...Recorded in 1993, the live audio recording of No Cure for Cancer was an extremely successful comedy release, and this DVD contains the Showtime special featuring that set. As Denis Leary is very much an 'adult' comic, the DVD carries an 18 certificate due to the strength of language and drug references. If this type of thing offends you, please don't read on, I'll put some quotes at the end, and even though I'll disguise the fruitier words with ***, I'm sure you'll still guess. ...You may have seen Denis Leary on a short clips shown on MTV during the 90s. This video is caustic to say the least, well for 1993 when it was released. It is one of those videos I have watched over and over gain and can remember most of the dialogue. Very politically uncorrect with frank references to drugs and ways to abuse over the counter medicines in the 70s, 80s and 90s - very funny! Told in a non stop motormouth, chain smoking, intense dialogue you could almost be scared of him. But he is a very, very funny man. -- Quotes -- Denis on the 70s - "There we were in the middle of a sexual revolution wearing clothes that guaranteed we wouldn't get laid." This is a book for individuals who are seriously interested in their self-development and who want to work in depth. On returning to the book I paid more attention to the authorship. I discovered that the first version was published in Belgium in 1999 under the title “7 Lessen in Emotionele Intelligentie” by Patrick Merlevede and Rudy Vandamme. It was then translated into English, reworked and expanded by Patrick Merlevede and Denis Bridoux. I had already noticed some odd choices of words in places, a symptom of the effects of the translation. ...is a vegetarian cafe in Cork, Ireland. The author of this book, Denis Cotter is the owner said cafe. A quote from the Guardian describes the cafe thus: "Here is a restaurant which treats food with wit, knowledge, spirit and enjoyment...it just happens to be vegetarian". The same could be said of Paradiso Seasons. The cover of the book reflects its contents- it's a gorgeous green cover that perfectly coveys the simplicity of the concept and the freshness of both the idea of the book, and the ingredients Denis Cotter uses. The book opens with an introduction, written by the author, where he explains the concept behind the book- to present recipes that are appropriate for each season, to ensure the produce you are eating is fresh and healthy. ...Sorry this is the cd version only: So Denis Leary, you may have your opinions on him, you may never have heard of him, you may think he's an act stealing pillock, you may think he's a comedic genious. I'm not going to get into it and say anything about his act, or that of Bill Hicks, I will, for once stick solely to the subject at hand. No cure for cancer opens with the cult song "Asshole", something many may think Leary is, but a catchy track all the same, lots of swearing lots of anti-pc lyrics, but not a great deal else to it than "I'm an asshole, look at me laughing at everyone who's less fortunate". The track does basically introduce you to Leary easily enough, if you find the song funny you'll like the album. ...pleased Sharon greatly. (Nice to see that even theirs can get eaten, too!) Atop the waterfall is a newish feature; a life-size bronze stag by Ben Panting (also responsible for a 10’ - and in his case, very much larger than life – statue of Denis Law at the Stretford End of Old Trafford). Although striking and well executed I’m not convinced by it as I think it’s out of place here. The most wonderful feature of the quarry garden I thought, was its capacity to absorb all sound except birdsong. Although there were people all about, they were seldom heard and often hidden amongst the shrubs; the natural bowl with the surrounding windbreaks means even wind noise is kept to a minimum. It is surprisingly tranquil for a tourist attraction. From the quarry we entered the secret garden (again, from the wrong way) and found a bog garden, full... Read review

...i do not recommend anyone to go here. yes the place houses a monument which is important for the history of french nationalism, but it is in a horribel part of town. the monument comes at the end of the boulevard saint-denis which to the rest of us is where by day all the trendy clothes shops are and by night ll the prodtitutes hang otu. it is an interesting area, and perhpas one that deserves to be seen to give a balanced view of paris, but it is less than pleasant. furhtermore the monument itself is plagued by mangy pigeons. there are so many other things in paris which are deserving of your attention - you can safely leave this one be....
