Sadly I do not have this on C D and am too lazy to look upstairs to see if we still own the L P. But trawling through the music listings I notice this category and now as I sit here the song the tune and words to white bird are going through my head, so let me tell you all I know and remember about it’s a beautiful day. ...Green Day is a hugely successful band hailing from Oakland, California. Their latest album, American Idiot has sold well over 15 million copies and has propelled the band to an even higher level of fame than any other band in the punk rock genre (in modern times anyway). ****History**** -A Start In 1986 a young Billie Joe Armstrong (Guitar/Vocals) got a guitar for christmas of his mother, he still plays with this guitar to this very day! Infact if you ever see Green Day live you're likely to see it at some stage, it's sky blue and has 'B J' scrawled on the side. Billie Joe learned to play the guitar from books and by jamming with local musicians. By 1987 he had hooked up with Michael Prichard (soon to be known as Mike Dirnt - Bassist/Backing Vocals). ...My friend and I stayed at the Days Inn in Niagara for two nights in May at the start of our tour round Eastern Canada. We’d booked this as part of our Globespan holiday so I don’t know how efficient the booking process was. The hotel was three star and we certainly didn’t pay over the odds for our stay, although I don’t know exactly how much we paid. Arrival We arrived at the Days Inn at around 3am Canada time, or 8am according to our body clocks! We breathed a sigh of relief as our bus finally pulled up outside the hotel (our flight had been delayed quite a bit so neither of us was in the best of form by this stage!). I’d heard great things about the friendliness of the Canadian race from friends who had been to Canada before so was expecting a nice warm welcome from the hotel staff – you’d expect those in the hospitality... ...I am 13 year old and first heard Green Day 2 years ago, the band rock… A little about the band…! There are 3 members Billie Joe Armstrong (Singer) (HOTTIE) Tre cool (Drums) Mike Dirnt (Guitarist) Green Day Weren't big when they first formed they were quite a quiet band until they let a single out known as American Idiot. Then they hit it off. More and more people listen to them every day. A Great Band To Mosh to. Dookie….. There are 14 songs on this album. . 1) Burnout- this is an amazing way to start this CD. You can tell that Billie Joe was a teenager when he wrote this song, the words make such a connection to a teenager and the name - burnout- you would think a teenager wrote the song. ...Call me a food fascist, but I'm always fairly sceptical of those people who claim how hard it is to get their - government recommended, of course - minimum 5-a-day portions of fruit and vegetables. Just to outline why, here's my none-too-expensive, none-too-time-consuming (and hopefully none-too-sanctimonious), typical 5 on my daily menu, based on yesterday's consumption: - BREAKFAST - Glass orange juice (1) MID-MORNING SNACK - Banana (2) LUNCH - Sandwiches, including 1 tomato (3) and an apple for afters (4) DINNER - Chicken portion with broccoli (5) and sweetcorn (6). Now, I reckon the approximate cost of the fruit and veg side of the above was 80p, so that's not bad value for my 'ultra-healthy' day...oh, and that's with different 'colours' of fruit and veg, which also seems to be the latest instruction from...
