Princess silver cotton candy
Review of Princess Candy floss Maker by
fizzybonbon
Advantages: Instant Candy Floss for all with a sweet tooth
Disadvantages: Quiet bulky to store, maybe be a one off whim
...For Christmas my children bought me a Princess Silver Cotton Candy (a candy floss maker). I'm sure however this was more for their benefit than mine.
CONTENTS:
Rotating disc
Bowl (approx 13" diameter)
Base
Measuring spoon
Candyfloss sticks
HOW TO USE:
Before you can start to use the Candy floss maker you have to assemble it, this is relatively easy and comes with full instructions. You have to place the bowl on top of the base which has suction cups as feet so as to keep the unit steady when working, then insert the rotating disc onto the axle and hey presto your ready to make candy floss
Once plugged into the wall you have to allow the machine to warm up for 5 minutes, once done you need to switch off the machine again whilst you add the sugar, normal granulated sugar can be used but you can also use coloured...

I WANT CANDY
Review of Candy GO 1682 by
supercityfan
Advantages: Cheap, Energy Efficient, Variety of Wash Cycles, Activa Wash Cycle, Quiet
Disadvantages: Some Programmes Seem to take forever
...your needs. By utilising this button you are able to reduce the maximum speed, and if you so desire you can cancel the spin cycle altogether. However, it should be noted that to prevent damage to the fabrics, it is not possible to increase the speed over that which is automatically suitable during the selection of the program.
In addition, the machine is fitted with a special electronic device which restricts the spin cycle should the load be unbalanced. This helps to reduce the noise and vibration in the machine and thus prolongs the life of the machine.
~~~~~ And what wash programs are available ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All in all there are 21 different wash programs available with the Candy GO1682 which should be more than enough for most people. These programs are as follows:
RESISTANT FABRICS
1. Cotton, Linen Whites...
As sweet as CANDY - AQ100
Review of Candy AQ100 by
morgjgriff
Advantages: 50c Fast Wash. Automatic Half Load. Price!
Disadvantages: None really, except it only holds 4.5kg (10LB) of washing.
...'d imagined it would be a simple process, buying a new washing machine. Machines in my price range (£200 or under) just weren't offering the criteria I wanted though. I'd almost given up hope then I came across the CANDY AQ100. I instantly fell in love with it! The sleek lines, large porthhole and firm buttons :-D I paid my money and my sexy new machine was delivered that afternoon.
The CANDY AQ100 has the following features:
Max Spin Speed: 1000rpm
Max Wash Load: 4.5kg (10LB)
Energy Efficiency: A
Wash Performance: A
Spin Performance: C
Automatic Half Load
The machine was very easy to install. Firstly you have to remove a "Bracing Bracket" from its rear. This is done by removing three bolts, there is a spanner supplied with the machine to remove these bolts. Secondly, you connect the supplied hose to your water supply. Most machines...
Sweet Dryer from Candy
Review of Candy CDC266 by
noosie
Advantages: Good price, easy to use and quiet!
Disadvantages: Location of fluff filter
...to heat up the room.
Maximum drying weight
Cottons Max 6kg – Synthetics 3Kg
Do not tumble dry - The following:- Woolens, silk, delicate fabrics, fabrics with metallic decoration, embroidered fabrics, garments with PVC or leather trimmings, training shoes and bulky items like sleeping bags.
Energy Saving - Candy offer energy saving advice when using this dryer such as never exceed the maximum weight as this uses more electricity, always clean the filter to aid efficiency and never put dripping wet items in the dryer.
Maintenance etc - The water container that collects the water/condensation and is concealed behind a kick plate pulls out of the bottom of the dryer and can be emptied easily, they recommend this is done after each use, however a light will come on to let you know when it is full, I however empty every 2-3 uses...
Elizabeth Arden Lipgloss
Review of Elizabeth Arden Shine Pops Lip Gloss Cotton Candy by
Sarahhhx
Advantages: Great Pout
Disadvantages: Sticks to hair
...glosses. What I do know is that there are lots of light coloured shades great for people who have dark lips like me to make the lips look lighter. The light colours are handy for subtle light complexions.
The lip-gloss is very shiny but quiet sticky and sometimes actually sticks to my hair in the wind, which is quiet annoying but I would still give it a high rating as it looks great.
I love the shade that I'm rating "Cotton Candy" as it's a lovely light peach shade which looks great with my light skin colour.
Pout Power ***** (5/5)
My lips look so plump with this gloss! And makes my lips look so big just like my other lip-gloss I've recently review from Clarins.
It creates a gorgeous pout; my lips look sensual when I wear this lip-gloss. I mainly wear this lip-gloss when I'm going out for a meal etc as I wont have problems...
To cotton or not to cotton, that is the question!
Review of Advice on cotton nappies by
RClure
Advantages: environmentally friendly
Disadvantages: takes a little while to get the hang of using them
...We were horrified to discover our weekly household rubbish double with the birth of our son. We are quite conscientious about recycling but the thought of a pile of pooey nappies hanging around our house (without a utility room) made me immediately dismiss the option of using cotton nappies.
*** THE FACTS ***
3.5.billion disposable nappies are used in Britain every year - that's 8 million nappies every day
A baby has approximately 4,500 nappy changes in 30 months
7 million trees are felled each year just to feed the production of disposables for the British market - that's 4.5 trees for each child
It takes a cup of crude oil to produce the plastic for 1 disposable nappy
Disposable nappies take between 200 and 500 years to decompose.
Every used disposable nappy thrown away will be in a landfill site somewhere near you...
Cotton by name and cotton by nature.
Review of Cotton Traders by
SueLiz
Advantages: Good quality clothes ,easy to buy.
Disadvantages: Returns policy could work out expensive.
...I’ve been using Cotton Traders for about three years now.
They are called Cotton Traders because it is owned by ex England rugby captains,
”Fran Cotton and Steve Smith”. I used to think that they only sold clothes made of cotton- doh!
“It was founded in 1987 when the two players began working from a small room next to Altrincham Railway station. They sold rugby shirts by mail order using adverts in Sunday papers. The business grew to 2million pound turnover in 2years.” ( quote from Cotton Traders website.)
See:- www.cottontraders.co.uk
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ways to buy.
Cotton Traders products are available through many different outlets. Their original method of selling , I think , was via a mail order catalogue. Not a great big hefty thing that you...

Cotton and Candy
Review of A Painted House - John Grisham by
anotherwiseguy
Advantages: Great description of a bygone American era
Disadvantages: Not the most fast-paced book in the world
...Finally - a Grisham book that is not about the law. What a relief. I have long been a fan of Grisham's writing style, yet have always thought it could be put to better use. In ‘A Painted House’ it certainly has. This is a very personal book, partly because it is semi-autobiographic and partly because, like many other successful American novels, it is told through the eyes of a child.
Luke Chandler lives with his parents and grandparents on a rural Arkansas cotton farm in the 1950s. He has never gone further than the local town: he was told the South won the Civil War and finds it hard to imagine places as far away as Korea, where his uncle Ricky is fighting. The book is largely a tale of Luke losing his innocence – leaving behind his childhood and eventually, his childhood home.
Throughout the book, although the narrative is never...

Caring & Classy Candis
Review of Candis Magazine by
jo68
Advantages: Quality writing & content, member benefits, large charitable donations
Disadvantages: Absolutely none
...Another day and another magazine review. Apologies for doing two in a row. I wouldn't normally, but I had a reply to my product proposal for Candis the other day, just as I was in the middle of my Bella offering. However, they are different magazines with different styles, so I hope it's not too boring !
I started reading Candis about 4 years ago. A very nice elderly lady knocked on our front door and sold an issue to us. I don't normally buy things from door to door salespeople, but this lady wasn't your typical 'rep'. She explained about the magazine and about the Club, and let me have a look at it. It only cost around £2 back then, and so I decided to try it out. I paid my money, and she said that she'd be back next month to see if I wanted to buy the next issue. After reading it, I did buy the next issue, and have been buying...
