the charming, bed and breakfast style...
