...I had dreamed of visiting the entertainment and gambling capital of the world for many years, and not just through a desire to play poker in some of the world's greatest venues but to see one of the most mind-blowing cities imaginable. Being brutally honest my partner and I only opted to stay at the Imperial Palace for our week-long trip because of the price, if money wasn't an option then the likes of The Venetian, Bellagio and Caesar's Palace would have been but some of the obvious choices. Be that as it may I am glad we stayed where we did given the alternatives available on our budget. The Imperial Palace is ideally located slap bang in the middle of the Las Vegas strip standing just a short walk away from the Mirage, Venetian, Bellagio, Aladin and Caesar's Palace. Advantages: fantastic place

...Okay, you're in Las Vegas, NV. You don't want to just gamble all your money away - it would be nice to bring a few things back home, so that the casinos don't take all your money from your wallet. Obviously, you need to do a little shopping. Anyhow, here is a list of the main shopping areas around Vegas for you to try: 1. Forum Shops @ Caesars Palace - Obviously, these shops are located in the Caesars Palace, and there are plenty of shops/restaurants to choose from: All the BIG Names - Gucci, Spago, FAO Schwartz, Virgin Megastore, El Portal, Warner Bros, The Cheescake Factory, Nike etc. Some of the stores are higher-end type stores for those people with loadsamoney, but there are plenty of other stores for just about everyone. ...I was looking for a hotel and air package on Travelocity's web site. I entered the dates October 25 thur the 29th, (our 38th wedding anniversary.) From the list of hotel choices I chose CAESARS PLACE, for the tune of $1558.19 the results came back.. Hotel Information 4 NIGHTS Caesars Palace Check in Mon OCT 25 Check OUT Fri Oct 29. Flight Information: Outbound monday Oct 25th 11:45 Arrive 4:43pm Return Flight OCT 29 12:45 arrive 9:16am, I typed my credit number and booked the package. ( thinking midnight Friday ) Approx. 3 minutes later I receive an email with the itinerary, giving detailed arrival and departure,plus plane changes. ...Two of my friends decided that they were going to go to Vegas to get married and we though we would love to stay at Caesars Palace. It worked out roughly £1,000 for a deluxe room for two on a room only basis for 7 nights. When we got to the hotel itself we were not disaapointed by the lavish check in area with it's painted ceilings and marble and gold decor. We checked in with another couple and went to our rooms in the forum tower. When we got to our rooms the also didn't disappoint. The deluxe room consisted of a kingsize bed which had a mirrored ceiling above it and it also had a circular bath in the corner of the room which had a shower above it. The room had a TV but the only English channel was sky sports news which only shown at certain times on the Fox Soccer channel. The rest of the features were 2 wardrobes, a small... Read review

...thing that hits you as you fly into McCarren International Airport at the south end of the world famous strip. The first is the strip itself, which can be seen from many miles away. Huge hotels all themed differently and lit up spectacularly at night, which is when you should aim to arrive if possible. There’s the Luxor, the pyramid shaped hotel shooting out the most powerful beam of light on earth straight into the sky. There’s the MGM, the emerald coloured giant. The worlds biggest hotel with over 4,000 rooms and it’s own theme park. There’s the Bellagio with it’s dancing fountains, there’s the Mirage, with it’s erupting volcano and there’s Caesars Palace, perhaps the most famous of them all. ...'. Another of the 'out of this world' experiences Vegas has to offer. And we havent got to the hotels yet - How long have you got? Most hotels have a theme. LUXOR is based of old Egypt, fronted by a massive pyramid and inside is a world of the ancients. It is fantastic. Next door is the newly built MANDALAY BAY - themed on the far east, the orient, but in Real style. Outside is a manmade Beach with waves lapping on the shore. Fabulous place for sunbathing. Further along the Strip is the BELLAGIO, mentioned above for its dancing fountains, but is a truly top class hotel. Everything done in the best most exquisite taste. The hotel houses a gallery with priceless artworks, and several world class restaurants. Further along is CAESARS PALACE - which is just...well Casears Place - to my mind the best. .... WARNING – if sitting in the front row, make sure you eat fairly quickly as the horses can kick sand up into your meal. There are shows throughout the strip with huge stars such as Elton John and Celine Dion. However, performers often change and it is best to research who will be there at the corresponding dates. Huge musical shows as well as sports events are usually held at Caesar’s Palace. The gondola rides in The Venetian are a must for any romantic couples, serenaded as you travel through a canal inside the hotel. Definitely worth doing, as the scenery is beautiful – sounds a bit strange doesn’t it as you are inside, but the ceiling is painted like the sky and the shops and cafes around are stunning. ...Sin City On A Budget = The Imperial Palace is not the biggest or boldest hotel an casino on the Las Vegas strip. Most people probably won't have even heard of it, it's not exactly iconic. However it does have two very redeeming features, location and price. Ok, this isn't the Bellagio but let's face it who wants to spend all of their time in Vegas in their room when there's the opportunity to lose your money in any of the numerous and more famous casinos. You can just walk into any Casino in Vegas of course as they want your hard earned. Our room was a reasonable size, was clean, not too noisy with the doors closed considering the chaos outside, it was especially busy when we stayed due to it being Memorial weekend. ...-New York, have a strong theme element. For example, the Sahara is very Arabic, the Imperial Palace oriental and the Orleans French. These are no ordinary hotels. The Las Vegas hotels have superb facilities. Because they make the majority of their money from gamblers, the room rates are extremely reasonable in the city which has been built on losers. Other than the huge number of slot machines, most of the hotels have all of the facilities that you’d expect – excellent restaurants and fast-food eateries, gift shops, swimming pools and other entertainment facilities. It is very difficult to write about Las Vegas as unless you have been you won’t be able fully appreciate whatever I write.
