...I have just received a package in the post this morning and I'm really excited because it's the Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue perfume I ordered just 2 days ago after reading a review on Ciao! THE PACKAGING The box is a light blue colour, quite appropriately! It appears to have a suede-like texture and is very plain with silver writing. The outer cellophane is sealed with a round silver sticker with Dolce & Gabanna printed across it in blue writing the same shade as the box. Look reassuringly expensive so far! On opening the cellophane, the suede-feel box is gorgeous and very different. I like it. The bottle inside is lovely. To my surprise it fills the majority of the interior of the box, rather than being largely packaging, like some other brands. ...of D&G Light Blue - you spray it first thing in the morning* -And the smell of the chocolate itself makes your mouth water....then you put all the ingredients together...the aromas of the vanilla being released etc... *you put your coat on and leave the house* -then you put it in the oven and everytime you go in to the kitchen it smells Divine!!!! as it's baking *wearing it at work/uni - taking off your coat and people saying "Oh you smell great!" -then you bring it out of the oven and it smells DELICIOUS, obviously you eat some (I'm not advising you to eat this perfume may I add) *the day continues with compliments, the smell is at it's peak as it's had a good few hours to settle on your skin* -and that evening you go into the kitchen and you see the amazing cakes left over and they smell so yummy, you are very satisfied... ...that Poison was definitely a pulling perfume……..Never believe a drunken mate! ~~Pulling fragrances…..~~ One for the boys here! Should you want to pull I suggest you don’t bathe in Lynx or Brut or Joop - ok some woman love Joop but it’s a divided camp and you’d hate to get it wrong wouldn’t you? So should you wish to pull oops get to know someone a bit better then you can’t go wrong with Acqua Di Gio, Eternity for Men, Issey Miake and CK Truth For men. Subtley boys is the key no chucking on the whole bottle and thinking you’ve cracked it! At the beginning of this I said I was the woman who bought perfume and not shoes or handbags unfortunately I have developed an unhealthy obsession with Radley bags -better go buy the bottle of D&G’s Light Blue I’m after…….... ...Dolce and Gabbana light blue is a mixture of citrus and apple aroma which creates the most refreshing perfume that i personally have ever used. Previous to smelling this perfume as a tester in Boots one saturday i was never a perfume wearing girl, as i dont like overpowering scents that you can smell for miles when you walk past someone or vice versa. For me this scent was different it was refreshing and a pleasant citrusy? smell that did not get overpowering when sprayed onto your neck or wrist. It comes as a eau de toilette and even though it is not an eau de parfum i think its pleasant smell lasts just as long and makes you and your clothes smell gorgeous. ...! I didn't actually buy this perfume - my friend Eva did. I couldn't ask her for the price either, as she got her mum to order it, as her mum owns a chemist shop! I think in Semi-Chem and Savers it's a fairly reasonable price, around £15 for a decent sized bottle. I put it on most mornings, two squirts on my wrists and two on my neck, and this lasts for about 4-5 hours. That's not too bad! ~*~ Overall ~*~ Overall I reccommend this scent, as it's a really nice smell, light enough for everyday wear, and not too costly. ...to smell like a tart’s boudoir). I’ve tried Light Blue on the chaps that I work with. They gave my wrist a good sniff and told me that it was “very nice!” and one of them said (after being told that it was called Light Blue) that it did smell of the colour light blue. Now I’ve never thought about how colours smell but I think he is right – ocean, seabreeze, bluebells – all blue? So in all the perfume gets a good thumbs up. It is available in a 50ml edt at a RRP of £34, but you can get it for £24.99 if you have a search on the web – slightly more that most perfumes, but if you are looking for something different it is worth a try. ...I first got into this perfume about 4 years ago, and it has stayed a favourite of mine ever since. I was looking for a new smell, and being a perfume label-addict I went to Boots to find out any recommendations. The woman at the counter pointed me in the direction of this. I liked the smell as soon as it was sprayed. It is a sort of clean, fresh, slightly light musky smell, but I think smelly a bit fresh air and cottony as well! The assistant suggested letting the smell settle on my skin and seeing how it smelt after it had faded a bit. Even a few hours later the smell still lingered and many people have commented on the nice smell hours after spraying. You can buy this in 25ml, 50ml and 100ml. ...I was lucky enough to receive the new Nirvana boxset of ‘With the Lights Out’, as a birthday present from my parents this year. Imagine my sheer joy, unwrapping what I suspected was this most treasured thing, in the right shape and size, I was like an animal haha.
