Cone heads now cone eyes!

WEARING THE LENSES
Once the lens is in you do notice the colour change straight away, I so have to say this depends on which colour you have chosen and what your natural eye colour is, for those of us with light eyes you wont always get the best colour change (unless you go for brown) and cooper vision do a range that are more suitable for light coloured eyes. The contact lenses are very comfortable to wear as cooper vision lenses have a high water content allowing a lot of oxygen to pass through to eye-I must say these lenses are far more comfortable then some of the other coloured contact lenses on the market and they don’t move around too much in your eye when you blink. Sometimes depending on what colour you have chosen I do notice that some times they make your eyes appear cone shaped or just very unnatural which isn’t what I am...

Using Vision Express
Review of Vision Express (Shop) by
JenJen1982
Advantages: Staff are welcoming, glasses are quick to be made up, great with children
Disadvantages: wait time on arriving for an appointment can sometimes be lengthy
...I first started using the Vision Express store when I came to live in Newport. My eyes are not overly bad, just slightly long-sighted.
The main attraction to the store was how friendly the staff were to me instore. They let me see the optician ten minutes after I walked in to enquire about registering and I had an eye test there and then.
I was told I would need stronger lenses, so a member of staff showed me all the ranges and the different price scales they were shown at. There was no pressure to buy expensive frames or protected lenses.
They have also been wonderful with my daughter. I walk in every six weeks with her to get bigger frames as she is growing so quickly. The optician always makes time to see her and measure her, even when she is being un-cooperative. She is now coming up to a year old and has become familiar...

The Alice Cooper Show
Review of Alice Cooper by
snow_fairy
Advantages: Classic songs, great live shows + Alice remains a ledgend
Disadvantages: Special forces, and a few other dodgy songs
...Long before there was an Iron Maiden or a Marilyn Manson, rebellious kids around the world thrilled to the macabre antics of Alice Cooper. Simply put, this pioneering rocker wrote the book on shock-rock by combining the creepy imagery of classic horror movies with a thunderous, energetic hard rock sound. He also brought this sonic spectacle to life in visual form with a theatrical stage show that threw every kind of visceral horror imaginable at the audience. In the process, he created a new set of rules for how to scare people with rock and roll music.
Alice Cooper was born Vincent Damon Furnier, the son of a minister in Arizona, USA. He dreamed of being as famous as The Beatles and formed
a band called The Earwigs with some fellow students in the mid-1960’s. As time moved on, they grew from a garage band into a full-on psychedelic...

Mini cooper s John Cooper Works 200bhp
Review of BMW Mini Cooper by
Muddymotox
Advantages: Faster than the average mini
Disadvantages: tough ride
...From the outside the only visible changes are the 2 john cooper works badges and the larger twin exhasts at the back.
Inside there is no change atall apart from the fact that the speedo spins up a bit faster than usual.
at around £22000 new the Mini cooper s with the john cooper works kit is quite a large price to pay for a mini.
i got mine for £18000 1year old from a bmw dealer.
The 200bhp that the engine cranks out certianly makes a difference from the normal mini's as 100mph comes around in 3rd gear. it sticks to the road like a dead animal and is great fun with the traction control off.
The ride is a bit stiffer than normal and it seems to bottom out when going to quickly along bad roads.
No matter what gear you are in it will pull all the way around the rev counter and a bit more. Overtaking everything is fun...

Review Of Coopers Classicks
Review of Coopers Classics - Alice Cooper by
rocking
Advantages: Great Album
Disadvantages: Beginners Only, Don't Bother If You Already Own Trashes The World
...This CD in conjunction with the Beast Of Alice Cooper album is a cheap way of getting the very best of Alice Cooper. While Beast Of deals mainly with the period of 1970 to 1975 Classics encompasses material from both the 70's and 90's. The 80's was a pretty poor period production wise for Alice.
The CD contains the number 2 hit Poison from trash and the title track from the following album Hey Stoopid. Posion is a hard rock ballad and Hey Stoopid a great rock song with great power chord guitar solos.
Feed My Frankenstein is one of Alices weaker 90's numbers it is fun and mainly came to the publics attention through its inclusing in Waynes World.
Loves A Loaded Gun appears in Hey Stoopid and is really a cross over outtake form the Trash album, a great song with a story.
Stolen Prayer and It's Me have great melodies...

Alice Cooper
Review of Alice Cooper by
kthdsn
Advantages: Great music, dares to be different
Disadvantages: Some stuff may be a little shocking
...My sister is obsessed with Alice Cooper and having spent so much time at my house over the last year she has roped me in too and I have to admit to thinking he is pretty amazing. I couldn't decide which of his albums to tell you about so I figured why not just review the man himself.
A bit of background first. Alice was born Vincent Furnier in detroit in 1948. In the 60's he formed a band which was called "The earwigs". They changed their name to "The Spiders" and then "The Nazz". They then learned that there was another band of the same name and so they changed their name a final time and stuck with "Alice Cooper". Aparently there was no particular reason for this name, Vincent just happened to like it.
The band released several albums and were rather successful until they split in the early seventies and Vincent began his...

Mini Cooper S - an accurate and detailed review
Review of BMW Mini Cooper by
AddyT
Advantages: Fun to drive, sensibly fast, reasonable MPG, great handling, looks
Disadvantages: Cost of runflat tyres, space a little limited in the back
...I bought a 2003 Cooper S in gunmetal (grey) a couple of months ago and have so far been more than happy with my choice with no regrets.
As a new buy you need to be prepared to spend a lot to get the extras you want and I should think the first owner of my car spent well over 18k for the car, so that's around 4-5k in extras. Mine has the panoramic sunroof, cruise control, digital climate, full leather, steering wheel controls, chili pack including xenon headlights - these are the sorts of things you would expect a fairly expensive small hot hatch to have so with this in mind, buying used is blatantly the way to go, particularly with the new car market as it is.
When you step in the Mini you can't help but notice the attention to detail that BMW have paid with all of the interior. The huge dial grows on you the longer you own...

Wicked - Jilly Cooper's fantastic new novel!
Review of Wicked - Jilly Cooper by
Hypergrimes
Advantages: Jilly Cooper is back with another outstanding novel following the adventures of the people of Rutshire
Disadvantages: There are none!
...Being a huge fan of JC, I rushed out to buy this as soon as I knew it was out. It's another brilliant novel by Jilly Cooper, about a head teacher brought in to turn around a failing comprehensive school. She joins forces with a local public school and the fun starts there! Some of the characters from Jilly Cooper's previous novels make an appearance, such as the utterly handsome Rupert Campbell-Black and his adorable second wife, Taggie and we finally get to know their two adopted children, Bianca and Xavier who are both now at posh Bagley Hall; the awful Hermione Harefield makes a return, as does her son Cosmo, who is now a very machevillian 14 year old and seems to take after his late father, the evil conductor Roberto Rannaldini. There are also some great new characters and Jilly Cooper manages to intertwine them effortlessly...

Vision:Mmmm
Review of Creative ZEN VISION:M 30 GB by
il_cacciatore
Advantages: Screen, style & quality build
Disadvantages: Non removable battery
...The Creative Zen Vision:M is an MP3 player by Creative. It was released in August 2006. It is available in 30GB or 60GB options and is available in a range of colours: Black, white, pink, blue and green. I chose the white because I think it looks the best and all the rest of the cabling etc and back of the vision:m itself is white so thought it was worth paying £4 extra to get it in white. I also chose the smaller 30GB option as I don't believe I would be able to fill the larger one, though I might be proved wrong but is a lot more expensive anyway.
PACKAGING
The Zen Vision M comes in a box together with:
A protective slip
The charging adapter
USB multi-function cable
Head-phones
Instruction manual
Software CD
Customer Support Services slip
Creative family of products poster.
The box itself is stylish...
