...The bottomline is that Chanels Coco Mademoiselle is a wondeful scent which exudes pure class. It is generally more expensive than other perfumes and you won't often catch it on sale or in a deal. But its worth it, because its not a trendy, sickly sweet or seasonal scent. You will be paying more because its a big brand name but also because its a classic. A much lighter, fresher and younger scent than chanels no.5 and others it is just the right thing for a young, sexy and classy scent. An ideal signature scent it is appropriate for day and evening wear and is not limited to seasons. ...I have always liked the Chanel range of perfumes but felt that because they are quite heavy and spicey they are only really suitable for evening time. However, recently Chanel have launched a lighter more flowery perfume called Coco Mademoselle. Because it is quite pricey at between £45 and £60 a bottle I could not justify buying it for myself. So I was delighted when my staff who obviously think I am just a wonderful boss bought me some for Christmas!! This fragrance appears to appeal to both male and females as I have had many compliments whilst wearing it. It also has great staying power, usually most perfumes will dissappear half way through the day however, I find that I prefer to use it as an evening perfume probably due to the fact that it is so expensive and I want it to last as long as possible. ...COCO. Mademoiselle Chanel's affectionate nickname, was the obvious choice for perfume creator Jacque Polge's 1984 tribute to the legendary designer. Polge was insrired by the enduring spirit of Chanel, a woman who gleefully encouraged the linking of opposites. The fragrance is enriched with paradoxes, reflecting an exciting woman who is many things but never the same. Origional classic!! Heady and Sexy!! I have to say that the first bottle of COCO I aquired was as a gift from an ex! Who had chosen it as his ex used to wear it!! ...Everyone has what is their signature perfume, that perfume that you know is just them. Dior's Poison will always remind me of a dear friend who practically bathed in the stuff. CK Obsession will always be my little Sister and Chanel no 5 will always remind me of my Mum when I was a small child. For years Givenchy's Amarige was my perfume of choice it was my signature perfume. I flirted with numerous different perfumes over the years as my dressing table will show testament to this fact, but I always returned to the perfume that never let me down unlike others now cluttering up my dressing table. ...I received this perfume as a present a few months ago. I'd already tried a couple of other Chanel fragrances, and to be honest, I hadn't been impressed. So, when I opened my present, although I was flattered to have been bought a reasonably expensive perfume, I didn't expect too much of the smell. How pleasantly surprised I was! The packaging was simple but elegant and the liquid contained inside the bottled was an attractive peachy colour. The fragrance is amazing! In the past I'd found Chanel fragrances a little heavy and not really suitable for my age group (early twenties), but Coco Mademoiselle is different, and it seems Chanel have finally bridged the gap between the young and their usual middle-aged market. ...Every woman should own at least one bottle of Chanel perfume and just perhaps it should be Allure. Back in the 1920's Coco Chanel launched perhaps the first designer perfume - the famous No5 over the intervening years further perfumes were added to the Chanel range. Each individual in their own right but each similar in the fact they were marketed for the sophisticated woman and having that distinct Chanel smell. Coming from such a design house then Allure did have a lot to live up to when it was first launched back in 1996. ...Ask someone to name one perfume by Chanel and you can bet your bottom dollar that No5 will be the first that comes to mind. Immortalized by Marilyn Monroe, who when asked what she wore in bed smiled and said " Number 5". Chanel No5, the grande dame of perfume is well into her 80's now having first been created way back in 1921 by Ernest Beaux. ...junkie I'll admit to having a bottle of this, it's not a firm favourite at all and for many years I did avoid Chanel perfumes due to the fact I thought No5 was slightly medicore and a little bit dated in all honesty! Chanel Allure on the other hand is definetly a more sophisticated 90's perfume. Allure was created by the Chanel nose - a posh word for perfume maker Jaques Polge, his aim was to create a sophisticated, seductive perfume which Chanel launched in 1996. Polge was also responsible for the making of Coco Chanel and Egotise in the 1980's. Chanel packaging has always been simple and so easily recognisable as such.
