It was also available in Boots, Superdrug, Semi Chem and many other independant chemists, as is the new updated range. As the brand has such a long and traditional heritage in my mind it is associated with luxury and quality so I am always happy to try out their products and I wasn't disappointed. Cussons Imperial Leather Revitalising Shower Gel comes in lovely bright blue bottle with a flip top lid. Great for me as I tend to stand the bottles on the side of the bath. Plus there is no risk of leakage as there is when you hang a bottle from the shower but, if you don't have a handy shelf or flat surface to stand it on it could be a problem. The gel itself is also a bright blue with a great fresh smell reminiscent of the seaside, the beach and the sea air itself. This is great for me as I can enjoy my shower pretending I am somewhere else, but not so good when you crash back down to earth and remember you are off... Read review

...Imperial Leather is a brand name that can often be found in my Bathroom. It is a name that I have grown up with and over the years come to trust. I remember the bars of ivory coloured Imperial Leather soap that my mother used to buy occasionally as a treat and even now if I spot it on offer I sometimes still buy it for myself. Until my early teens I actually thought that this brand was called Imperial Lather, as opposed to Leather and presumed that this was something to do with the nice lather that the soap formed on the skin. When I discovered it was actually leather I was somewhat perplexed and still believe that Imperial Lather would be a much more suitable name. We always had to have two rooms as we are a family of five and the maximum persons per room being four. The discount made all the difference. ...Imperial Leather do a wide range of bath and shower products. This is one of my favourite items. This is the one that I buy most often, as its "unisex" which means that my husband can use it as well, and not complain that he smells like a girl (as he did after using my Avon Celebre shower gel. Serves him right!). Imperial Leather Energising Shower Gel and Shampoo is a nice bright blue colour and comes in a plastic bottle of 250ml for £1.48 from all good stores. The bottle can be recycled. Blue is also my favourite colour so it matches my bathroom.! Another good reason for buying it is that its quite often on offer at Tescos - Buy one get one free. That is the reason that I first bought this product as it was so cheap. Once I realised how good it was I bought it all the time, but mainly stock up when its on offer... Read review

...I've not noticed this shower gel before until my partner came home with one. As far as i know there are only two sizes and two flavours/smells (what would you call it?) available. They come in sizes 250ml or 500ml bottles, one smells girly which is pink called moisture shower and the other one as you can guess smells manly which of course is blue known as active shower. My 500ml pink bottle is absolutly refreshing any time of the day. Use it in the morning and it leaves you feeling fresh, use it in the evening after a hard stressful day (if you have kids you will know what i mean) it leaves you feeling sleepy and very relaxed (does to me anyway) most of the time i end up like a prune as it's so good i don't want to come out (i love my showers). ...is my opinion of the Imperial Leather "Everyday Freshness" ~*~ THE PACKAGING ~*~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The last lot of Imperial Leather that I bought was indeed a bargain - 4 bars of soap for the price of 3, I at first didn't even notice the Everyday Freshness bit. The four bars came in a thin plastic wrapper that, although protecting the product, also looked good. There wasn't any cheap advertising gimmicks. Just the Cussons name followed by Imperial Leather Everyday Freshness with sea minerals. Even the colours used red, white and blue were not overpowering. Within the outer wrapping nests the 4 bars of soap and my first surprise. ...). It also seems kind on skin. You don't need to use much but if you're used to using Foamburst you will probably, like me, feel that it isn't spreading out very well. The gel comes out in blobs, if you don't rub it in quickly the shower will wash your blob down the plug hole before youve even had chance to wash with it. Another plus point for Foamburst. **Hairy Good?** It says on the bottle that this gel is suitable for hair and body. I cannot imagine much worse than hair smelling of toilet cleaner so I definitely did not wash my hair with it. (Thoughts of Bart and Lisa shuddering as they go to stay with Aunties Patty and Selma spring to mind)! **Gelly Smelly** Well OK so this Refreshing isn't for me.
