Advantages: five stars for the Scott Walker songs alone
Disadvantages: the rest of the album is forgettable, but Scott's songs are amazing

...came up with two. They took lead vocals on their own songs. These were the first self penned Walker songs since the 1960s. Scott had had a very successful solo career after the 1967 break up and his superb albums contained a great number of brilliant Scott songs. But a crisis of confidence had led to a string of uninspired covers albums in the early part of the 1970s. The four songs that John wrote are all competent MOR rock. Gary's two are ok too, with "The Death Of Romance" even being considered as the album's title at one point. But it is Scott Walker's tracks that make the album worth buying. If you never listen to the other tracks - I have, but only once - then Nite Flights is still well worth tracking down. ...A Heavy Nite With... is the one and only album by Relaxed Muscle who formed in 2002, gigged in 2003 and sort of disappeared after the release of A Heavy Nite With.. towards the end of 2003. Often passed off as a bit of fun as many side-projects are I feel that this album is very under-rated, the lyrical content, grimey feel and quality music ensures that this electro album is up there with the best of them. Relaxed Muscle consist of Jarvis Cocker (need I say Pulp?) and Jason Buckle (All Seing I, Fat Truckers & a cameo role in Harry Potter), they used the pseudonyms Darren Spooner and Wayne Marsden and billed themselves as "The Sound of Young Doncaster" and claimed to have met whilst planting flowers, doing community service for burglary. The electronic offering is a reworking of many of the tracks featured on the excellent Soulwax album Any Minute Now, throwing in a Daft Punk cover and a 2 Many DJ's forte: a mash up of Any Minute Now's NY excuse and Lipps Inc.'s Funky Town. As you come to expect from dance offerings from the Dewaele brothers the ten tracks are mixed into one seamless half hour of drugs, dirty dancing and pounding, pounding techno music. The opening Daft Punk cover Teachers is an appropriate inception, lyrics citing nothing more than an eclectic range of influential artists with a course bassline grinding the mix into E-Talking, and straight into the album's first let down. ...I spotted a double DVD set of the two "Basic Instinct" films recently and it got me thinking how clever marketing people are. Sometimes, DVD releases will be set up so that you have to buy an unpopular sequel just to get a decent film, as they know the dodgy sequel won't sell on its own. This "Basic Instinct" double is one such example, but you could also look at the "Ghostbusters 1 & 2" set in the same way, as well as the "Smokey and the Bandit" trilogy. You'd never buy them all, but you don't have a choice if you want the originals enough. It saddens me to think that my favourite film of all time falls into the same category as these, having had a failed sequel. Feeding in winter increases making the costs increase, as horses need more hard feed (concentrated feed), as well as hay or haylage as the grass is less in winter and not as good therefore providing less nutrients. When feeding horses, it is essential to select the correct food for them. They need to maintain their weight, not be too fat or thin. They need to have the type of food suited to their temperament as some can make the horse too fizzy and even make them dangerous to ride if fed incorrectly. Other feeds may not be enough if the horse has no energy, they may need a bit more in their hard feed. Advantages: Some decent rhythm and blues
Disadvantages: Film dialogue in the wrong places

...on the move, which is where I prefer to have music playing and so I wanted a copy of the soundtrack album. Considering where the Blues Brothers were supposedly from, the opening number is quite appropriate. "Born in Chicago" is a 1960s style blues number with a rock 'n' roll undertone and reminds me of a slowed down version of a Chuck Berry song, although with the emphasis more on the blues end of the spectrum than the more rock 'n' roll sound that Berry had. But as I'm a Chuck Berry fan, even a slight comparison is good for me. The performer of the next track, "The Blues Don't Bother Me" is perhaps the most interesting thing about it. Although he's been a part of the Blues Brothers Band since the start, this is the first time I've heard Matt "Guitar" Murphy sing. It turns out he's got a gruff voice which is perfect for singing the blues... Read review
