...I always remember my Mum wearing this perfume when I was little, and I always used to sneak a bit when I was getting ready for school and such like. I love this smell, it reminds me of my Mum ( I know that sounds a bit sad!) and I saw some whilst in Suerdrug and decided to buy it for myself. I love it, I wear it everyday - going to work, going shopping etc. I don't generally wear it when I'm going out, I prefer Jean Paul Gaultier for that because Dune doesn't seem t ast for very long, and I find myself re-applying halfway through the day. However, the bottle is only small and it easily slips in my handbag. The smell is beautiful so I don't mind adding a touch more when I pop to the loos at work. ...--- CHRISTIAN DIOR EAU SAUVAGE.--- Eau Sauvage Eau de Toilette comes in a rather nice bottle. It has swirly ridges all around the glass. To the middle it has a silver band with the Eau Sauvage written in black writing, along with the maker Christian Dior, Paris. To the reverse you have the weight of 50 ml and parfums Christian Dior Paris. Made in France. The lid is silver and mottled in effect, which is also on the silver band around the centre of the bottle. This is a good quality bottle, as you would expect from a top fashion house such as Christian Dior. Very distinctive, and it is a nice bottle to keep once the after shave has run out. ...I have long been a fan of all perfumes Christain Dior, but confess to only receiving them as presents and gifts from abroad. I always find it a luxury to buy perfume for myself, and my hubbie doesn't always get the hint (bottles left by the kettle, in his briefcase, on the passenger chair of his car, all occuring around Christmas time!) My mother bought me a bottle on a trip from France. I sprayed it on with wild abandon and found that the scent just lasts for ever. My advice would be to economise. It has great staying power, so you don't need too much, and your clothes seem to attract the smell. My favourite time to wear Dune is in the Winter. It just seems to smell better to me then. It lingers on your coat and scarf, and when bundling up against the elements, the warm, spicy fragrance reminds me of long hot summers... Read review

...I first came across Miss Cherie Dior in one of my glossy magazines over Christmas last year. The perfume was being advertised over a two page spread with a small sachet tester in the corner. If I'm honest I have never been a real fan of Christian Dior perfumes and always found them too strong however curiosity gave way and I decided to tear the sachet open and have a whiff! No sooner had I tore the sachet open I was hit by a strong fruity sweet smell. I liked it. The advertisement claimed Miss Dior Cherie was inspired by Dior's Couture designer John Galliano. The perfume contains notes of Green Tangerine, Strawberry Leaves, Violet, Pink Jasmine, Wild Strawberry and sweet tones of Popcorn. The base tones are Patchouli Crystalline Musk. ...Melange, is a spice grown only on the desert terrain of Arrakis, a hot, barren planet, known to it's inhabitants as Dune. It is a harsh, unforgiving place to live, with vicious, giant sandworms living under the sand, that guard the precious spice, and no water at all. Melange has special properties, allowing pilots to see into the future, helping them with their space travel. Without the spice, they would not be able to travel. The spice also prolongs the life of those that use it, and is highly addictive. Duke Leto is given the planet Arrakis to look after and control, he is a gentle and kind man, with many good qualities, considering the harsh world they live in. ...This book is the first in the trilogy "Prelude to Dune", a prequel series to the original Dune Series by Frank Herbert. Written by his son Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson. It takes the readers back to a generation before the events of the original series, when Leto was young and Arrakis was still ruled by Harkonnens. A lot of the origins of the characters in the original series are explained, such as Duncan Idaho (of course I won't actually tell you what happens). The storyline is action filled and the book is on the whole very easy to read. Herbert and Anderson are very talented writers and describe the different settings and characters very well. This is in fact a very good book by itself. Where it fails is trying to be just like the original series of Dune. The authors have even done the occasional quote just like in Dune... Read review
