...I am a huge Westlife fan, and was thrilled when I found out Coast to Coast was out!! Coast to Coast is Westlife’s newest and second album, and it’s fantastic! With eighteen songs on it anyone who liked their first album will love this. There are three of their past seven singles on it - My Love, Against All Odds (feat. Mariah Carey) and I Have A Dream - and their forthcoming one What Makes A Man, which are all brilliant. But my favourites are the lovely Puzzle of My Heart and Angel’s Wings. There’s much more variation on this album that there was on the last, including the almost Latino-sounding Soledad. The only things that disappointed me are the song Dreams Come True, which is very un-Westlifey, and the fact that Bryan, Mark and Shane sing lead almost all the time. Advantages: Brilliant tunes, Long Lasting Appeal.
Disadvantages: Some may be put off by another "BOY BAND" offering

...The album Coast to Coast is truly amazing!Westlife have come up trumps with this offering of musical wizardrey. Such tracks as "What makes a man" & "Against all Odds" are brilliant and some of the best I have heard in a long time. The album is made up of extremley addictive tunes and heart wrenching lyrics which really make you want to hold your loved one. I have listened to this album over and over again and I never get tired of it, infact, it seems to just get better and better! I would recommend this album to those who are already fans of Westlife but also to those who have never heard of them as this is a type of music nearly everyone will enjoy, and continue to enjoy for a long time to come! I take my hat off to WestLife as they have really out done themselves with this musical offering.... Read review

Advantages: Brilliant songs

...Westlifes album coast to coast shows another brilliant album from the lads.My favourite song My Love is tack 1 in the album and also has the single that was released What makes a man. There are many good tracks on this album each one deep and meaningful. The album is also a good value for money, as you get 19 tracks altogether. I know many people find Westlife boring and think all the tracks sound the same. I personally think that although all the songs are slow and meaningful they do have their own unique tune, unlike a lot of tunes around at the moment. The lads also have great and very talented voices, even the not so good lookings ones. Westlife could do with doing some more up beat tunes, ones that are a bit more boppy, however Westlife are wicked for the slow dance at the end of the night. Which is brilliant!... Read review

...Coast to coast is a brilliant second album by irish lads Westlife. Containing 18 tracks which are consistently good and includes the hits:- My love, what makes a man, i have a dream and against all odds (with Mariah Carey). This album will prove the lads to be a major force in the pop world throughout 2001 and shows they are not so green behind the ears as when they first set out. All the band have excellent voices and this album showcases this with a range of ballads and up tempo numbers. Personally i prefer the ballads but that's me. If you have enjoyed Westlife's previous releases then this should be in your cd collection. Westlife have proved that they are not just a flash in the pan boy band like others and this album just goes to show this.... Read review

...First there was Take That then Boyzone - the boy bands of the 90s. Y2K brings us a whole new level of boy band brilliance...none other than WESTLIFE! Their first album - Westlife - was a HUGE phenomenon.. could it be followed by an equally sucessful album? The answer lies in "Coast to Coast"; their second album. The album is jam-packed with tracks, 18 in total. Following tradition, the first few tracks are singles, including the number one hit "My Love" and the famous ABBA cover "I have a Dream". The tracks range from romantic love songs "You Make Me Feel" to more realistic tunes "Lonliness Knows Me By Name". The lyrics relate to real life experiences and are beautifully written. The songs are catchy and over all, the album promotes a "laid back" feel of music. The album has a bit of everything in it, and is a definite for the album... Read review
