...Clark’s shoes. When I was little my mum and dad would take me to the Clarks shoe shop in St Ives Cambs. They did not like taking me there cos I would scream and scream till I made everyone sick of me. I hated new shoes, I used to be frightened of the machine that measured my feet had to put foot into a box and it gave a sort of x ray picture to measure your foot, it was scary. However mum and dad persisted and I was bought new Clarks shoes. Clark’s shoes were and still are some of the best for little feet. My grandson has a pair. When he gets his feet measured he just has to put his foot on a foot measure and they can see by the markings on the measure what size he needs. ...If your a parent and they wear shoes you won't want to miss clarks, They are brilliant with a good seletion of shoes to choose from, and when you buy from clarks you know they are the best shoes for little feet. The prices aren't brilliant But if you want good shoes that are going to last you have to pay the price. well at least have one good pair of shoes for them and cheaper ones for getting muddy!!! clarks also have 2 brilliant sales a year one mid december and one begining of june where childrens shoes are half price. I also took my son in there last week for his first pair of shoes and they properly measured him and noted down for me and took a photo of him in his shoes for me to keep!!! From the moment he meets the Lys Alvin’s adventures really take off and lead him to make some shocking and mind blowing discoveries. At first glance ’The City and the Stars’ would appear to be another standard ‘comparison of two very different civilisations’ Science Fiction story but under the surface this novel has so much more. Arthur C Clarke has always been good at painting imaginary worlds and his depiction of the haven like city of Diaspar is a fine example of his craft. This book was written in 1956 and even today the ideas and landscapes that Clarke evokes are completely alien. Given that you may not have seen my previous review, I would just paste some background information I included in the review for Season 2 and add information and comment directly relevant to Season 3. BACKGROUND The show originally aired on TV from 1993 to 1997. The stories generally follow the Superman comic book by John Byrne. ...I don't know about anybody else, but I think that a lot of TV ads are rubbish these days. I have to say though, that I really like the Clark ads. Their ads are short and sweet but stick in your mind because of the humour in them. My particular favourite is the one where the girl is out for lunch and is sitting at a glass topped table. She is gazing down at her new Clarks shoes and notices that a bit of paper has got stuck to the sole. She reaches down to pull the bit of paper off and is so intent on doing this that she forgets that it is a glass table and promptly thumps her head off it. I also like the one where the father is video taping his daughter about to blow out her birthday candles when he looks down through the camera lens at his new clarks shoes. ...Bought car from Arnold Clark Leyland on 12 October 2007 - faults were identified on the car from an early stage and it took 5 months for them to even look at it - ignoring 5 months of communication from me. These faults were relatively minor (window seal / SRS Light fault / missing bumper clips) but the refused to fix them / and ignore dthe fact that they needed fixed for 5 months - When they did eventually take my car in they cracked my bumper in two places - and then tried to hide the damage from me. It is now 8 months on and car currently sits outside my house immobilised due to an intermittent alarm fault - Being Arnold Clark they have yet to forward my paperwork!!! Oh and it still has a cracked bumper! I cannot state strongly enough that you should think twice before giving these people your money - they just do not care... Read review

...My youngest child Ashley is 4 and I wanted him to have a pair of sandels for the summer so off we went to Clarks to see if we could find a pair. I have used Clarks for all of my three children although the older 2 now don't really want Clarks shoes as they are not as trendy as other shoes in other shops and to be honest I probably would not be able to afford it if they all wore Clarks. Ashley thought that it was great as he got to stand on the machine to see what size his feet where, once the sales assistant knew off she went to get sandels in his size. She brought out 4 pairs and they were all Clarks sandles and Ash did not think much to them, the colours were a bit drab browns, blacks and so on. By then had resigned my self to the fact that I would have to go the next larger town to get the sandel in the colour that he wanted... Read review

...Terri Clark is one of those artists that just gets better every time you listen to her music. This CD is all about her different styles from what I call pop country on "Thats me not loving you" to a real country song on "Cure for the common heartache". The fact that Terri Clark can cover such a range of styles shows what a talented artist and songwriter she is. All of the songs on this CD can evoke a different mood when you listen to them, but put them together and you just sit back and enjoy the show. My personal favourites are "Everytime I cry" and "Unsung hero", but they are all good tracks in their own right. Terri Clark has been bypassed by the CMA as far as awards go because I don't think she is commercial enough in terms of record sales for them, but the lady can sing and thats all that matters to a fan.
