...These guys are a welcome addition to the Disney family. We were in Orlando last year and we saw that there was a circus there called Cirque Du Soleil. I had heard of them from a cousin who said they were great, but the price (£50.00) put us off. We went home without seeing them. In February this year, Cirque Du Soleil came to Manchester and set up their Big Top (or Grand Chapiteau as they called it) not 5 minutes from our house. This time I decided we would go to see them regardless. Within minutes of returning home, I was on the phone demanding that my parents drop everything and go to see it immediately. They did. We all then became Cirqueophiles. So, when we turned up in Orlando in April this year, we knew that despite the cost we just had to see them again. ...Varekai is another superb Cirque Du Soleil masterpiece. I took my family to this show in the Royal Albert Hall (Grandparents, Parents and kids aged 12 and 8) and they all thoroughly enjoyed the show. The show runs in London until 10th February so book now if you want to see something quite different but spectacular. For people who have never been to one of Cirque's performances it is difficult to describe so here goes! Varekai is a beautiful combination of music, dance, comedy, trapeze acts and unusual "flying" men! Think of it as a very modern day circus style show with amazingly talented performers in breathtaking costumes with a specific theme throughout. ...Well this was my first Cirque du Soleil show - and I went with no preconceptions about it, and was pleasantly surprised. I went begining of last year with my seven year old daughter at the time and paid about $100 a seat - got a discount :) We were sat 2nd row and just right of centre - perfect!!! Walked through MGM and saw a couple of elaborately dressed entertainers which got us hyped up for the show, and you queue near the shop so it gives you a little impression of what your going to get. We grabbed some drinks and went in -not what I was expecting at all!! It was amazing! We walked into the big theatre which was taylor made for the show and very impressive, found our seats (good leg room and very comfy). But what I wasn't expecting was the stage - as there wasn't one, just a small wall surrounding what should be one , and a dark... Read review
