...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Atlantica Princess Hotel ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have just returned from two weeks staying at the Atlantica Princess in Rhodes and had such a wonderful time that I felt compelled to write this review. Rhodes is a Greek Island which is situated in the eastern Aegean Sea just 11 miles from the Turkish Coast (on clear days you get a magnificent view of Turkey). Our choice of this hotel and destination was purely through last minute panic at the beginning of the year where we realised that everywhere was quickly getting booked up! We began hunting through the various Thomsons brochures whilst checking availability on the internet. We were attracted to the all inclusive package that the Atlantica Princess offered as it worked out at around £12 on top of half board per adult per day and £8 on top of half board... Read review

Advantages: close to everything

...In the summer of 2002, my family and I went on holiday to Cyprus. This was the first time we had all ventured abroad as prior to this, I was only brave enough to book caravan holiday’s in the New Forest. With all the kit and caboodle you have to pack with two very young children I still had my doubts right up to the departure lounge. I have been to Cyprus four times; the last trip was in the summer of 1990, just as the Gulf war kicked off. I remember seeing the island surrounded by the British War ships and kept thinking, “Was this a good idea?”. For this holiday, I found a perfect hotel on the Internet and booked direct, thus saving quite a bit of money. It was the Atlantica Hotel in Limassol. The complex was amazing. Advantages: All inclusive with great food, no kids, great staff

...We wanted to have a break away just the two of us without our kids and knew we wanted an all inclusive break. After much deliberation we decided to try the Atlantica Golden Beach and were not disappointed. This is a Thomson Gold Hotel and we received Gold service from the minute we booked. Everyone was so friendly. When we arrived into Paphos airport we were quickly shown to our bus and because it is a Gold hotel you are dropped off first. The Manager and staff were there to greet us with drinks and a short information session about where restaurants, bars, facilities were. We had upgraded our room to a Double Superior and this meant that we were guaranteed a sea view along with a bottle of wine, fruit, bathrobes, slippers, television, cd player and canopy over our large double bed. ...My wife and I decided that we neaded a holiday. We wend down to the local Thomson Agent and after a couple of hours deciding where to go, we decided to visit Cyprus. We have never been to Cyprus before so it was a new venture for us. Thomson offered us a "last minute deal" where the hotel was aloceted on arrival. After the four and half hour flight to Pathos from Gatwick, we were told that we would be staying at the Atlantica Godern Beach Hotel. The hotel wasabout a twenty minute ride from the airport, which after a long hot journey, was welcome. On arrival, our bags were immediately taken to our rooms. The manager rushed us up into a room upstairs and to our surprise, a welcome party of sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee awaited us. Advantages: A stunning setting

...I have just returned from a Thomson Gold Holiday staying at the Atlantica Imperial Resort Hotel in Kolymbia Rhodes. This hotel is described as a 5 star Deluxe! We arrived at 2am on a sunday morning and were greeted by smiling staff and a sparkling glass of champagne. Great start this hotel is going to be fantastic. A marble entrance with palm trees in the centre and a water fall. It looked wonderful. We were quickly shown to our rooms and our luggage was taken by a porter who did not hold his hand out for a tip. We had chosen to stay in superior rooms which were like small chalets comprising of a four poster bed, slippers, bathrobes, wine and fruit. ...I have just come back from a gorgeous week in the Hotel Atlantica in Limassol in Cyprus, and I feel absolutely miserable - this time yesterday I was sunbathing in the 40C heat with a Pina Colada (they were free!) and now I'm sat at the computer, in a jumper, freezing my bum off. It's so cold here! Anyway, I've got quite a lot to say about Cyprus and the Hotel Atlantica, so here we go! CYPRUS - - - - - - - - - - - Cyprus is a an island located in the Mediterranean sea, south of Turkey, and close to Egypt. The official language is Greek, although being a former British colony, English is very widely spoken. The currency is the Cypriot Pound (CYP), which is 78p exactly, to our £1 sterling. The weather is nice enough to visit Cyprus from April to about October. It's hottest in July and August - it was well in the 30's and 40's... Read review

...We went to Cyprus for the first time last December. We stayed in Limassol at the Hotel Atlantica Bay. My Review on the Hotel Atlantica Bay, which is a Thomson Gold property. The Hotel was excellent, although rather large it was very welcoming, friendly and relaxing, the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The public areas were really well decorated, with lots of marble being used, especially in the lobby leading to the restaurants, which also had a lovely fountain and marble statues lining the walls. All meals were served buffet style in a large well laid out restaurant. The food was excellent with a great deal of choice for each course, which comprised of starters, hot and cold main courses and desserts. The Hotel The complex comprised of two different types of accommodation, there was the Atlantica Hotel for those who were all-inclusive or half board, and The Royal Court Apartments for self-catering, which was where we were. The apartment was beautifully furnished and well equipped with kitchenette, T.V. and both a bath and a shower. They also provided a cot free of charge. The decoration of the entire place was extremely elegant and I was impressed from the start. The Pools The pools were fabulous; they have two outside (one at the Royal court and one at the Atlantica) surrounded by palm trees and free sun loungers, and a heated one inside. ...Recently renovated and located right on the beach, the Atlantica Miramare offers good standard 4 star accommoadtion. It is located ina quiet position off the main tourist strip in Limassol so you are never far from nightlife if you want it. There are some really good facilities within the hotel and grounds, tennis court, water sports, spa, gym, sauna, childrens facilities such as a regular acitvity programme and childrens meals, playroom and babysitting service. There is also a regular day and evening entertainment programme for those who like a more active holiday. There is a good choice of accommodation from family rooms that sleep 2 adults and 2 children comfortably to luxury suites. Nice relaxed atmosphere, fantastic pool area and generally friendly staff. The food is very good and offers a great selection
