Mambo Sun: This song is quite typical T-Rex, with its pulsing rhythm and lilting guitars; it very much encapsulates the early 70’s glam rock era, so perhaps would only appeal to people who are interested in this era. The lyrics are typically rather cryptic and very abstract. This song is not particularly stunning, and definitely not one of the better tracks on the album. 2. Cosmic Dancer: Quite a slow, relaxed song with acoustic guitars and violin accompaniment. Marc Bolan’s voice is great on this song and is a very good example of his very distinctive singing style. I should imagine that this song has a wider appeal as it seems to me to be less dated now than many of the other songs on this album, and it was used in the film ‘Billy Elliot’. Advantages: Changed the sound of music in the seventies
Disadvantages: Died young so where would the music have gone if he lived?

...while unfit she never returned to England to face the charge. This means that a young man who had a lot to live for and a lot of music to make died and no one paid for his death. Shortly after he died fans of Marc Bolan broke into his home and stole most of his possessions. How sad for his family and friends to have this done. My first memory of T Rex then called Tyrannosaurus Rex was early in the 1970’s when a friend and I used to regularly go dancing. There we were, sweet sixteen, although I wouldn’t say never been kissed, in our hot pants, our high heels, catching the bus to the nearest town to dance the night away. There were many songs but one of my favourite, which was played over and over, was Ride a White Swan, something completely different, with undertones of love and lust. ...Previously I had been owned by Siamese,but the photos of these little pixie like street urchins kept jumping in to my head. It was pretty inevitable that one was going to appear in my life sooner or later. On 27th March 2003 Evie my red tabby Devon Rex was born,there in my life changed. When you say a cat has character this is a bit of an understatement. She likes nothing more than sitting parrot like on my shoulder. Bend down at your mercy,as a naughty Devon will soon be on your back. In fact I can probably say most of the time I look like an extra from 'The King and I' stooping around trying to find a convenient piece of furniture to place her on. Bathtimes beware as water is a huge attraction.She will actually try and sit on your knee whilst bathing.At least there is not a thick coat to dry off. All I can say that these comedians... ...The Rex 5000 pro is a credit card sized PDA which comes with a docking station (I belive earlier models were available without) and a hard and soft carrying wallet. The Rex has a Calandar, Contacts list, Memo pad, TODO list, time and world time, all server their purpose well and the more you use the unit the more intuitive it becomes, i.e. to create a new appointment in the calandar requires the minimum key presses as it learns your types of appointments and allows you to link them with existing Contacts, same with the TODO list linking a task to call someone with that contact. ...I'd never been a fan of the infamous Brand and really couldnt see what all the fuss was about. I especially couldnt see why women were swooning over him either,to me he looked like a scruffy guy that was desperately in need of a wash! However,I completely take it all back,not only is he one of the most hilarious and clever men/comedians of our generation,but my gosh I certainly wouldnt kick him out of my bed either! I first decided he was hilarious after watching him in the early hours doing Comic Relief early this year. I found his humour and the way in which things just came out of his mouth absolutely side-splitting. Im a bit extreme on the comedy front,and find really on the edge things hilarious,things that break the boundaries. ...THE KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE There's little doubt that Airplane! is probably the funniest film ever made. Whilst The Big Lebowski has come close to topping this distinction with it's more zany and articulated brand of humour, the 600-odd gags in Airplane's short running time, including the best visual gag ever in Ted Striker's drinking problem, will likely never be bettered. Likewise, television's Police Squad, despite running for only six episodes and pre-cursor to the Frank Drebin Naked Gun trilogy, is perhaps the funniest thing ever created for television - if only for the mock freeze frames at the end of each episode. And for all this we have to thank three men.
