Biotherm Anti-drying body milk
Review of Biotherm Anti-Drying Body Milk by
costas1234
Advantages: Smooth soft skin finish
Disadvantages: High price, Questionnable ingredients inside the bottle
...I read an article in a magazine that a free bottle of Biotherm was available for free. I bought the magazine called Zest as a way to save money to get the free sample bottle of "Biotherm" anti-drying lotion.
So having spent a few hours travelling to Central London to Selfridges i saw 2 or 3 similar women getting the same product.
Ingredients include Aspartic acid, Glutamic acid, Nicotiana, soybean oil, parrafinium liquidium among other chemicals.
Having read the ingredients of the contents does not convince me to use this stuff on my body.
What i did was test a little part on my finger to see the effects on my manly rough hands skin.
Upon opening there was a fake citrus orange or lime smell fragrance which i feel strongly is pleasant.
The milk took 2 minutes to partially absorb, leaving a smooth shiny finished...

Semi-skimmed body milk for summer skin
Review of Clarins Body Feel Good Fragrances Eau Dynamisante Moisturizing Body Lotion by
Maestrolover
Advantages: Great for sensitive skin, quickly absorbed, soothing/smoothing
Disadvantages: Not as effective during winter
.... This product: "Clarins Eau Dynamisante - Moisturising Body Lotion" was one of my gifts and after giving it my normal "try-out" it has become a part of - but NOT the be all and end all - of my regular body moisturiser list, please read on for more info.
Product:
Interestingly the French title of this product is: Lait Hydratante, which translates as "Moisturising MILK" and this is something which I'll be picking up on in the experience part of my review. Clarins describe the product as "hydrates, refreshes, softens" and also helps stimulate and tone as well as promoting soft and silky smooth skin. They claim in their blurb that: "In one easy step, this fresh, non-oily lotion tones, revitalises and leaves the skin satin soft. Leaves behind a light yet lasting veil of moisture and Eau Dynamisante's subtle fragrance." Additionally they also...

An average, albeit lack-lustre body moisturiser
Review of Boots Mediterranean Almond Pistachio & Milk Body Butter by
goldenc4
Advantages: Thick consistency and light smell
Disadvantages: Lack of nourishment to dry skin
...Why I Purchased This Product:
**********************************
I was given this body butter as part of a Boots 'Mediterranean' set for Christmas 2006 and it's taken me a while to open it- mostly due to the large number of body moisturisers that I have already. It's not the type of thing I'd usually go for, as it's not fragrance-free, and it's slightly above my price bracket for a product from a little-established range.
The Product's Selling Points:
********************************
It contains organic almond oil, pistachio oil and milk extract- all included due to their moisturising properties. As a sufferer of very dry skin myself, I was hoping it would live up to its claims…..
The Packaging:
******************
At first glance the body butter is contained within a relatively uninspiring tub. It is the standard...

Butter your body with Nuts
Review of Boots Mediterranean Almond Pistachio & Milk Body Butter by
missy0303
Advantages: Pleasant smelling, thick consistency, a little goes a long way,
Disadvantages: none unless you don't like the smell of almonds!
...you can easily see the peachy cream substance inside, which a durable black plastic screw off lid which is easily taken off even with slippery fingers.
The Claim…. With nourishing and soothing ORGANIC almond oil, moisturising and conditioning pistachio oil and skin softening milk extract. ….This is surely a recipe for baby soft skin? ……….. Yes! I have noticed my tired skin looking slightly more radiant since using this incredibly enticing body butter. I feel it is a lot softer too.
So onto the actual body butter…it is a very thick cream that won't fall out of the tub if held upside down or even if shook gently! So you get to use as little or as much as you need, you can really smell the almond and the pistachio is the secondary whiff you get when you inhale deeper. I've always liked almond oil and have found it always makes my skin...

Lancaster Luxury Bronze Goddess Milk
Review of Lancaster Silk Bronze Moisturizing Milk SPF6 Medium (For Face & Body) by
karleigh21
Advantages: very moisturising, good, even tan
Disadvantages: the smell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...I've seen this product featured heavily in many magazines such as Marie Clare. Cosmopolitan etc and it was often priced between £10-20 so imagine my delight when I saw it in The Perfume Shop for £4.99! It was ina special edition summer set which also included a spf6 pearly pink lipgloss. I immediately bought the set and took it home eager to test.
I had a shower and used a body scrub, but i didnt moistuirse afterwards as the product is advertised as 'silk bronze moisturising milk' and my skin is in pretty good condition anyway so i didnt bother with a moisturiser but if you dont usually moisturise your skin then i would suggest doing so before applying any type of self tan.
i grabbed my self tan mitt, and opened the big orange bottle to sqirt some on my mitt. the first thing that hit me was the smell! it really stinks of the usual...

If milk and honey was good enough for Cleopatra...
Review of Burt's Bees Milk & Honey Body Lotion by
pink_champagne
Advantages: smells lovely, smooth, soft skin
Disadvantages: expensive, doesn't stretch very far
...), but I'll give you a brief idea of some of the things it contains, and what they do for your skin.
Beeswax - What Burt's Bees product would be complete without it? Beeswax does not absorb into the skin, therefore creates a protective barrier to lock in moisture and create a shield against the elements.
Non-Fat Dry Milk - We've all heard the story that Cleopatra used to bathe in milk, but it's still being used today in beauty products as it has soothing and moisturising properties for the skin.
Honey - Honey has antibacterial properties, so is great for spots or blemishes. It too is a great moisturiser as it retains water.
The body lotion comes in a pale yellow bottle with a white screw top lid and (like the Burt's Bees hand cream I used) shows a black and white picture of a cow on the front. Like most of the Burt's Bees packaging...
