D&G D&G D&G D&G D&G D&G all day long!!
Review of Dolce & Gabbana Feminine by
elephants69food_0
Advantages: Lovely smell that lasts all day
Disadvantages: boring bottle
...Now as others my have read, I really love my perfumes and have a total huge collection of them. This one, Dolce & Gabbana is definitely one of my all time favourites.
I was up visiting Ady's(my other half) parents in Lincolnshire one December and his mum took us to this place called Ingamels market. I was in heaven, living on the Isle of Wight, our idea of a market in half a dozen stools selling jumpers with dogs and horses on!!! But this was a super size, everything you could think of we sell market. I loved it, by my bank balance didn't!
There was this dodgy looking bloke selling boxed perfumes out of what appeared to be a suitcase. These were obviously knocked off goods but they were being sold 2 for £10! This particular perfume was amongst them and having the D&G sign on I thought it must be quite a nice smell. I couldn...

Delightful & Glamorous (D&G)
Review of Dolce & Gabbana Feminine by
leofluffy69
Advantages: lovely smell, faint and not too strong.
Disadvantages: Not to everyones taste, maybe the smell is a bit faint for some!
...is quite fast and smells rather strong. The smell does wear off after a few minutes. The scent is very feminine and slightly floral. When I first used it the smell was quite difficult to get used to at first I compared it to the smell of fabric softener and washing powder. It smelt similar to fresh clean clothes from the washing machine. After a few weeks I really fell in love with the perfume. The smell is faint but lasts a very long time. I used to be a huge fan of 'Flowers by Kenzo' and whilst people would comment on it's smell I never received as many comments as I do about D&G Feminine.
It is a very relaxed perfume and I would tend to wear this to work, interviews or generally during the day. I would not call it a 'going out' perfume as I like to wear something with a bit of a kick. D&G Feminine is the sort of perfume you can wear...

"MOTOPIMPED" by D&G......
Review of Motorola razr V3i Dolce & Gabbana limited edition mobile phone. by
Mayclair
Advantages: Style and technology all beautifully wrapped up in GOLD.
Disadvantages: I am very pleased to report...NONE....
...is a compartment, which contains:
Charger.
Battery.
USB cable.
A CD entitled Mobile Phone Tools version 4.0.
EMU stereo headset.
Transflash removable memory card and card reader.
(TransFlash 512 MB Memory card with SD Adaptor. The adaptor allows the TransFlash card to be inserted into devices that read a full size Secure Digital (SD) card.)
A D&G lariat with gold D&G initials.
Motomanual.
Quick start guide.
I also received a clear plastic outer skin, which clips over the phone to stop it getting scratched but I don't think this is part of the package. I think mine was just an extra from the seller.
The Phone
***************
I removed the phone from its box and, other than the colour and the D&G logo; it does appear to be exactly the same as my sons' Motorola Razr. However, after putting in the battery and turning on the phone I heard...

The limited edition D&G V3i
Review of Motorola razr V3i Dolce & Gabbana limited edition mobile phone. by
Giggles_1004
Advantages: Chic design, slim,
Disadvantages: short battery life,
...the option of adding and additional number to a contact. i.e their work number, home number and mobile. But once you have saved this, in your phone book when you send a text it just comes up with exactly the same names 3 times without you being able to disstinguish which number is which line.
It does come packaged in an extremely beautiful gold sliding box with its own D&G place mat and phone accessory....

D and G Feminine Whats that gorgeous smell
Review of Dolce & Gabbana Feminine by
lorrmid
Advantages: Smells great, smell lingers and not overpowering
Disadvantages: Quite expensive
.... Great, what better way to save money!! It is not a fragrance you get fed up of and it can be worn at any time - whether for work, going shopping or a night on the town.
It comes in a very expensive looking silver box with black writing telling you it is D & G (Dolce & Gabbana) Feminine Eau De Toilette Natural Spray and advising you of the quantity contained within. On the back of the box it tells you that the ingredients are SD Alcohol, fragrance and water. It also advises that it is for External Use only (for any of us in any doubt). All the information on the back is also conveyed in Italian and it states at the bottom that the product is made in Italy. The bottle inside is clear with an expensive- looking silver top. The bottle just states the name and brand again in black lettering identical to the box. The packaging is very...

The Best Book of this Series
Review of The Flowering Shrub Expert - D. G. Hessayon by
queen_rain
Advantages: User-friendly layout
Disadvantages: Index difficult to read
...I own almost all 'Expert' books by Dr D.G. Hessayon. They're handy, practical, crammed with solid information and advice.
All of them are useful for gardeners from beginner to professional.
However, 'The Flowering Shrub Expert' is by far the best.
It's sensible layout makes it so user-friendly that it should serve as a model for all gardening books.
Practically all flowering shrubs suitable for British gardens are included, with their advantages, disadvantages, and quirks. They are arranged alphabetically according to their latin names, with the common name also included in each headline.
The typical page shows two plant entries, each covering a vertical half page, and framed in a box.
Under the plant name (Latin plus common) comes a detailed coloureddrawing of a plant detail, usually the tip of a branch with flowers...

The One for Men by D&G
Review of Dolce & Gabbana The One for Men by
psirac
Advantages: Great smell
Disadvantages: Not quite enough staying power
...The One for Men by Dolce & Gabbana is the new D&G fragrance to complement the existing womens version of "The One".
The advertising campaign is fronted by Matthew McConaughey and the images fit well with the style of the product.
The fragrance is a mixture of bergamot, coriander and basil, followed by cardamom (I had to look on wikipedia to find out what cardamom is - apparently a member of the ginger family), ginger itself and neroli (another quick trip to wikipedia - similar to bergamot). There's also a base of cedar, ambergris and tobacco, creating an overall "woody-oriental" fragrance.
The One for Men comes in 30ml, 50ml or 100ml bottles (priced at around £25, £35 and £45 respectively, although it's possible to find them for less if you shop around). As with all perfumes and aftershaves, the price per ml is much cheaper...

Cough up time at KaDeWe
Review of KaDeWe by
nickjj78
Advantages: Everything you need in one place
Disadvantages: Try not to get lost!
...available throughout the store.
Best things to buy?
Make sure that you check out the home wares department as here you will find an amazing array of gifts for your home such as fantastic crockery and glasses that are miles cheaper tan the equivalent stores at home.
If you are a clothes horse then here you will find an amazing variety of clothes for men and women. What I love about German stores is that they stock many items together so, for example if you want a white shirt then most of the white shirts will be in one place allowing you to easily compare the shirts on offer! The store also stocks a range of very affordable clothing as well as offering the higher end couture clothing ranges such as Boss, Armani, Hilfiger, D&G, Burberry for women and Armani, Boss, CK and Versace for men (as well as a few hundred other designers and items...

A nice Christmas present for a hobby gardener
Review of The Armchair Book of the Garden - D.G. Hessayon by
queen_rain
Advantages: easy to read
Disadvantages: lacks depth
...I enjoyed browsing through this book. The chapters are broken down into features of one or two pages each, so it's just perfect to read 'in bits' while enjoying a cup of coffee, or while taking a break from digging.
I particularly liked the stories of the plant hunters, and those of famous garden designers. They intrigued me enough to want to find out more about them.
I was less impressed by the features on wildlife. They're thin on information and I didn't learn anything new.
The overall structure of the book - split into chapters and those into 1 or 2 page features - is good. But the order in which the features are arranged within the chapters confused me at times.
I think this book would make a lovely present for a hobby gardener for Christmas. At this time of the year, there isn't so much practical work to be done...

Especially good if you're a thicko
Review of The Flower Expert - D.G. Hessayon by
Salgirl
Advantages: Easy to understand
Disadvantages: not high in the exciting copy stakes
...Care
(buying, planting, hoeing and weeding, cutting, watering, dead-heading, mulching, cutting back, renovating, staking, winter care and feeding).
8. Hobby Plants
(Chrysanthemum - Pelargonium)
9. Flower growers dictionary
10. Plant Troubles
11. Plant Index
The layout of the information is clear, written in recognisable English and explains itself along side illustrations and understandable diagrams.
The actual information on the flowers is set out alphabetically by their formal name with a photographs of the plant, plus a close up drawing of the actual flower heads. Then you have a short paragraph with descriptions and handy information about that particular flower, a list of varities showing colours and names, the best site and soil for the plant to flourish in, the best times to plant them, followed by how...
