Dell Inspiron 8200 Notebook
Review of Dell Inspiron Range by
bristol_steve
Advantages: Performance; value for money with basic configuration.
Disadvantages: DELL!
...-PCI slot is, in my opinion, one of the best features of the Inspiron 8200 – and its inclusion was the factor which clinched the sale. I was assured by Dell that I could buy a wireless (then 802.11b card) for this slot at any time should I find in future I needed wireless connectivity. Dell proved, unfortunately, to be bare-faced liars! A year later I find I need wireless. Dell USA offered an 802.11b/g card for this machine for under 50$ (bargain!) but refused to ship to the UK – insisting I deal with Dell UK instead. Dell UK conveniently forgot their promise that I would be able to upgrade – and informed me that they don’t supply the part – that I’d need to buy a new laptop or a fragile PCMCIA card (with sticky-out aerial) if I required wireless support. I was furious… in fact, so furious that I found a company doing grey imports via Belgium...

Dell Inspiron 1525
Review of Dell Inspiron 1525 by

Advantages: Adequate features, upgrade options available
Disadvantages: traditional graphics card
...Dell Inspiron 1525
Let again my target of review is popular 15.4" series laptop and I am trying to write review on Dell laptop second time.
Dell has upgraded its earlier model inspiron 1520 to inspiron 1525, and the new upgraded model has excellent latest feature as well.
Generally Dell deals with its customer online and they sell laptop online but also considering retail chain so that they can easily reach to every general people also.
Due to online sell, they provide good range of feature for customization, and we can choose good features and technology for our requirements.
Now I am going to discuss some good features of Inspiron 1525 and option of customization as well.
Processor
Processor is a mind of any laptop or Personal computer, so that my first target of discuss will always remain the processor of any computer...

Dell Inspiron 6000 - A Laptop I Recommend!
Review of Dell Inspiron 6000 (N04606) by
taran36
Advantages: Looks Great, Works Fine, Good After Service
Disadvantages: Battery Length and Gets very Hot!
...I brought the Dell Inspiron 6000 about 9 months ago as I needed a laptop for university. I wanted something powerful, nice and reliable and also at a decent price. So I opted for a Dell. Great after sales service, good offers and a very good price! Leaving me no reason to complain or buy any other laptop. And to be honest over the last 9 months it hasn't failed to impress.
I brought it for £545 and recieved a free Dell Printer and Free delivery worth £50. I think the price was very competitive and i failed to find a laptop as good with a similar spec for a similar price. Dell at the time seeemed the best value for money and it still does!
The design is very elegant and professional looking and comes in a silver colour. The 15.4" inch screen is great; it really stands out from all the standard laptops. It comes with built...

Dell Inspiron 1150 - Value for money?
Review of Dell Inspiron 1150 2.6Ghz by
adzemaster
Advantages: Very user friendly, cost effective and smart looking.
Disadvantages: Quite heavy, short battery life and lack of ports at rear.
...This review is mainly for people who are hoping to buy a new laptop and more specifically this one. However, please feel free to read this if you are considering changing your current laptop.
If you are looking to use a laptop for home entertainment or a lot of video and photo editing, I would recommend buying a laptop with more memory, processor speed and hard drive space and one built up to the job. However, if you intend to use a laptop for small scale photo editing and word processing this could be the thing for you. It is possible to pay for extra RAM and a larger hard drive capacity from Dell when ordering online.
The look and feel of this laptop is better than most. It's not the slimmest laptop on the market but again its better than most. The Dell Inspiron 1150 has a good feel to it and is very comfortable to use. The only...

Dell Inspiron 9300
Review of Dell Inspiron 9300 by
Hemeter
Advantages: Top spec is FAST!!! and gorgeous widescreen panel -a real head turner!
Disadvantages: Its no lightweight
...Anybody interested in computers will have heard of Dell. They advertise heavily in the Press and on TV. So why buy a big brand PC which you cant actually get your hands on in a shop? A year ago I wouldn't have dreamt of buying a Dell any thing - let alone a laptop. My experience of laptops was that they were incredibly slow compared to desktops and meanly specified - small hard drives, pathetic processors and hopeless graphics. Plus those little screens that faded away from view if you moved your head slightly!
Then I came across a magazine review of the Inspiron 9300 and I was amazed that it seemed to be a true desktop replacement that could actually do the same things as my main PC - including playing demanding graphics intensive games. I did the usual research in the forums and review sights and the results were consitently...

DELL INSPIRON 9300 - SITS ON MY LAP LOVELY
Review of Dell Inspiron 9300 (N04936) by
kismet
Advantages: portable, dvd player, easy to use
Disadvantages: very heavy
...After our home computer decided to die, we decided to purchase a laptop computer. We decided this for several reasons. Our office is very cold and is upstairs away from the tv! and also we wanted a portable dvd player to take on our holidays. So we decided to bite the bullet and buy a laptop.
We wanted a decent sized screen, fast processing and a good sized memory. We need a machine for business use and personal use also.
We decided to go for Dell, as in the office where I work, we have always used Dell and they are very reliable.
Dell sell their computers direct to the public on their website. They also sell refurbished models slightly cheaper. They have a variety of deals that change weekly. They advertise extensively in the media and are a well known established company.

Advantages: light weiht, trendy model
Disadvantages: Heavy and bulky
...When I originally looked at the Dell Inspiron last March I was plesed, yet not blown away. The model was a solid, original product at a competitive price. However Dell's upgrade to that model, the Inspiron 6400, is most definitely aimed at ther entertianment line of the market.

Dell Inspiron 8100 quality at a price
Review of Dell Inspiron Range by
mikeuk
Advantages: Performance, quality, brand name
Disadvantages: Price, portability, superseded quickly
...I purchased my Dell Notebook in September 2001, so have been using it nearly a year. It is very good with above average performance for a price. Came with an Pentium 866vt MHZ processor - fitted with 256Mb RAM, 20GB drive, 3 1/2" floppy, and combo CD rewriter.
These specs have now been superseded as at August 2002. You'll find plenty of technical reviews in the PC magazines and so I'll concentrate on how I find the Inspiron range as a user and in particular the 8100 which I bought.
Well it is a quality product in no uncertain terms and despite its label "note book", these days they're no far bahind desktop PCs performjance wise, albeit at a higher price.
Keyboard is small but OK to use, bit tricky if you've large fingers or have dexterity problems. You can plug in a full size keyboard easily if at home.
Display is a 15...

Review of Dell Inspiron 6400 - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
Nutcais
Advantages: Speedy, Reliable, Great Support, Smart
Disadvantages: Bit Bulky, amount of junk you have to uninstall when you first get it
...I got my Inspiron 6400 laptop about 5 months ago, I brought it as I was tired of sitting at my desk working (when working at home). I've always trusted dell and recommend them to people that want to buy a computer.
I toddled off to dell.co.uk and browsed through the site. I wanted something that was a bit beefy, but didn't cost the earth and at the end of it I settled for the Inspiron 6400 that dell had a special offer on.
I went through the customising part of the order process (and is it just me or do they never come out the same price as they advertise?) I ordered, paid (god bless my flexible friend!) and waited. 4 days later I had a brand spanking new laptop waiting for me.
I fired it up when I got home and the first thing that struck me was the screen. It's | | |
