Advantages: Convenient for seeing Disney attractions, affordable, extended park hours just for Disney resort guests
Disadvantages: No ghosts, parking lot kind of far from rooms, those evil little lanyard pins

...When the St. Augustine leg of our Florida trip ended, Russell and I went straight to Kissimmee and checked in at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. The All-Star resorts are the budget lodgings Disney World offers its visitors, but gives their guests good value for their money. For people going to Orlando to see the Disney attractions, I recommend staying at any one of the Disney resorts for that portion of their visit. The perks that come with staying "on campus" outweigh what appears to be outrageous room rates. For anyone who is trying to keep expenses down on their visit, this resort is the way to go. Advantages: Loads of Tips & Information
Disadvantages: A lot of Info to digest

...I have been taking holidays in Orlando, Florida with my family for years now. I cant get enough of the place but always find our 2 or 3 break packed full of activities. WIshing we had discovered this book on our first visit, we regularly dip into this book for information or to find out about new places to visit. So why do I like this book in particular? Well it is crammed full of information specifically on Orlando and the Walt Disney World area, not the whole of Florida which a lot of guides do and where a lot of the information is of no use to you. Released every single year to keep you totally up to date, this book starts with an introduction. Advantages: Wonderful, majestic hotel
Disadvantages: Not cheap and oh so very, very pink

...at Christmas when it is filled with a 6 story high albeit fake Christmas tree. Check in: Travel from Orlando International Airport takes about 30 minutes and check in is usually very fast and efficient. As this is Disney's most luxurious resort, waiting to check in is something that most guests do not like to do and Disney do their best to make sure that you don't have to! I have stayed here once and when we had checked in we were transported with our luggage to our hotel room via a motorised buggy where our porter gave us a quick guide to the hotel which is very useful and a wonderful way to start your holiday! You can get to the hotel via private taxi or organised coach; public transport around Orlando is virtually non-existent! A taxi can be good value if there are four guests but for only 1 or 2 then a coach can make more economic... Read review

...Well I might upset the apple cart here but from someone who has just had their first trip to Disney Orlando I was disappointed! Our family of four, two adults and children aged 9 and 7 spent the first 5 nights of our holiday at this hotel to appreciate the Disney magic. Yes the hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff are amazingly friendly but we did not feel the magic. We felt we could have been staying anywhere.
