RADISSON SAS EDINBURGH (Not Crowne Plaza)
Review of Crowne Plaza, Edinburgh by  newty1977

Advantages: Location, Location, Location!
Disadvantages: Can be expensive due to popularity

...Radisson SAS Hotel Edinburgh - 80 High Street, The Royal Mile, Edinburgh, EH1 1TH Rating = 4 star Radisson SAS took over the management of the property a few years ago from Inter-Continental Hotels, and the specific Crowne Plaza brand. So, just to clarify, the hotel used to be called the Crowne Plaza Hotel Edinburgh, but is now called the Radisson SAS Edinburgh ... two very different hotel groups, with very different brands and styles. Location, Location, Location! Location is a key factor in the success of a hotel and the Radisson SAS Edinburgh could not be better placed, standing slap bang in the middle of Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile, with Princess Street (famous for it's shopping) only 2-minutes away, Holyrood Palace only 2-minutes away, Edinburgh Castle only 3-minutes away, and the famous Grass Market only 4-minutes... EPSOM DERBY- a fun day out
Review of Epsom Derby Stakes / June (London) by  lbr102

Advantages: A really fun day out for everyone young and old
Disadvantages: The mess afterwards

...On the first week in June of this year, tens of thousands of people will make their way to Epsom town centre. The small town situated in the home county of Surrey plays host to one of the biggest and one of the most famous horse races in the UK- The Epsom Derby! The History The Epsom Derby is a horse race which was first ran in 1780. In 1779 The Earl of Derby, Edward Smith Stanley organised for him and some friends to race their three year old fillies across the Downs. This race was named after his estate and became known as the Oaks. Following the success of the Oaks, The Earl decided that it would be a good idea to create another race the following year, this one was called the Derby. This race was also a great success and both continue to run today. Tha race has not gone by without controversy. On June 4th 1913 at the famous... Read review

University of Derby
Review of Derby University by  freestone

Advantages: Not to far from anyones home.
Disadvantages: Some lecture can be 5-9pm

...I like many others used to give Derby uni a lot of stick for being an old poly and linked it with underacheivers who only went to uni for a 3 year doss. Q 'How come you came to Derby?' A 'I applied through clearing like everyone else' If this was the case it has certainly changed now. I came to Derby as a Mature (I'm only 24 though not an old wrinkly) student sept 2000, only due to the fact that I have bought a house in Derby and it would be too expensive to move. I am really impressed with Uni as a whole, although I'm a Maths student so I can't really comment on the other schools but they all seem really good. All the lecturers make an effort to get to know you and always have time for any problems you might have. The course itself is well structured and the modules are well thought out when put together... Read review

Derby County, Branko Strupar's team
Review of Derby County by  tsjolder

Advantages: good extra striker: ravanelli
Disadvantages: still maybe not enough quality

...was player of the year. You see that Branko won in Belgium everything he could win. After several Genk players were sold, also Branko wanted to leave the club, looking for a new adventure, but in the beginning of the season 1999/2000 Genk didn't let hom go. In december 1999 Branko Strupar finally got his transfer to Derby County. In the mean while Branko received the Belgian nationality. As the Croatian coach never selected him and he felt really at home in Belgium, Branko Strupar got the Belgian nationality in 1999. Almost immedeately Strupar was an international. Probably his best match ever he played in the friendly match against the Netherlands (5-5) in which he scored 2 wonderful goals. Last season Branko Strupar started very well and scored in every game. Unfortunately he got injured and hardly played a match last year. Now... Read review

Derby should not be overlooked!
Review of Derby County by  anndcfc

Advantages: Super stadium, super football
Disadvantages: Freezing in the middle of winter!

...My love of Derby County started back in the early 1970's. As I live in Derby, I decided to give the local football team. Well. that was it, from that moment on I was in love with Derby County Football Club. I now have a season ticket and go to as many away games as I can. Believe me, Derby are a different team this season. Craig Burley, although injured at the moment, is pivotal in our rise up the table. Bjørn Otto Bragstad, Youl Mawene and Danny Higinbotham will be great defenders for us, they just need to adjust or settle down to premiership playing. Kinkladze is a super hero already, his first full season in the Premiership will have the Derby crowd loving him even more than they do now. Up front Malcolm Christie, back from a nasty virus, will be a revelation this year and will hopefully get into the England... Read review

Premier Travel Inn - Derby (NW)
Review of Premier Travel Inn Derby - North West, Derby by  jedimasterlincoln

Advantages: Quiet location, friendly and welcoming
Disadvantages: Adapted disabled room furthest one from reception

...I have booked rooms for my parents here on 5 seperate occasions in the last few years, and have reccomended them to members of my wedding party who were attending my ceremony locally, so I know of plenty of satisfied customers with this particular establishment. The Travel Inn itself is located to the rear of a rather quaint Public House (The Mundy Arms) on one of the main arteriel routes between the Peak District, Derby, Nottingham, Lincolnshire (The A52). Despite this, you can't really tell as you are surrounded by open fields and STILL only 3 and a bit miles from Derby itself. There is ample car parking space, as the pub itself is never really busy. Each room has an allocated parking space outside the window and all rooms are on the ground floor as the complex runs around 2 sides of the pub car park (with the 3rd side being... Read review

Derbi senda DRD
Review of Derbi Senda R by  nico666

Advantages: Drives good easy to maintain
Disadvantages: Not power full enough

...I have now driven the derbi senda drd for 1½ years now I must say I have never been disappointed. Derbi senda is produced in spain, they make cross versions and street version I had the street version. I bought it new, and the first thing I did was to take the indicator off so the bike could drive 55 mph instead of the In standard version which is restricted to 30mph. Of cause this is illegal, but 30 mph is a bit boring in my opinion. The first 600 miles I wore the cylinder in so I didn't drive more than 30 mph which I think is important if you want a bike which should last long. This is not only for derbi but all kinds of engines!! Anyways the first 600 mph was a bit boring but if you don't do the motor will consume more oil than necessary and the piston on espically one of these can be damaged every easily I got a some friends which... Derby County – One team that’s losing the plot
Review of Derby County by  robsephton

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...Derby did fantastically well to come up from Division 1 and establish themselves in the premiership. A couple of seasons ago Derby even threatened to challenge for the title. Since then, it’s all gone a bit pear shaped for Derby. The old bald eagle Jim Smith (the premiership’s longest serving manager) is missing a pair of reliable strikers, some decent midfielders and the defence doesn’t even bear thinking about. I saw Derby at Anfield last season and they were a complete shambles. I’m not so sure that Derby will survive this season, they don’t inspire at all. Maybe Jim Smith should retire now before they finally start the inevitable downward spiral.... Read review

Derby...who Cares
Review of Derby County by  flashpointz

Advantages: one of two class players
Disadvantages: just a middle of the road club, going nowhere much

...Is it me, or does anybody really care how Derby County do this season? Under Jim Smith, the old Bald Eagle himself, they have established themselves as Premiership also rans. They may come up with the occasional upset win again the 'big boys' - usually at home, but they are also one of the sides that the promoted clubs would hope - no, EXPECT - to beat. Smith made some useful signings towards the tail of last season. Craig Burley is a proven international who could find a place is most Premier sides - he can play football, bites in the tackle, works hard and can score from midfield. Then there is the Georgian 'star' Kinkladze. He was outstanding at Man City in a struggling side. Moved to Ajax and it didn't work out. He hasn't looked the same player since he's been back, but if properly fit, motivated and harnessed he can... Read review
