Disadvantages: some bad mixing and lots of boring songs on it

...Dance Nation Five is a 2CD album compilation - the first CD mixed by Pete Tong and the second by Boy George. Some of the songs have repetitive beats but there are some good songs like "Da Hool - Meet Her at the Love Parade" and one or two songs that mark the roots of today's garage like "De'Lacy - Hideaway" (everyone loves that one). The first CD has good mixing and has the original "Loveshy" by Kristine Blond which has been re-released this year. The second CD has more lyrical songs and is more toward house music and I prefer the first CD myself. Unless you are really in to the dance scene you'd probably like a newer compilation like DN 6 better.... Read review

...I now own the 4 Cds from the Ministry of Sound's Trance Nation series, and I still rate the second one as the best! It is well put together by System-F, Ferry Corsten, and all the 'right' tunes come out in a classic order. Although most of the tunes are dated now, if you love trance then its well worth a listen to. The Trance Nation series are a cut above the numerous other trance cd compilations that get spun out with a real commercial feel to them. Most people I have spoken to on a dance chatboard agree that Trance Nation 2 is a topper! Definately one for your CD collection. By the way the other 3 cds in the series are good too!... Read review

Advantages: cheaper than flying/trains at short notice

...So after my happy experience travelling the other weekend I'm off on my travels again, this time risking a foray in to the world which my parents inhabit. So as Bolton has no airport, Lydd has no train station but both have bus stops it seems logical that I would consider getting the coach to Bolton. This is as far as I know the only national coach service in the UK (although in Scotland it is run under the City Link name) and is a member of the european Eurolines coach network. I booked my travel using the nationalexpress.com website the site is mildly confusing if you don't want to use one of the their funfare or travel from one of their more popular stops. ...This is one of many available dance mat games. Basically, the idea is that music plays on screen, and arrows show up on screen corresponding to the foot you should use in order to 'dance' to the song. It takes a while to get used to, but can be very addictive. The main motivation for me buying this dance mat was the fact that you could use your own CDs. Most dance mats have a limited number of songs, and therefore it can quickly become quite repetitive and boring. I originally bought a standard dance mat, after playing a few others on various occassions. However, I soon became quite sick of the songs vailable. So I decided to purchase dance factory. To be honest, I don't think I really expected it to be as good as it was advertised. i assumed the arrows wouldn't fit with the music or something, as I didn't see how it could work... Read review
