...The All Saints are under a lot of pressure at the moment. With a new single out and trying to promote this album in other countries, as well as having huge arguments and threatenings of quitting the band left, right and centre, they really don't look like they are going to be around for much longer. And it's just as well really. This album is good, and features some excellent material in places (not least the singles, which are the only things that have driven the sales for this album in my opinion). However, this album really doesn't live up to the standard of the previous album (entitled 'All Saints', which features such classics as 'Never Ever', 'Under the Bridge' and 'Lady Marmalade') and you can't help thinking that things can only get worse (and ultimately the songs as well). Along with them they also have talented right back Chris Baird and also Danny Higginbotham who was signed from Derby will prove to be another brilliant buy by Strachan. The Midfield is probably becoming one of the better ones in the league, behind the top 5 clubs at least. The key 5 players who can play in the centre of midfield are key to saints success, Matt Oakley is a solid midfielder who along with Chris Marsden provide a solid middle. David Prutton, signed from Nottingham Forest is a superb young player who will become a full England international in the near future after impressing in the Under 21’s. ...All Saints' second album is even better than their quality debut. Covering a more varied range of styles, Saints & Sinners moves away from the tried-and-tested R'n'B formula and is more varied. Even non-All Saints fans will find something they like on here. The William Orbit produced stuff is definitely the most interesting - the two singles, Pure Shores and Black Coffee, capture that Madonnaesque feel, while Surrender and Dreams are also worthy of the No.1 spot. However, unlike Madonna did with her Ray Of Light album, the Saints haven't just collaborated with Orbit. The Lucy Pearl-like All Hooked Up is produced by K-Gee, who is also responsible for the R'n'B sounding material you can find on here. ...The All Saints album Saints and Sinners is definetly made by saints!it is no way a sin!With all the recent speculation over whether the group were gonna split and whether Mel and Shaz were gonna go alone-the group really needed a succesful album to keep them together which i think this is.If u liked Black Coffee and the current single All Hooked up then this album is definetly your cup of tea...all the tracks are of similar beats and there are some very catchy tunes there aswell as some slower ones like Pure Shores,so this album really has the potential to please anyone who has ever liked anything by All Saints...the second album has a more grown up feel to it and is in a word...FUNKY! ...First of all I wish you all merry christmas. I hope you all got many things you like. One of my presents I got was the latest album by All saints called „saints and sinners“. I like this album very well, because I think it´s a mixture between R&B and Pop music. Here in Gerrmany they have published Pure Shores and Black Coffee. Both of them attacked the charts in hole europe. The soundtrack of „The Beach“ is not that successful in Germany than Black Coffee. I think All saints shown that they are more professional and successful than the Spice Girls. I mean in Germany. I don´t know whether this is the case in England too or not.
