...Debenhams like all stores, are now geared up for christmas. Every year those special items that are not available other than at christmas are now on display. I personaly like Debenhams, the products look good and are not as pricey as M&S although the quality is as good. But come January a lot of people return to Debenhams and most of the other shops and stores returning their unwanted christmas gifts, with varying excuses for a refund, and I am sure that the staff know all the excuses. It is however quite conveinient that Debenhams will exchange or refund these items without quibble as do most stores, but it's nice to know that Debenhams is a store that such a lot of people trust, and feel comfortable with.... Advantages: Brilliant departments

...The thing i like about Debenhams is the fact that I have no need to trek up and down the high street. This is particularly ideal in winter when the weather is even less pleasant than usual and you want to avoid the wind, rain, sleet and snow. Debenhams is basically a department store so is split into (unsurprisingly) departments. Although some of the sections have a smaller selection of clothes, there are many departments that you won't be able to find on the high street. Debenhams offers several special designer ranges which offer original and fashionable everyday wear as well as party gowns and coats. There is something for everyone at Debenhams and a massive range or products are available. ...I am writing about the new debenhams store in Galway, Ireland. In this case the Debenhams restaurant. Exorbitant prices would be an understatement. On Friday last (27/07/2007), i was unfortunate enough to visit the restaurant with a friend and my son to have some lunch. Imagine my surprise when i was asked for €5.85 for a handful of potato salad and coleslaw to go along with my main course. The man beside me in the queue actually commented on the price also. The salads in Debenhams restaurants are apparently weighed. Needless to say i didnt pay the money. Then to add insult to injury we were told that we could have a free satchet of ketchup with every portion of chips but after that we must pay 25 cents each. Do the management of Debenhams really think they are going to get away with this indefinitely??? The people of Galway... Read review

...I found debenhams.com to be very limited in the stock that it had on offer.The range that it did show was very inviting and persuaded me to buy.The service of the delivery was fast and i felt very secure giving my details on line to purchase goods.Debenhams.com merchandise ranges from babies to adults.This service would be great for people who are unable to get about and go shoping around big department stores.The site is very easy to follow and allows you to see the items up close.Overall this is a very helpful and a good shopping site but debenhams needs to extend the range it has to offer... Disadvantages: Sometimes difficult to find certain products as it is so large.

...The best aspect of Debenhams is the variety of stores within the building. Many department stores have lost the element of many departments but there is a wide range of clothing, household, health and beauty, and many other, sections within Debenhams. I especially like the inclusion of shops such as Warehouse and Morgan which are not available as individual shops in my nearest town. The Clinique counters are also highly recommendable as the assistants provide you with friendly one-to-one help and advice on skincare and make-up. Their promotion at the moment includes free skin advice and a selction of small skincare products suited to your skin-type, and is well worth a visit during your lunchbreak. Good service, great quality and immense variety, both of products and labels, make this truly a 'department' store worth visiting.... Read review

...Debenhams happily hired me for my first proper job as a 6th (last year in England) year school pupil this Christmas as a Gift Advisor with a 12hr/week contract; my primary task being to advise the public and be of bubbly assistance. It was really quite good job - it wasn't overly stressful and the people I worked with were brilliant. I asked a fellow employee what their opinion of Debenhams was and she responded "Never can you work in a place and have 500 different friends". It says it all. The canteen was reasonably sized with an array of cheap food and drink on offer. A microwave and toaster were at hand along with a fridge and TV for staff to indulge in during UNPAID breaks, a really quite stingy Debenhams approach. ...Wedding lists are one of the easiest and most convienient ways to organise a list which may need to be distributed around the country. a year ago my now husband and i decided that we would have a wedding list, and after much deliberation we chose Debenhams. There were many good reasons why we chose Debenhams over other stores, such as Marks and Spencers, House of Fraser, Habitat etc. 1)Debenhams stores are all over the country - very useful if you have guests spread over the UK. 2)Debenhams have selections of all household items you will need when setting up home - bedding, kitchen, crockery, electrical, bathroom and special occassion, they also have concessions such as Edinburgh crystal, Dorma bedding and with designers such as Jasper Conran you can't go wrong. 3) Debenhams have large stores so you will always be able to find... ...Debenhams is indeed one of favourite shopping stores with its constant sales and discount vouchers available. Recently, my friend bought a perfume and was given two fiver discount vouchers. Well, I got the opportunity to use one of the vouchers to buy myself a perfume too. Smart that Debenhams allow only one voucher against a sale transaction. To my opinion, things in Debenham is worth buying only on sale. I was shocked to learn that a shirt my friend bought at 25 quid a week ago was on 30%discount the following week. But the lucky thing for him is that his size has sold out, so no disappointment. It shows that items in Debenham really get sold out fast. If you are not the same common size, such as M, well lucky you. Most sales items are either Large or Extra Large...So, my advice is wait for a sale if you are big... Read review

...A recent trip to Debenham has really surprised me! The store is now full of vibrant and funky clothing. I used to think it was a middle aged store - now the concessions and 'designers' range has really transformed the Debenhams shopping experience. Firstly there is Morgan - with really cool club wear. Theres also Priciples, Wallis, Dorthory Perkins and so on. The designers at Debenhams range includes people like John Rocha and Jasper Conran - which are all reasonably priced offerings and of excellent quality. There is generally a cafe serving decent food. The home-ware section is excellent and is full of brightly coloured and contemporary designs. They have some really good quality linens and some real novel gift ideas. I went in Debenhams and spent 2 hours in the store without realising!!! It really offers a wide range... Read review

...Debenhams is one of the popular Department stores in the UK. Most towns/cities will probably have one if you look around . They sell just about anything you could want to buy for the home yourself or your Family. Quite a lot of their floor space is taken up by concessions . Wedgwood , Royal Doulton , Arthur Price , Coloroll & Dorma can all be found on the Home wares section as well as Debenhams own products which include Designers at Debenhams these include Rocha John Rocha and Jasper Conran. In the Ladies wear section you can find such a great choice for females of all ages. Top Shop, Kookai , Jane Norman, Miss Selfridge, Country Casuals, Windsmoor, Maine, Pineapple, Jasper Conran, Rocha John Rocha, Anne Brooks Wallis are just a few of the many different departments within the store, Which provide a vast array of different types...
