...The Continental 2000 tire has drastically made an improvement in my cycling. I have just recently "re-became" a born again cycling enthusiast. I bought my 2002 Raliegh 400R road bike while I was suffering from achillies tendonitis just because my old bike was just that old and getting harder to pedal in its years. I rode the new bike on its stock tires for about 2 years when I finally gave in and bought the Continental 2000 series tire. OHHHH it made a visible difference in my cycling. As soon as I put the tires on myself I took the bike out for its first test ride on the new tires. I was not sure what to expect since I had been riding on 700x25 (tire size and width in MM) tires and this was now 700x23. With in the first 10 miles of the bike ride I had noticed that my average speed had increased by about 1.5 miles per hour... Read review

Advantages: lightweight great in mud
Disadvantages: less grip harsh ride

...The conti Cross Country tire comes in a couple of sizes the 1.5 & 2.0 widths. The 1.5 with Kevlar bead is something a bit different than a more normal tire. It is very light weight - just under 400 grams. Compare this to the more usual 550 - 650 grams and it is a saving of over a pound. This is rotating weight as well which doubly increases the benefit. The width is narrower than anything else on the market and gives an interesting ride. In mud the tire is fantastic as it is so narrow it cuts through and gets grip on the harder surface below. Many times you can keep riding without wheelspin when a broader tire is slipping all over. On thicker mud or grass though it is a bit worse as the narrowness causes the tire to dig in too much & drag the bike back. On downhills or single track there can be a scary lack of grip! ...off to get something to eat and didnt return until around 10pm. I was alone and stranded in a foreign airport and panicking badly. When my friend arrived to pick me up I was tired, exhausted and fast asleep on the airport floor, and he was very angry at the information he had been given. He complained about it later in the week and I was sent a $100 voucher by continental. On the return journey my luggage was lost for 5 days because of a switch of flights. Again it was ground staff in Cleveland that messed up and took the wrong bag tags off me. I tried to get help from Continental Customer Services in the Uk and was met with a brick wall. I eventually telephoned their helpline in the States and they tracked doown my bags in 5 minutes, 5 days after they orginally went missing. I complained about this to Continental in the Uk... ...Hi I recently stayed at the Days Inn Hotel at the Membury Services on the M4 near newbury. I was very tired and had been looking for somewhere to stay for about 3 hours. The room was very clean and comfortable there was point to connect Lap top to catch up on emails and a very comfortable bed. I had an early start so orderd the Continental Breakfst in my room for only £3.50. Great value and I could lie in bed and watch tely. Toileteries where proper dispensers instead of that cake of soap you get at the other brand. Staff were very helpful and polite. I am staying there again this week and have booked a meeting room for only £50 (cheapest in the area). Well worth a stay on business or pleasure... Read review

...a crew from atlanta flew in. Finally on the plane, the crew were extremely rude and unhelpful. A lady in front of us asked for a glass of water as she wasn't feeling well but was told she would have to wait until we had taken off because the crew had too much to do. The air conditioning then broke down and to top it off while that was being fixed we lost our slot and had to wait an hour and a half on the tar mac with in 90 degrees with no air conditioning and being denied water until my mother kicked up a fuss. The water was handed out with murmers from the crew about how they had already flown from atlanta and were tired and shouldn't be doing this flight. All that for a flight to New York under two hours long. Never again shall i travel continental and neither would the majority of people on the same plane who made it very clear they were... ...new ones. I noticed all the new Taurus' has Continental Touring Contact tires on them, so I called around to price them out. Unfortunately, the cost for them was more than my budget. So they offered me the (at Tires Plus)their other Continental Touring LX tire, which supposedly is made for them. I really didn't want it at first, but the price was good, and the man sold me on them as "Just as good as "Touring Contacts" I drove off, went to work, and things seemed fine, except that after the temperature dipped below 30 degrees, the Conti LX's became hard like steel. I felt like I was riding on the rims. Luckily, I called the Manager from Tires Plus, and found out that they have a 30 day ride guarantee. So after talking to him, we decided to go with the old Generals once again. After the installation, I did not get 1/4 mile form their shop... Read review

...Disney`s Hotel Cheyenne. The western themed low rise hotel set in a few acres of groung and within easy walking distance of the park. Cost : If you are looking for a cheap Disney hotel holiday then you will be very hard pushed to find it. This is the cheap alternative to your high class Disneyland Hotel. The price you will pay is for B&B only. You are looking at a hefty £100 pound per night before adding on tickets etc. But it`s a dream come true so pay out to live the dream. Rooms : The rooms are basic to say the least, ala travel lodge style again with a bit of western theming to boot. My room was pretty good although I heard some people say that their rooms looked tired, but I get the feeling they could`nt see past the idea that it is meant to look tired and worn. Disadvantages: Little time switching from one plane to another whilst traveling on two planes

...(at least back in England). Food and drink was just like before and the seats were just like before. Although having a 10 extra minutes wait at the start of our final plane journey (because a plane infront of us popped one of it's wheels) we still managed to arrive on Gatwik in time. Being exhausted and tired we all fell asleep in the car as my dad drived us back to Cambridge. Now in conclusion I think Continental Airlines is brilliant. Other people in their reviews have doubted Continental and they might be right, my 3 hour plane rides weren't brilliant but they were acceptable. I highly recommend Continental, they have great service and were always on time. Fly away with Continental!!!... Read review

Advantages: low cost trip to France
Disadvantages: Tiring journey. Not allowed to relax on the last part of the journey

...Last year I went on a tour from Scotland to Paris, organised by good old David Urquhart (Most Scots will have heard of his tours). Travel to Paris:- Picked up locally at 7.00 in the morning (Sunday), with an air-conditioned coach, we made our way to Dover, via M74 and M6 with several refreshment stops en-route, arriving at Dover around 6pm for the ferry sailing to Calais (this took about an hour). We then travelled to a local hotel for an overnight stay. Next morning after a continental breakfast in the hotel we procedded to Paris, arriving at our Hotel (Hotel France in VilleJuife, on the outskirts of Paris) at around 3 pm. Hotel:- Reasonably clean and fairly good quality, but being modernised, some rooms had air-conditioning, others had fridges in the rooms, ours had the fridge. ...Just got back from a lovely weekend in London and stayed at the the Washington Hotel in Mayfair. Do I reccommend this hotel - well it is good value. I booked direct from their website and it cost £89 plus VAT including full breakfast for two. This is for a 4 star hotel in the heart of London. The foyer is nice, clean, spacious and welcoming and check in was without any hassle. Our room was clean, but the decor in the room was tired. Some chips on the furniture, scuffs on the walls and skirting board and the bathroom needed a really deep clean. I'm also a bit of a satellite TV fand there was only Sky News, CNN and some Indian channels, plus the normal 5 terrestrial channels.
