AndyGray2k7

Disadvantages: Sometimes they dont have the song you requested
...::::Who are Capital Disney?::::
Capital Disney is a 100% kids radio station offering "Your Music, Your way". Which basically means you can ring up, email or text ti request a song! Although sometimes they don't have the song you want to request, either because its unsuitable or they simply don't have...
But capital disney does play the latest 21st Century hits by McFly, Bel's Boys, Natasha Beddingfield and more!!
Capital Disney is owned by GCap Media and The Walt Disney Company. The targeted audience age for Capital Disney is 8-16.
::::What kind of presenters are there?::::
Alot of the presenters on Capital Disney have moved on to do other things on GCap Media's stations (usually presenting). But the ones that are currently on now are excellent!
Some of the long time presenters, like Nigel Mitchell is one of the best shows. Nigel...

Given a chance
Review of Capital One Premier by
bianfran
Advantages: online shopping, accepted almost anywhere
Disadvantages: interest high, low credict limit
...Capital One gives credict to people that are new to the credict idea. Someone new can trust yourself to Capital One if you never had a credict card before. They offer secured and unsecured cards. Each month you will be put on the credict report to show your rating. The interest is sort of high with it varying from the balance transfer rate of 1% to the normal rate of about 17% annually. They offer guaranteed protection for all those that shop online. With Capital One you will not be disappointed online about someone accidently getting your number. Keeping your credict good and other credict cards will contact you before you know it. The negative side of Capital One would be when you can not afford the bill no longer. The interest climbs as with most, and they will even call to ask what happened. It is a great self starter for the person...

CAPITAL ONE CREDIT CARD
Review of Capital One Premier by
nagorski
Advantages: They will give you a credit card if no one else will!
Disadvantages: Bad Customer service/Very high APR
...The Capital One Credit Card is the only company that I could find who would give me one!
A few of us in our younger days did a little bit of damage to out credit, Capital one has offered me a £200 credit limit, I have to pay £1.66 each month just to have the card and the APR is 29.7%! So unless you are sure you can be responsible with a credit card, i would leave it well alone orr you could get in to a terrible circle with it.
I have had the card 3 months, The service I have recieved has not be very good, whether this is because they know I cant get a credit card anywhere else?
I had to wait for 1 month to get my card delievered, The first one did not turn up, as well as not getting a first statement. As I did not get a statement I did not know when I had to pay my bill. Capital One charged me £18, which after hours of phone calls...

Loyalty is worthless with Capital One
Review of Capital One by
dixterdawg
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Don't value loyalty
...I have had a Capital One card for over 4 years and have always paid on time, kept within all the limits....what I consider to be a good customer. I chose Capital One because I couldn't get a credit card elsewhere and thought I would build my credit rating through it, which I did.
Today I decided to give their customer services a ring and see if I could change to a lower rate of interest from the extortionate 30%. I have a credit limit of £1500 which has increased from the measley £200 I had to start with so I thought they must value my custome.
Their customer services had the attitude 'if you don't wan to pay the rate you can always cut the card up'. I said that I would do that and there was no argument or referral to another staff member....nothing.
So, once you have a Capital One card, you can like it or lump it!
I'm off to get...

Two Wrongs don't make a Right
Review of Is capital punishment wrong? by
Roberts
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Innocent people die,
...The issue of Capital Punishment is one that has been debated ever since in began. When it was in practice people wanted it stopped and since it has been stopped people feel the need to want to reintroduce it.
‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth’ is the famous saying that seems to be used a lot in this subject. But if someone hits you and you hit them back that makes you just as bad. Two wrongs don’t make a right. As you can probably now see I am against Capital Punishment, but my views on the subject are often brought into question. When we are dealing with such a serious thing as ending the life of a human being it has to be all or nothing. Either no one receives Capital Punishment or everyone who commits murder should receive Capital Punishment. However nothing is ever black or white. My view...

So you want credit, well now you can
Review of Capital One Premier by
felix.ferrero
Advantages: Good for rebuilding your credit rating
Disadvantages: High charges and interest rate
...You hear all this bad press about Capital One, but it provides a very good service.
If you apply for the Capital One card it should be for only one reason, and that is to rebuild your credit.
Capital One is probably the only major bank that actively encourages people with bad credit to apply. They offer you a low credit limit, and charge you high interest. They provide a good service, and they charge high for it, but so do a lot of companies.
To start of with if you have a bad credit rating they will offer you a Classic Card with a low limit (£250 normally), and a higher than average interest rate, however, pay of your bills by the due date, and you will find that in a matter of months, your credit has been built up to a decent level, meaning you can get loans and credit from other sources. They charge an annual fee for the card...

CAPITALISM! HUH! WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR?
Review of Everything that starts with C ... by
tallpaul1983
Advantages: Works for some?
Disadvantages: Screws the rest! Or does it?
...A jokey e-mail i got the other day (which is included for light relief you'll be pleased to know!)got me to thinking about the next op that i could put up. Fed up with writing serious review about comparing this to that in exchange for read fees i decided to have a rant in the cafe about Capitalism!
Doesn't capitalism suck. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer while those stuck in the middle (unfortunately like myself) wring their hands and worry about how terrible it all is and how the world is in such a bad way. Maybe i'll give £2 a month to a charity to make myself feel a bit better, like i'm not one of those self-centred capitalists draining the world of its natural resources. But hang on their a minute, i hear you cry, do market forces not allocate resources in the most efficient manner, forcing companies to pay extra...

Punishment or Rehabilitation
Review of Is capital punishment wrong? by
R_Easton
Advantages: Revenge? 'serves them right'
Disadvantages: It's Crazy
...I don’t agree with Capital punishment but I am going to try to make a balanced argument in this op. I have split it into the different reasons for punishment.
‘Revenge’
“An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth”. The victims and/or their relatives will want retribution for the crimes committed and so Capital punishment will be a good solution of this problem. The ultimate for of revenge is probably death (maybe immense torture) but many victims wouldn’t want this (the ones who don’t believe in capital punishment)
Rehabilitation + Discouragement of re-offence
Capital punishment obviously wouldn’t help at all with these two, but many would claim that a murderer will always be a murderer. I think if there is any hope of changing the offender’s outlook then it should be tried. Rehabilitation involves training the offender in extra...

Be Very Careful With Their Credit Card
Review of Capital One Classic Mastercard by
art1954
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: debt
...Capital One…….Be Careful To Pay On Time..
I have a credit card with Capital One and when I clear it I will cut the card up and throw the pieces in the air. I will explain!
I took the card out about two years ago. The leaflet dropped through my letterbox telling me how wonderful it would be to have a Capital One card in my pocket, how cool and great this card would make me. So me being a fool at the instant offer of a bit of money applied for the card and was accepted and had the card within a week, I have to say that Capital One are not to fussy who they give credit cards to as most of my family have been offered one over the last year. And the fact that they gave me one right away proved that they give one to anyone!!
So card in my hand, being a bit skint and Christmas coming I am tempted to spend a bit of this money...

No good for internet purchases
Review of Capital One Platinum by
mfcomputers
Advantages: Good introductory rates
Disadvantages: Most internet transactions get declined
...I like to buy from the internet, but I've had all sorts of problems with this card.
Despite being within credit limit, never missing a payment, always using reputable sites, and entering all details correctly including address and signature strip data, internet transactions always seem to be declined. There's no problem with retail purchases, only internet.
I'm told by Capital One that this is due to their points scoring system, and basically it can decline anything if it's internet based! Even when customer services told me they'd over-ridden it for one purchase, it was still declined! The retailer in question stated that if a transaction was declined, it was usually a Capital-One card.
Don't bother if you want to use for internet purchases....
