Musical Fidelity XRAY V3 CD player
Review of Musical Fidelity XRAY V3 by
Kel1981
Advantages: Build quality, sound, looks
Disadvantages: None
...I bought X-Ray V3 CD player along with the X-150 amp 3 months ago as a major upgrade to my main Hi-Fi system. Speakers used are my Monitor Audio Silver 9i's.
The first thing you notice when you take the X-ray V3 out of the box is the sheer quality of it. It is made of solid (about 4 or 5mm) aluminium a in a cute little half-rack sized chassis and looks fantastic. But you dont buy a CD player because it looks nice I know, but it's a big plus for me. The remote is nice to use and finds the player from awkward angles and a long distance, so no messing about trying to get it to work when not sat in your usual listening position.
Put simply I have never heard music sounding as "real" anywhere bar a live performance. The difference I find between this CD player and other players is the mid range detail. I love listening to the X...

Subterranian fun in Austria
Review of Vienna (Austria) by
jimblob
Advantages: Interesting, educational and fun
Disadvantages: 9 degrees and damp
...and the roof of the caves, it is a truly awesome experience, made slightly creepy by the weird music that echoes around you.
When Disney made the film “The three Musketeers” they used the underground lake as a film location. They built a large Viking like vessel and filmed the Musketeers on board to simulate them sailing under the Bastille as they went to rescue the King, the boat has been left behind and makes an impressive sight sitting in the water.
After the boat ride the guide asks everyone to climb to the top of the steps again and lets everyone make their own way out, this gives plenty of time to take photo’s and to take in parts of the mine we may have missed on the way in.
The temperature in the mine is only 9 degree’s so it makes sense to take a warm jacket with you, but if you have forgotten your jacket they will give you...

Seefeld ( Austria )
Review of Seefeld (Austria) by
misty21
Advantages: This is a very beautiful place to be. There are flowers on every balcony which makes it look like a fairy land
Disadvantages: I found none when I was there except if you like to cycle they do it differently
...I was there when I was young, I went on a bus tour and we stopped off in Germany for the night, in the morning after breakfast, the cases got loaded into the buses, unfortunatly mine went on its merry way to Switzerland andIand I was left for four days with only the clothes I had on 'till we arrived in in Austria . Seefeld is beautiful with every house and hotel with flowers on the It is so clean and you look up to the mountains and see the snow lying, yet it is not cold. I went up in the cable car to the top and stood looking down at the wooden chalets with flower laden balconys
We went to the house where the "sound of music" was played. There was entertainment
in the Hotel next door where the men danced
typical tyroleon dances, with leather shorts and
caps. and as my clothes had not arrived from
Switzerland a very nice...

Music. Hurrah!
Review of My 10 Musical Memories by
butimba
Advantages: Mildly entertaining?
Disadvantages: Rather self-indulgent. And quite long.
...spent most of the lesson looking incredibly bemused, and also just slightly worried. We really excelled ourselves in that lesson.
4. The 2002 school music tour
Our school music tour to Austria, in the summer of 2002, was a fantastic ending my seven years spent at Norwich High. We took 60 assorted choir and orchestra members across to the Austrian Alps, somewhere around the Salzburg area, for four days. And it may have been short, but it was certainly full. Which I think was one of the reasons why it was so successful. We just didn’t have time to stop.
There was much Sound of Music, including everyone standing on the steps in the Mirabell gardens of Do Ray Mi fame and yelling the same song as loudly as we possibly could. We sang mass in Salzburg cathedral, to a congregation of almost a thousand. We went walking in a misty...

"Music You Just Have To Sing Along To"
Review of Hairbrush Divas Vol.1 (Music You Just Have To Sing Along To/2CD Set) - Various Artists by
wiggie80
Advantages: Brilliant Album for the Summer
Disadvantages: I don't like a couple of tracks
...Hairbrush Divas (Music you just have to sing along to) was the creation of centuryfm network and is a compilation album that "does exactly what it says on the tin".
The album consists of a variety of mainly feelgood songs from old and new mixed up in a way that makes it an album for all ages, whether your're 9 or 90 :0)
Either way, you'll be up singing and dancing at any party to this album.
My favorite song of all on this album is TLC with Waterfalls. Althought it was played a lot at the time it was released and I heard it a bit too much, it's nice to hear it now - an at least I know all the words from hearing it so much before :0)
THE SONGS (year in brackets)
Disc 1
01. Kylie Minogue - Spinning Around (2000)
02. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Murder on the Dancefloor (2001)
03. Prince - Kiss (1986)
04. Liberty X - Just...

Land of sound of music where once eagles dared
Review of Salzburg (Austria) by
Maverick_tips
Advantages: heavenly scenic beauty
Disadvantages: -
...explore the breathtaking scenic beauty of the countryside for which Austria along with Swiss is so quite famous for .The experience of Salzburg is incomplete without exploring its surroundings.Another advice is always take a guided tour 'coz it provides u with lots of insight 'n helps u in understanding the finer points ,history ,importance 'n uniqueness of this geographical location else everything may seem to be just brick and mortar.Even tho' these tours r quite expensive well its worth every penny (or is it euro). Some of which I highly recomemnd r as follows:
Sound of Music Tour:
U can visualise the romantic countryside of Salzburg ,if u 've seen the movie(who hasnt ??) Sound of Music as this place forms the backdrop for this movie. This tour not only takes u to the places where some famous scenes/songs of this movie...

The hills are alive with the Sound of Music
Review of Sound of Music Tour, Salzburg by
Writing321
Advantages: Great way to see Salzburg sites
Disadvantages: None
...over Salzburg, and the locals would be little impressed as they did not see the movie until 2000, even though it was first released in 1965.
Apparently they were familiar with the two movies which the Broadway ''The Sound of Music ''stage show was based on - one of them being ''The Story of the Trapp Family Singers'' by Maria von Trapp. Then of course along came a movie and it was pepped up somewhat to meet box office attraction and to spin a good story. For political reasons it never made it to Austria for decades.
Some other movie differences: she said the real von Trapp children took to the new governess, a nun called Maria, with no animosity - they loved her. At the end of the movie the family escaped the searching Germans as they hid in a cemetery and then trekked over Untersberg Mountain to escape. In fact, they packed...

WoOoOoOoOoOoO
Review of cd-wow.co.uk by
PerfectlyPink
Advantages: Cheap and free delivery
Disadvantages: Selection
...If you want a CD, pretty much any CD, then the first place you should go and try and get it is CD-WOW. If you go to www.cd-wow.com, you'll arrive at an online music store. This is how it's set out:
**~~TOP 20~~**
The Top 20 (I'm not sure if it's based on CD-WOW sales or chart sales overall) are listed down the left hand side of the front page. You have the option to add it straight to your shopping cart or find out more details. OK, say I clicked on Sophie Ellis-Bexter (I don't know WHY I'd want to do that, I REALLY can't stand the girl!), I'd then arrive at a page which would show a picture of the album cover and a track listing. On this page you have the option to add to your cart too. Pretty self-explanatory, no? This site is very easy to use.
ALL CD's are &8.99! BARGAIN! The only exceptions are compliation albums and DVDs...
