Liz Earle Orange Flower Body Wash - Brilliant!
Review of Liz Earle Orange Flower Botanical Body Wash by
miss_angie1
Advantages: EXTREMELY KIND TO THE SKIN
Disadvantages: 200ml BOTTLE NOT BIG ENOUGH!
...I started using Liz Earle products approximately three months ago after being introduced to Cleanse & Polish by a friend. I quickly became a convert as the products are perfect for my sensitive skin.
Since that time I have slowly purchased additional items in the range from Ebay and happended upon the Orange Flower Botanical Body Wash 30ml trial size.
As I suffer from Excema and have very sensitve skin I am always very cautious about the products I use on my body to avoid bad reactions. I purchased the trial size to test it out and was pleasantly surprised as it didn't aggravate my excema in the slightest.
The body wash contains natural ingredients which include oats and natural vitamin E, and is completely soothing and non drying. After use skin feels extremely soft and moisturised and it is in no way oily...

SMOOOOOOOOOOTH..........
Review of Boots Botanics Smooth Skin Body Polish by
CHRI5T1NA
Advantages: Smoothes skin/exfoliates, easy to use, smells nice
Disadvantages: I find I use a lot so can become a bit expensive! :op
...I first discovered this when I smelt the gorgeous smell coming from the bathroom after my mum had used her pot of Botanics Smooth Skin Body Polish. It was a very natural smell but one that gently lingers for ages.
After finding out what it was, I decided to get some, as I liked the “polishing” idea!
The Botanics range is made by Boots so obviously only available there, and on the wellbeing.com website. Boots also make Natural Collection and Skin Kindly ranges.
The Botanics range is very original as it uses some natural ingredients, although looking at the ingredients list, there are quite a few long, unpronounceable names in there!! Botanics also make make-up removers, foot treatments, deodorants, natural oils, hair products etc for men and women.
The Botanics Smooth Skin Body Polish comes in a 250ml and cost me £2...

Mmmmm Mallow and Meadowsweet
Review of Boots Botanics Quenching Body Wash by
Eudora
Advantages: Smells gorgeous, good value, silky smooth, easy to apply and wash off
Disadvantages: More expensive than some similar products
...As with all the Botanics products that I've used before, this Quenching Body Wash smells absolutely fantastic. I'm a firm believer in the power of scent and this aromatic concoction has certainly livened up a morning in the shower or an evening in the tub after a long, hard day. Arguably, if you want to save money then you may not think that the Botanics range is for you - but as with most things, you get what you pay for and Botanics is definitely worth every penny.
The substance itself is creamy and looks quite a lot like milk. It contains mallow, which is a herbaceous plant which produces disc-shaped fruit, pink or purple flowers and has hairy stems. The mallow extract helps to hydrate the skin, whilst the meadowsweet simultaneously rejuvenates. Meadowsweet is an Eurasian plant of the rose family which sprouts heads of creamy...

Just call me Slinky McVelvet
Review of Boots Botanics Satin Smooth Body Oil by
nikki1520
Advantages: Absorbs easily, good value for money
Disadvantages: None so far
...Every woman (and quite a few men) know that if your skin feels good, then you feel good (unless you've had the day from hell) Hence this wholehearted recommendation for Boots Botanics Smooth as Satin Body Oil.
My skin is a problem that I wrestle with on a daily basis. I suffer from eczema when I'm stressed and psoriasis most of the time (for those that don't know, these conditions involve, itching, flaking and occasionally red raw patches, especially around the joints) Although this product is not of itself a remedy for these problems, it doesn't make them worse like many off the shelf body moisturisers.
I bought the Body Oil about a month ago, and am now into the routine of using it every day. The Boots Botanics range is supposed to evoke the "pure power of plants" and all of their products that I've tried work really well, while...

My escape from stress
Review of Boots Botanics Lift Your Spirits Hydrating Body Mist by
SusanLesley
Advantages: Smells lovely and makes me feel better
Disadvantages: A ilttle bit oily in texture
...for taking on holiday or if you just want to try something new but don’t want to spend out on the full sized version.
I chose a small spray of Boots Botanics Lift Your Spirits Hydrating Body Mist. Since the bottle is small you’d wonder how they managed to get all that on the label really!
Anyway this was the 25ml size and it cost £2, so with the 100 bonus Advantage Points, the price was effectively £1. The full size of 150ml costs £3.99, so is obviously much better value, but then that’s what I would have expected.
It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a spray top, through which the liquid comes in a fine spray rather than a single jet if you see what I mean.
The writing on the bottle, visible only with a magnifying glass due to my somewhat dodgy eyesight and the VERY tiny writing, advises you to spray directly onto the skin...

Review of Boots Botanics Body Exfoliator by
anwar
Advantages: skin feels great!
Disadvantages: none
...I asked ciao to add this, as I wanted to share my find with you all. I bought this product just after Christmas, as I wanted something to improve my dry skin and cheer myself up. The excesses of Christmas, lack of sleep and the cold weather had all taken their toll on my skin. A trip to my local boots revealed numerous skin care products but it was the organics range, which caught my eye. I have used a few products from this range before and really liked them. I have also read good reviews on this site so was confident in making my selection from this range. The botanics range is made from plant extracts and claim they can provide significant beauty benefits. I decided to try the botanics body exfoliator to see if it could make my skin feel and look better.
What you get for your money
I paid £3.99 for a 250ml jar, which works out...

Gritty bits between your bum cheeks
Review of Boots Botanics Body Exfoliator by
atticusuk
Advantages: Good value
Disadvantages: Packaging
...Being a thoroughly modern man personal grooming is very important to me, I do not spend many hours in the gym creating the body perfect only to be let down by the odd stray nasal hair or a patch of dry skin so I have always used an exfoliator at least a couple of times a week while in the shower. I would like to point out that I do shower more than two times a week as we are now rich enough to boil the kettle three times a week.
Anyway about a week ago I was not happy to find my usual Simple exfoliator empty on the side of the bath room. Obviously one of the ankle biters had used it instead of shower gel however under intense questioning I was unable to remove the "butter would not melt" expressions both chose to adopt so being a fair parent I blamed my daughter as there is some doubt that soap ever actually touches the body...

Clean 'n' sultry body wrapper
Review of Australian Organics Evening Primrose Moisturizing Body Lotion by
chunkieuk
Advantages: Price, fragrance, non-greasy, easily absorbed, organic
Disadvantages: You must like patchouli to wear this
..., the fragrance of this lotion is enough to overpower the chlorine without suffocating you, as well as give your skin sufficient moisture to counter the drying effects of pool chemicals.
Because this is a relatively light lotion, I suspect that it will not be rich enough for anyone who suffers from extremely dry patches of skin - e.g. knees and/or elbows - it just isn't rich enough to cope with problem areas like these (Boots Botanics do a body butter that could do the trick for these problems).
If you don't have an aversion to patchouli and want to use products made of natural ingredients not tested on animals, this is certainly a more economical option than most good, non-greasy lotions on the market and smells a hell of a lot better than the not-even-cheaper alternatives in Body Shop, Lush and Boots. In fact, I've just checked Lush product...

Enjoy a Botanical day out
Review of National Botanic Garden of Wales by
pumfster
Advantages: Interesting. Good walk. Well laid out.
Disadvantages: Slightly pricey entrance fee.
...Whilst on holiday lately in Pembrokeshire, we decided on our way home to stop off in the National Botanic Garden of Wales as we had heard quite a lot about it on the news recently. We were quite glad that we did.
Firstly the gardens are located in Llanarthne, which is just outside Carmarthen on the A48. It is in the county of Carmarthenshire. Buses are also available from Carmarthen train station at regular intervals during the day.
** HISTORY **
Firstly I thought I would give you a little bit of background information into the place, basically just the stuff that we had heard about on the news before our visit.
The National Botanic Garden of Wales was set up part funded by the National Lottery in 2000, making it the first botanical garden created in the new millenium. However, the people running the project had vastly over...
