Advantages: Beautiful surroundings, comfortable hotel, friendly staff
Disadvantages: Ripon is a little quiet...

...Myself and my husband stayed at th Ripon Spa hotel for 2 nights. The day before our break, the hotel rang us to say that there was a function on on the Saturday, but that the music from it shouldn't bother us as we wer in a different part of the hotel, which i thought was very courteous. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist, who checked us in and gave us some basic info about where th restauraunt was, what time breakfast was, etc. Best Western Hotels are quite perculiar in the sense that even though they are part of a national chain, they are independantly and often family run, so this one felt very cosy. Our room was on the frist floor and over looked the front of the hotel, across a main road and onto a landscaped park opposite. Advantages: Stunning Views
Disadvantages: No Parking

...something more impersonal. The restaurant although quite pricey served top quality food, definitely worth splashing out for a special meal. The real let down of the hotel was the parking. You need to book a parking space at the same time as your room as parking next to the hotel is very limited. We had to park in the public cart park situated at the top of a very large hill on the outskirts of the fishing village. However the hotel does operate a free taxi service to and from your car. I would also hasten to add this isn't a hotel really aimed at families. If you like good food, a quiet friendly environment and something a bit different the Fowey is for you. Advantages: Friendly and Comfortable

...and a great place rto meet other people. All drinks and meals in the pub can be charged to your hotel bill. The downsides of the hotel are that there is a car park but if the hotel is busy this can be limited and parking in Grasmere can get expensive. The pool is very nice but the gym is very small with only a bike and a treadmill. The reastaurant could do with some updating but the breakfast was very nice (we only stayed B&B). Overall, I would reccomend this hotel, it is friendly and comfortable and a good base to explore the lakes.... Read review

Advantages: Over 300 Malts and Exceptional Disabled Facilities
Disadvantages: Its' not the most inexpensive place to stay

...The Bell in Driffield is part of the Best Western Chain. Best Western is an international group of independent hotels, it is probably the largest brand of hotels in the world. I've never stayed at an overseas Best Western but have stayed at quite a few in the UK. They tend to be 3* hotels all with individual features. Not the standard big chain (with standard room sizes and incredibly boring….). Best Western Hotels tend to have lots of character and that traditional hotel ambience. In the main they are fairly small hotels (usually under 25 bedrooms - there are a few larger but not many). Best Western has an excellent website www.bestwestern.co.uk that regularly has some extremely good deals. Often 3 nights for two. .... I wished I had booked the Una Palace in Via Etnea, which looked brilliant. It is in the main shopping street with loads of cafes, bars, shops etc. and has a roof terrace which would give brilliant views of the volcano. I thought about moving hotels, but couldn't afford to pay again. My hotel room was very comfortable and clean with a modern bathroom with the usual toiletries. A reasonable buffet breakfast is included in the price. Room service seemed very restricted – although the bar did toasted sandwiches. If you are on a tight budget, advance internet booking on Best Western's website gives good value for money for the Hotel Mediterraneo. However, I don’t think this hotel would suit everyone. ...I stayed here when we were passing through, the hotel is very easy to find as its just off the M6. We hadn't booked a room so we went in off the off chance and there was availability. The car park is quite big, no trouble finding a space. There were alot of poeple staying there as well. Its a big hotel and the staff are all nice and very welcoming, we always saw staff cleaning and always doing something, never stood around talking. We had room service, the food was hot and alot to choose from. Served with tea/coffee and orange juice. The room was gorgeous and very quite even though its close to M6, we didn't hear traffic noise, We had a double bed which was comfy and it was more of a king size bed than a double. Advantages: the most spectacular resort in the world
Disadvantages: absolutely none

...). The Wild West has the most spectacular theming and some of the best old fashioned style rides too. It is home to the racing coaster Stampida and the most wonderful river rapids I have ever seen. It also has amazing western themed stunt shows garaunteed to thrill all. The park also has many themed restaurants themeed according to the areas in which they are situated. The restaurants serve quality food and meals but if you want just a snack there are simple snack bars too. Some of the shows are also amazing such as their award winning firework and laser shows, and fire shows. The Hotels... There are three on resort hotels all 4 star, the one I have stayed in was the Hotel El Paso, which had a mexican theme. The hotels all have amazing swimming pools and beutiful rooms with good evening entertainment. The service is wonderful and the restaurants... Read review

...I wanted to stay at the Plaza Hotel but for some reason it was fully booked. I wonder why? Oh yes there was that Hollywood Wedding going on! On my last visit to New York (late November 2000), I wished to stay in a hotel in which I would be treated as a person, instead as just another a tourist. (I found this when I stayed in a 2/3 star hotel). I would recommend that if you can afford it, go for atleast a 4/5 star hotel. I was not disappointed, with The Kitano Hotel. The Kitano Hotel is run by the Japanese and well, the service and friendliness of all the staff was excellent. The Hotel is on Park Avenue, about three blocks down from Grand Central Station (Two blocks from 5th Avenue). It is a first class hotel with an award winning chef. There are two resturants, one which caters in Western food, whilst the other resturant is Japanese... Read review

Advantages: Minutes walk to Oxford Street, Tube & Hyde Park!
Disadvantages: Moody receptionists

...Mostyn is situated minutes walk to Oxford Street which is well known for high street shopping and Marble Arch Tube Station. It is also close by Hayde Park where you can enjoy yourself walking or roller skating, cycling and even horse riding! Its very beautiful and relaxing down there! I would say it is a very good location as it is close to many tourist attraction and vibrant London's Night Life! I have stayed here couple of times during Christmas period when hotel was fully booked. I do not really know how much we paid for it, but I think it was not that expensive as my family is not Rich :) I really liked the Bistro bar with its informal atmosphere and bar tenders with excellent sense of humour. The restaurant in the hotel is a must try!!! The best Indian Restaurant! I heard its owned by Sir Michael Caine so its good! And prices... Read review
