Disadvantages: Very unreliable, low MPG (well, I'll try to be practical)

...I enjoy luxury cars, lets face it who doesn't. Prior to buying this car I have owned Porsches, Aston Martins, and Bristols - I thought I would continue the trend and try a Bentley. I don't like convertibles, mainly from a practical point of view as I have had the roof slashed on cars I used to own - very costly to replace. Thus, the Continental was the obvious choice - there are three models - the R, T and SC. The R has a lower specification than the SC, the T is the most powerful, doing 20MPH more than the other two, and as expected has more brisk acceleration. Me, being the sporty type plumped for the T version, also it is considerably cheaper than the SC. The options to customize your car offered by Bentley are superb - they fulfilled my desires for black quilted leather, with bright orange piping, they also carried this theme... Read review

Advantages: Clean, nice rooms - amazing views from roof top balcony
Disadvantages: 24 Hour coffee bar was actually a vending machine!!

...My lovely husband booked a short stay in New York for my “surprise” 30th birthday. This was in 2002 and we went there at the beginning of October of that year. Just as a side note before I start the review of the hotel, the weather was fantastic and for much of the time we went out regularly in T-shirts. Anyway we stayed at The Bentley Hotel for the whole of our stay and overall we were impressed and enjoyed our time there. **ABOUT THE HOTEL** The Bentley is a 3 star hotel which was built in 1904 and last renovated in 2002, however I have a feeling some renovation may be going on now as the roof top restaurant has been closed until further notice. ...I bought this car in 2003 used from a main dealer with 33,000 miles on the clock. Being used to owning new cars, it really had the feel of still being new with factory mileage on the clock. The interior and exterior both made it look like new and drive like a dream. I live in a small town with major traffic problems and I find it a great hassle finding a place to park, this car is huge and has the turning circle of a bus compared to my other cars which were all smaller and less luxurious. I bought this car with metallic paint, cd changer, DVD player and TV's in the head restraints for £45,000 which was pretty good for a Bentley. I'd driven past the showroom many times and saw the price getting lower and lower until it finally reached my price range. ...I stayed here with my girlfriend, her sister and their parents for New Year 02/03. I did loads of online research to try and get us a decent deal (everywhere is really pricey during Chrismtas & New Year) and eventually plumped for the Bentley as it was well situated and looked pretty cool on its website - the attraction of its 'roof-top restaurant' was a clincher. Also, the majority of reviews that I read seemed to give it a thumbs-up. My girlfriends' sister actually lives in upstate NY so had the opportunity to go in person to the hotel a couple of days before we arrived to make two requests: 1. That both our rooms had a river-view. 2. That we could have a table in the restaurant on New Year's Eve. No problem on either count, she was assured (you can see what's coming, can't you?.....) Advantages: Modern planes, confortable seats, great frequent flyer programme
Disadvantages: Houston (their main hub) is awful

...My wife had flown Continental for the first time last year on a trip to California to visit family. Her only complaint was that transiting through Houston was a nightmare, even though she only had handluggage. Fortunately, Continental held the connecting flight to San Francisco (she wasn't the only delayed passenger) and she made the flight. She also found the service excellent and friendly. She joined Continental's Onepass frequent flyer programme. It has been voted the best several times by Skytrax users (www.airlinequality.com). Basically two return flights a year to California earns "Elite" status, and enough points for free upgrades on a future flight. ...<-----Way There-----> Back at the begining of August me my mum and my brother and sister flied out to California to see my Grandparents and Auntie. We live in England so we knew we had a long journey on our hands and from my previous experiances with other airlines I know that plane travel isn't the nicest thing in the world. Well Continental Airlines changed my opinion. We set out at 7 in the morning to Gatwik in London for our 12 o'clock flight. After 2 hours of traveling by car we reached the Airport and waved goodbye to my dad. We got our luggage and put it onto a trolley and we made are way to our gate. After a few minutes we arrived and seemed to have had a big queue infront of us. Advantages: Lightweight and fast, should be hard wearing...
Disadvantages: Expensive, but worth it !

...Just been for my first ride on my new Continental Grand Prix 4000 tyres, and thought I'd let you know about them. I know it's only a first use test, but will update this review when I've had them for a while. Also, I've assumed that if you're reading this, you have some interest and/or knowledge of bicycles. I hope that's OK... Continental have over 100 years experience in the development and production of road and mountain bike tyres, at the Continental Two-Wheel division's technology and development centre in Korbach in Germany. The Grand Prix 4000 road/race tyre is the sucessor to the excellent Grand Prix 3000 that I've had on my bike for 2 years or so. It's a "clincher" tyre (as opposed to a tubular tyre), so should fit most road/race wheels/rims. It was a bit of a narrow decision between these and the Continental Attack... Read review

...We flew Continental between Gatwick-Newark(NY)-Gatwick 2 weeks ago. Our experience can only be described as "Superb". We had a morning "outbound" flight, and an evening "inbound" flight. The check-in at Gatwick was fast and efficient, with friendly and helpful staff. I think they must be introducing a new "Self-Service" system, as there were plenty of staff around to direct you, and also to do preliminary checks on passports. From initially entering the terminal to checking in our bags took no more than 15 minutes. I was also impressed with the attentive nature of the check-in staff. I have to use a walking stick, and although when we booked the flights, we did not request any assistance, the member of staff who checked us in, asked if we required any assistance or help.
