...***Background*** Having left the Wild West town of Oatman, we headed down the old route 66 until it joined on to Route 95. This was a beautiful section of road and we thoroughly enjoyed this historic road especially as it took us past the lovely Topock Bay. Turning on to London Bridge Road just past Lake Havasu Airport is the best road into this lovely town, as it takes you right down the lakeside and gives you a chance to explore this area a little bit before heading into the main attraction of London Bridge. Lake Havasu City is in Arizona but only around 5 miles from the Californian Border. The Lake is part of the Colorado River although this section was much prettier than the muddy waters that we had seen around the Canyon area. The Lake was formed when Parker Dam was built in the 1930's and is a haven for wildlife around... Read review

...the bridge and my stomach drops, my fear of height kicks in, just a little bit too late. We take a walk on a wooden walk way 50m from the floor, we walk alog until we get to the look out tower and then the worst part starts (in my opinion) the climb up the ladders, theyre etremely steep and your getting very high very quickly but as soon as your up the top it all easses off and your able to calm down and take a look at the view for the first time. once everyone has climbed up the real climb starts, and you begin the ascent across the arch towards the top. We stopped a few times for pictures and a few group pictures (which are avaiable later at the shop) and our instructor talks to our about sydney and the surrounding bays. ...a balcony (which is solid and therefore safer) or a patio, both have tables and chairs so you can sit out and enjoy the wonderful warm air blue sky and evening glows. Not all rooms have a sea view, it is worth paying extra for a sea view as some look out onto the cliff wall,. There are several landscaped gardens dotted all over the hotel, on the ground floor there is a waterfall with streams and a heated pool. This pool has a little bridge and a in water bar. On the cliff top there ares two other pools, one is large and freeform with a spectacular view over Naama bay, the other is more a function rectangle with a row of dive boards at one end for those who wish to use thier swimming expertise. Advantages: fantastic 4* hotel

...We have just returned from our honeymoon in Cyprus. We stayed at the Capo Bay Hotel, which stands on the Fig Tree Bay in the resort of Protaras. It is one hours drive from Larnaca Airport. (I will reveiw Protaras as a resort separately. This review is solely on the Capo Bay Hotel). The hotel was fantastic. It is 4star hotel and the service and facilities are great. The Capo Bay hotel has 225 rooms over 4 floors and was built in 1985. It offers a gymnasium with massage and jacuzzi, tennis, scuba diving, pool, 2 swimming pools (1 heated) and 4 different restaurants to eat in, including 1 beside the pool. We paid £1500 for two weeks Bed & Breakfast. This was for an inland view room, but because we were on our honeymoon, we were upgraded to a seaview room. We overlooked the swimming pool and had an excellent view... Read review

Advantages: Huge, beautiful bridge, beautiful drive
Disadvantages: Fog in AM, no pedestrian access

...Driving on the top of this set of bridges than spans 12 miles over four islands is far far more impressive than Golden Gate is, in my opinion. The only down side is that you might not see anything on a foggy day on the bay bridge - sunset coming into San Francisco from outside usually ensures that the fog has been burnt off and gives good tones of light to see the bridge and the views with. This is certainly not one you can walk - i don't believe there is any kind of pedestrianised access whatsoever. You might be able to cycle, though i seriously doubt that too. Strictly a motorised vehicle excursion. Take this bridge to see what lies outside the main SF town - flat and lush plains for agriculture, huge malls and factory outlet complexes (good for discount shoppping trips) and is generally warmer and less foggy than the bay is.... ...this was a very good idea, as I have always thought it pointless when staying at hotels that the bedding is changed every day. We booked online direct with the hotel for our stay. We had the option of smoking or non smoking rooms, and also could request, bay view, garden view, etc. We requested a bridge view, and we had just that. From our room you had a direct view to the golden gate bridge, not at all obstructed. This however did have it's drawbacks as it meant we were at the front of the hotel. The traffic noise could be heard quite well in the middle of the night,. As we were so busy in the day we just flaked out at night so it didn't really bother us, but I did hear a couple of other people moaning about it in the breakfast room. So if you think that this would bother you, request a garden view room which are based at the back of the hotel... Read review

...If you want to get a feel of what life was like for some of those early pioneers (or entrepreneurs if you want to call them that) then you need to take a trip to the Capilano suspension bridge - I do have to say that I feel it is somewhat over priced (after all the scenery is free - and all around you) but I guess you are paying for all the research and the money - some of it does go back into local native projects and it is a good day out especially if you have Kids. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day here just being tourists. Sometimes people who live in an area forget that visitors do not always have the time to go here there and all over the place to get the feel of a places history and they will pay (all be it grudgingly) to have it all presented with depth and enthusiasm to make it value for money. Which you get in spades... Read review

...Well, this is my Brooklyn Bridge! As I've been paying taxes here in this city forever and paying state and federal taxes, I'm sure that I own a great large part of the bridge but I'm willing to share it with everyone who dares cross it on good or bad days. ***************** The Brooklyn Bridge could be an "all-day' trip for tourists who want to savor most parts of the city ---from afar. A traveler can cross the bridge and stand in the center of it and see awesome sites. One can see the South Street Seaport from the bridge and see it in a way that one doesn't see it if one is on land. One can see the Watchtower buildings and their awesome God messages "READ THE BIBLE" , and one can see all the graffiti in the city at the tops of large buildings --again all in view as one passes through the city on that great...
