I'm not sure how useful this will be to many people. BA also say they will be offering selected routes at a discounted mileage - you can check for special offers on their website. However, the mileage required seems pretty frightening. I'm not sure I'm going to get very far with the few BA Miles that I earned from my flight... Read review

Advantages: helptful staff, eco friendly breakfast
Disadvantages: none, compared to BA

...I bought a BA/Quantas combined RTW ticket last summer, which promised me flexibility. Hmmmm. I had no flexibility with british airways, certainly not in the seating dept on the 13 hours flight to singapore. However, this is not about BA. I now love quantas with a passion - I has excellent service with then throughout my time in australia - I sepcially loved their "breakfast in a box" - a healthy and filling breakfast, all in a cardboard box, emblazoned with the quantas logo. None of the plastic wrappings falling off the tray and being scattered all over your seatmate, accidentally stabbing them with a plastic knife whilst trying to butter the roll .. nooo.. breakfast in peace, and when finished, all the trash went back into the box, which were stacked up on the trolley by the endlessly cheery and amusing quantas cabin staff. Advantages: More legroom, quiet in cabin

...Recently flew with BA fom Hong Kong to London on World Traveller Plus class. The new class created by BA. Targeted at Premium leisure traveller. There are only 6 rows in the class and the seating arrangment is 2-4-2. The toilets are actually share with economy class and is situated in front of the economy class. The best thing of it is there are more space and more legroom (7 inch does make a diffence when you're on the plane for 13 hours) Also you are allowed to board the plane with 2 pieces of hand lugguage and there are more inflight entertainment to play with. There is also an adjustable headrest so that your head will be more comfortable whether you're seating or taking a nap. The meals are actually the same as in economy class. There is also a socket for you to use your laptop on board. All in all I found you pay an extra 500... Read review

The main drawback is that an American Express card is not widely accepted. I would not recommend that you have one as your only credit card – I use mine mainly as a back-up to my other cards, and as a way of saving BA miles. I would dare to say that there are no places that accept American Express cards, but don’t accept either Visa or Mastercard.... Read review

Advantages: Great Airline
Disadvantages: Not the easiest Airline to get upgraded

..., this is what happens when you occasionally get upgraded out of the blue. But if you want to tip the scales in your favour then read on... Firstly, enroll in the frequent flyers club (Executive club), it's free, for the first year you only need to make the equivalent of one transatlantic flight to keep it the next year, and most importantly you will get preferential treatment when it comes to handing out the up-grades. In addition to which the airmiles are pretty good – one mile traveled = one airmile, 13,000 airmiles gets you a free return flight to Europe. BA operates a waiting list for upgrades, the order of priority is as follows... BA Employees, Gold Card Holders, Silver Card Holders, Blue Card Holders, everyone else.....
