...*****Background***** A couple of years ago an old boyfriend bought me a a bottle of COCO Mademoiselle Perfume as part of my christmas. I remember thinking at the time wow..... must have been expensive. You dont dare ask when its a gift do you. The reason why I was a bit shocked was we had only been together a couple of months. In fact that was a great christmas, I got spoilt rotten by him. Shame it didnt last ;-( Anyway I used to try and get into Boots and see how much it cost but he was always with me. Nightmare, I was just dead nosy thats all. When I saw the price at first I didnt know whether to frame it or wear it. As I had never had such an expensive perfume before. Advantages: Light and sweet smelling

...I was bought a bottle of Coco mademoiselle as a present having been told that I was too young to wear Coco. Being completely honest, I don't think I would buy it for myself. It's a nice scent, a bit sweet but not too much like choking on honey. It just isn't very interesting though. It's like a dummed down version of coco, as well as the "young" version. Having said that, I do wear it and I do like it, it's just not my favourite scent. I especially don't wear it if I know I'm going on a long car journey as it seems to exacerbate my car-sickness. But I'm sure that's just me. The bottle itself is beautiful. Very classic chanel... So if you're a Chanel fan, you'll probably like this, and if you're looking for something a bit special but not too heavy, this could be for you.... Read review

...I received this perfume as a present a few months ago. I'd already tried a couple of other Chanel fragrances, and to be honest, I hadn't been impressed. So, when I opened my present, although I was flattered to have been bought a reasonably expensive perfume, I didn't expect too much of the smell. How pleasantly surprised I was! The packaging was simple but elegant and the liquid contained inside the bottled was an attractive peachy colour. The fragrance is amazing! In the past I'd found Chanel fragrances a little heavy and not really suitable for my age group (early twenties), but Coco Mademoiselle is different, and it seems Chanel have finally bridged the gap between the young and their usual middle-aged market. Advantages: A fragrence which although long lasting does not kill your sense of smell

...As any fashion conscious or remotely media-aware person, will know, Coco Chanel is the epitome of high quality and class. However, the original market for Chanel perfumes has traditionaly been for the middle-aged/ mature lady with her string pearled necklace. Coco Chanel have redressed the niche of the younger market to whom they have been missing out with the launch of this new perfume- Mademoiselle. In a strikingly familiar basic yet classical aesthetics, the box of the perfume is subtle and is not garish like some other brands of perfume ( of which I shall not name). ...The bottomline is that Chanels Coco Mademoiselle is a wondeful scent which exudes pure class. It is generally more expensive than other perfumes and you won't often catch it on sale or in a deal. But its worth it, because its not a trendy, sickly sweet or seasonal scent. You will be paying more because its a big brand name but also because its a classic. A much lighter, fresher and younger scent than chanels no.5 and others it is just the right thing for a young, sexy and classy scent. An ideal signature scent it is appropriate for day and evening wear and is not limited to seasons. I received a sample size of the product in the 'goody bag' presented at a beauty event sponsored by a department store. My daughter and I attended just before Christmas 2007, and were delighted to each receive a selection of sample sizes of a wide variety of top end of the market products. Coco Mademoiselle body lotion was one of the freebies. ...COCO. Mademoiselle Chanel's affectionate nickname, was the obvious choice for perfume creator Jacque Polge's 1984 tribute to the legendary designer. Polge was insrired by the enduring spirit of Chanel, a woman who gleefully encouraged the linking of opposites. The fragrance is enriched with paradoxes, reflecting an exciting woman who is many things but never the same. Origional classic!! Heady and Sexy!! I have to say that the first bottle of COCO I aquired was as a gift from an ex! Who had chosen it as his ex used to wear it!! Once over the initial disgust of the reason for his purchase, I was delighted. It is the most beautiful perfume I have ever smelt, to this day!! Anyway, I excitedly began ripping open the paper to reveal a predominantly white package, (if you have ever seen Coco Chanel you will know that it is packaged in a brown box), I was initially a little bit disappointed that I hadn't got my Coco, however that soon changed when I took a closer look to discover that he had indeed purchased me a bottle of Coco Chanel, only it was a new Coco fragrance called Coco Mademoiselle. I was obviously delighted to have received such a lovely present but at the same time as it wasn't the same fragrance that I'd sampled I was slightly concerned that I wouldn't like it, to find out whether I did or not you'll have to read on! ...Everyone has what is their signature perfume, that perfume that you know is just them. Dior's Poison will always remind me of a dear friend who practically bathed in the stuff. CK Obsession will always be my little Sister and Chanel no 5 will always remind me of my Mum when I was a small child. For years Givenchy's Amarige was my perfume of choice it was my signature perfume. I flirted with numerous different perfumes over the years as my dressing table will show testament to this fact, but I always returned to the perfume that never let me down unlike others now cluttering up my dressing table. From Calvin Klein to Chanel via Estee Lauder and a dabble with Dior I always returned back to Amarige.Unfortunately my love affair with Amarige is now over I have finally found what is my perfume.
