Sweet Chocolate v Battery Acid
Review of battery-force.co.uk by
markd_uk
Advantages: Great batteries at Great prices, with free chocolates
Disadvantages: It's not as easy as popping to the shop
...'re often left cursing in the dark. The cheap ones you bought off the market stall from the slightly dodgy-looking geezer aren't even powerful enough to operate your solar-assisted calculator and when the CR11108 in your car's remote blipper finally fails you find yourself kicking the tyres in frustration. Which will probably set the alarm off.
With prices in the shops ranging from the so-cheap-it's-never-going-to-work to the sublimely so-expensive-my-bank-manager's-having-a-heart-attack, it's time to consider rechargeable units - and these can be expensive to start with. You've got to weigh up the extra price over the fact that they can be charged over 1000 times before they need replacing, but then you need to buy a charger too.
Sadly, it's rare these days to find a "battery shop" and you'll end up paying through the nose for some...

Let the Sun save your battery
Review of ICP Solar Battery Saver by
Discerna
Advantages: Helps prevent flat batteries; achieves longer battery life
Disadvantages: None
...As a student with an ageing car, my mileage was irregular and the car was often parked outside, so keeping the battery charged was a continual challenge. The car could be guaranteed not to start at the most awkward of moments. A trickle-charger was an essential piece of equipment but even it was of no use if I couldn’t find anywhere to plug it in within reach of where I could park the car safely. Removing the battery was a cumbersome alternative. I became adept at using jump leads too but there were times I wished I didn’t have to. I wish someone had thought of the solar-powered battery saver at that time.
Nowadays my battery is more likely to run down through all the so-called “key-off electronic drains” (radios, clocks, alarms and use of other devices that work through the cigar lighter), or through doing too many short...

Brmm, Brmm, My Car Mummy, NOT YOURS
Review of Early Learning Centre Friends First Car by
Groovee
Advantages: Tough durable car, switch to switch off noise, brightly coloured,
Disadvantages: Noisy
.... These alone cost £5 and you could buy more to change them all over as they are all different. Also when the sounds go the lights, light up too! These are ok but not spectacular! It is also made of a smooth yet tough plastic which so far we haven't had any bits break off and if it can be broken you can be sure that Eilidh will break it!
Batteries are included in this toy and it has been used frequently by the buyer of this toy and haven't yet run out like other batteries which were in Christmas presents! The batteries go underneath the car just next to the the on/off switch! You need a screwdriver to get in and it was hard to get in! I needed hubs to open it for me to check what batteries were required for replacement! You need 3 AA batteries when they do finally get run down!
The car makes various sounds but doesn't really do...

Yes car credit, smess car credit
Review of Yes Car Credit by
silverpunts
Advantages: They have cars
Disadvantages: They dont listen, dont know what after sales care means
...I purchased my car from Yes Car Credit on the 21/12/2002 and by the
23/12/2002 I began to find countless problems with it.
* The plastic on the underside of the car fell off and is worn beyond
repair.
* The headlamps do not fully work.
* The car has been fitted with the incorrect exhaust (As advised by
the AA) which is why there is loss of power and incorrect omisions
going through the car.
* The passenger's side window has dislodged itself and will not wind up or down (basically just fell out).
* 1st gear on the car doesn't slot straight in.
* The car had to be fitted with a new battery when it wouldn't start (I paid £60 for that battery).
(AA left me with the old battery to prove it was dead.)
* The break pads seem to be on their way out, as they are continuosly screeching as I brake.
* The alarm immobiliser goes...

Why you may never need to buy batteries again
Review of Uniross - Battery charger - 14 hr - 4xAA/AAA, 2x9V - included batteries: 4 x AA type NiMH 1300 mAh by
Drone007
Advantages: Speed, reduce in cost of batterues
Disadvantages: battery time gets shorter as used more
...Everyone owns something which requires batteries. They always run out at awqward times and cost you a ton of money.
Then people look at rechargeables and if they dont look at the right ones, they loose out on battery time or could even cause damage to the product.
This uniros set is definately good value for mony. Looking around you can pay this much for a charger by itself and half as much for a good set of rechargeable batteries.
Ont he charger itself there's an easy to see green/red LED telling you when the charge is complete. This can be easily seen and prevents confusion.
The chrage times it provides will depend upon the batteries use, however the ones included can be charged in about 3 hours.
The batteries themselves are high quality with a good battery time. They are intended for use on electrical items and usually...

Charge of the battery bridage!
Review of Uniross - Battery charger - 14 hr - 4xAA/AAA, 2x9V - included batteries: 4 x AA type NiMH 1300 mAh by
sarkles
Advantages: very compact, quick charging, easy to use
Disadvantages: none yet
...I brought this battery charger just after Christmas, after being given a new digital camera and completely wearing the batteries down within 2 days, ha ha simple things eh? I was originally looking to buy some new rechargeable batteries which were compatible with the camera but after a bit of research, decided to get this smart little charger.
I purchased this item from Argos and the pack included:
An Uniross Photo Battery Charger
4 AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries
This pack cost me £17.99 but as one pair of rechargeable batteries were in the region of £6-7, this to me seems quite reasonable (at last, SOMETHING I found to be a bargain!), but since doing some research on the net, I have found the same product to be slightly cheaper on certain websites.
The instructions with the pack were to allow the supplied batteries...
