Boots Botanics Soothing Eye Make-Up Cleanser
Review of Boots Botanics Soothing Eye Make-up Cleanser by
cerysm
Advantages: Removes eye make-up with very little effort.
Disadvantages: The bottle opening could be improved for easier application.
...I originally bought Boots Botanics Soothing Eye Make-Up Cleanser because I was given a free Boots voucher to spend (one of those that has to be redeemed on one of a few selected brands). Since I stopped using cleansers that removed all of my eye make-up, I had been going through eye make-up remover quite quickly. I therefore thought that it would make sense to spend my voucher on a new one. I had heard good things about this and another Boots branded eye make-up remover. In the end, I decided to try this one because it looked so pretty!
Boots Botanics Soothing Eye Make-Up Cleanser comes in a plastic bottle (cylinder shaped) which is 15cm high and around 4cm wide. The silver lid (and opening) is around 1 1/2 - 2cm across. The bottle is clear, which is great as it is easy to see how much product is left inside, and also handy as before...

Boots Botanics
Review of Boots Botanics Face Wash by
pink_champagne
Advantages: leaves skin soft
Disadvantages: the pump keeps sticking!
...I love shopping in Boots- it's all the lovely stuff they sell, I can't help myself - and I often get free £5 skincare vouchers which can be spent on one of the Boots ranges. A few months ago I got one of the aforementioned vouchers for the Boots Botanics range, so I decided to treat myself to their face wash mousse.
This was the first Botanics product I had used, and also the first cleansing mousse, as I usually use either a plain face wash or a cream cleanser, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect.
WHAT THEY CLAIM
If the label is anything to go by, then this mousse should 'deeply cleanse the skin to eliminate impurities, excess oil, and dead skin cells.' And also as it contains rosemary and willowbark extracts, it should 'help clear and prevent blemishes whilst promoting a brighter, smoother complexion.' Hmmm… sounds good...

Boots Botanics
Review of Boots Botanics by
Mickie26
Advantages: Good for the sink and really works
Disadvantages: Expensive
...Boots Botanics is a very nice range I am talking specifically about their face - lift firming cream which I have been using for the past 6 months.
O.k it's slightly greasy at first espescially to the touch, but when you rub it in it applies easily and makes your face feel soft instantly. However I do feel it has a slightly greesy feel to it.
I can see it working well for older skins that are dry and need some moisture to them, but skins that are already greasy or soft then I think it would make them greasier.
It does add elasticity to the skin which is great. It smells slightly strange and I would say it's a mixture of sun tan lotion and maybe Nivea.
It looks like cream, but is a bit of a yucky colour of off white.
The pot is small and made of glass at 50 ml. It is a special blend of plant extracts that are pure enough...

Botanic Bonanza
Review of Boots Botanics by
patriciat
Advantages: Competitively priced
Disadvantages: Not all Boots Stores have full range of products
...I like several other opinion writers discoved Botanics courtesy of Boots 3 for 2 offers, as I am always at the front of the queue for a supposed bargain.
My first forays into the world of Boots Botanics were cleansing tissues (under a fiver), face renewal cream which was about £8 and night shift moisture cream, also about £8. The reason for the last two items was a glowing report in one of the Sunday colour supplements which got a number of guinea pigs to test various face creams without telling what they were and the Boots Botanics came out tops and everyone thought that they must be top of the range creams costing vast sums of money.
As I am old and decrepid and need every bit of help on offer and I'm a sucker for a bit of advertising these had to be top priority purchases.
The day cream was wonderful, not too...

Botanical Moisture
Review of Boots Botanics Day Shift Moisture Cream by
ChocolateChip
Advantages: The best moisturiser I have ever tried!
Disadvantages: Could do with a bit more lotion in the tube!
...It's only a matter of time before the dry skin comes back again eh? especially in the winter, and especially when I've been using unsuccessful moisturisers in the past through lack of there being a good one on the market!
Hooray my prayers have been answered!, a moisturising cream that really works! leaving your skin moisturised and feeling fresh.
I have to first say my praises to the Botanics range at Boots, I use these products from the cleanser to the powder compact foundation, I love it! and this product is no exception! The Botanics Day Shift Moisture Lotion really worked for me! (sounds a bit like a commercial I know!). The power of plants! is such an appealing and natural title for this range.
Value for money:
A great offer on the Botanics range at Boots when I bought this, was buy 2 get the third free! bargain...

In Defence of Botanics Forget the Day Elixir
Review of Boots Botanics Forget the Day Bath Elixer by
Eudora
Advantages: Smells gorgeous, contains extracts of chamomile and cinnamon
Disadvantages: Extravagant packaging, slightly more than I'd usually pay
...Judging from the opinions already posted here it would seem that Boots Botanics' 'Forget the Day' elixir is not very popular. I would like to put forward a positive review of this product, as though it admittedly has a couple of weaknesses, generally it is very good. The Botanics range is one of Boot's 'own brands' - along with the 'Natural Collection' and 'Skin Kindly' range, except that the Botanics range is unique its ingredients derive primarily from nature. I bought this bath product for two reasons; firstly, I am a big fan of all the other Botanics products I have used, and secondly, because there were a 150 extra Advantage Points available - which rendered the elixir very good value indeed.
The product is cased in a thick, antique-looking glass - which makes it very attractive, although I was also concerned about how much I...

Botanics Quick Fix Deep Clean Wipes
Review of Boots Botanics Quick Fix Deep Clean Wipes by
leebee81
Advantages: Quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: Pricey
...As you all can see from my current reviews, I am on a bit of a Botanics kick at the moment. Not because of the "all natural" claims (I've read too many Paula Bergoun books for that), but because I'm leaving the UK for Australia soon, and I want to try all the things I cant get back home. Boots and all its associated products is currently number one on that list.
Because I bought a number of other Botanics products (see reviews) I scored one of those £5 skincare vouchers the other week. Normally I don't buy the whole "special face wipes" line, because unscented hypoallergenic baby wipes are more likely than not exactly the same thing for half the price in a bigger packet. But I am due to fly for 22 hours next week, and I thought that since Im not really paying for them, it would be nice to try the Botanics version.
Usually...

Botanics Pore Perfecting Moisture Lotion SPF15
Review of Boots Botanics Pore Perfecting Day Moisture Lotion SPF15 by
leebee81
Advantages: SPF, cost-effective
Disadvantages: Dodgy cap, strange texture
...This is another botanics item I have recently tried, and another one I bought with a free skincare voucher. Originally I was looking for the Blanacing Shine-Control Cream but my local boots doesnt appear to stock it. So I picked this one instead.
It comes in the standard transparent plastic tube (in this case, 75ml) with a clear flip-top lid. I have used quite a few other botanics products and I have never had a problem with the lids, but theres a first time for everything. The lid is held onto the screwtop part by two plastic flexable "tabs". Unfortunatly, one of these has torn, leaving a sharp bit of plastic pokingout from the back of the lid. I'm fairley sure that the other one will go sooner rather than later.
The lotion itself isnt all that thin. Its probably halfway between a "cream" and a "lotion". A little goes a long way...

Effective brightening and cleansing botanics toner
Review of Boots Botanics Skin Brightening Toner by
Kateb8
Advantages: Good value, good results!
Disadvantages: Not a great fragrance, but bearable
...Botanics is a range developed for Boots, which uses natural ingredient extracts, formulated at levels which have been found to be effective.
I would recommend the range in general - I have found all of the products I have tried to be effective and pleasant and they are reasonably priced. There are sets for sale which make nice gifts.
As an extra bonus, Boots often runs 3 for 3 or similar offers on this range and you can of course collect points to use later if you have a Boots Advantage Card (loyalty card scheme).
Until trying this product, I had never been a fan of toner, thinking it was enough to cleanse and moisturise. I think I first ended up trying this product because of 1 3for2 type offer. However, I have been pleasantly surprised and have continued to purchase this, never allowing myself to run out!
The aim...

Botanics ? Because i'm worth it !!!
Review of Boots Botanics Shampoo by
Nicola_G
Advantages: Gives you nice shiney glossy hair
Disadvantages: None really
...I was always a user of Toni and Guy shampoo but i started using the botanics products for my face so i thought i would give the shampoo for blonde's a go.
I bought it for £3.89 from Boots of course and used it with the botanics conditioner for blonde's.
The shampoo is a nice yellow colour which i like and smells, i think, like grass which sounds strange but it really does smell nice.
You only need a small amount to massage into your head and it really does lather up well, i rinse with cold water and then use the botanics conditioner.
I have long hair and i can comb through my hair no problems and after blowdrying, i find it leaves my hair very soft and shiney. It does tend to bring out the blonde in your hair too....
