...After some time of me nagging him, my father purchased the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante in April 2003, and since then i have had the time of my life. The Aston Martin is very much the Jaguar XK8, but a lot more expensive (or so you would think), but actually you should be cursed for trying to compare the two. Aston Martins are built entirely by hand by a group of mechanical geniouses, as you realise when you are invited to the factory, before purchasing your custom Aston. The car itself is huge, and this may be a little off-putting at first to a lot of buyers looking at the hiugher end of the market, but then, i challenge you to find a car with a 6 litre V12 engine that drives like melted butter on silk, that is the size of a mini. Advantages: Prestige, the sound, the looks, British made craftsmanship, sex appeal!
Disadvantages: Depreciation.

...First of all let me set the record straight, I don't own a DB9 personally! However, my dad does and I've been in it quite a bit, and had a little go with him sitting nervously in the passenger seat (the picture is of his car). So I think I've got just about enough experience to write this review. Personally, I love the look of this car, I think its understated, subtle and not attention seeking. My dad is 48 years old and I think he'd look a bit of a tit in a red Ferrari. The Aston is a true GT car but is also very refined and luxurious. The lines are smooth and sleek from the rear right down to the front of the car and the unmistakeable Aston Martin grille. However, he has openly committed himself to the job at Aston Villa, and why shouldn't he. We've got a brand new state of the art training ground - one of the best, if not the best in Europe. ...What a great car this is!!! I feel like James bond when I sat in it!! Aston Martin has bounced back - and not before time. Purists may have winced when the Newport Pagnell company was bought by Ford, but even they have had to admit that the financial clout of the blue oval has revitalised the marque. Quite simply, Aston had got itself into a rut - as had its owners. If you want proof of that, consider the fact that prior to the buy-out in the mid-Eighties, 75% of Aston Martins were sold with automatic transmission. This from a company once seen as Britain's answer to Ferrari. Until relatively recently, Maranello didn't even make a car with automatic transmission... Advantages: The Aston Martin is back.
Disadvantages: The Title Music is Terrible.

...Bond is most certainly back, and back with a vengance. This is quite possibly the most action packed Bond movie to date. With it being Bond 20 the producer's had to make something special and Die Another Day is definately special. The faithful Aston Martin is back and looking slicker than it ever did. Well, let's be honest, any car that had a built in cloaking device and looked as cool as the "Vantage", packing enough firepower and gadget's to make a US Army General's mouth water, was bound to pull in the guys. As if this wasn't enticing enough they add Halle Berry into the mix. Looking fabulous and every bit the Bond Girl, the screen chemistry between Halle and Pierce is perfect.
