...It's every kid's fantasy to take a trip to Disney World and every parent's fantasy to be able to take them there. I will say from the start that Disney definately isn't for everyone - cynics of the Disney culture and it's almost sickly sweet way of making your hand dig deeper in your pocket will not be converted. In fact, if you do not go with the attitude of taking Disney at face value or the pleasure you will get from seeing your children's faces light up then it is not worth going at all. However If, like me, you are a big kid at heart and have enjoyed all things Disney you have encountered before then be prepared to be amazed. There are four main theme parks in the Disney World complex, plus two water parks, Downtown Disney, the 'Wide World of Sports' and various hotels. I have spent many happy holidays in and around Walt DisneyWorld (WDW) in Florida. My first visit was back in 1980 and this year will mark my twenty fifth return. During that time I have seen, done and worn most of the T-shirts and have also explored many of the bits that one-time visitors just don't have the time to see and would not think to ask about. Advantages: Great theme parks, hotels and weather
Disadvantages: 9 hour flight and almost too much to do!!

...Walt Disney World in Florida is the largest of any of the Disney Parks in the world and covers over 46 square miles!! It consists of: 4 major theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney MGM Studios and and the new Animal Kingdom) 3 water parks Over 15 hotels and 1 camp site Dining, leisure and shopping activities. It's such a big place that it would be impossible for me to tell you everything about it, but I'll give a brief background and choose some of my favourite things! Getting there; There are tons of flights to get from the UK to Florida and you can either fly into Orlando International airport (30 minutes away) or Sanford (1 hour away). Advantages: Property on site. Park your car and let Disney do the driving.

...I opened up the travel section, of the local paper last autumn and couldn't believe my eyes. A quarter page advertisement for Walt Disney World. It stated "Florida residents enjoy a neighbourly rate this fall. Value resorts from $49 per night. Call your Disney Travel Planner at 407-939-1305." At the bottom it had the 'small fine print'. I showed it to my husband, and then phoned the number. A really nice young lady answered all my questions. Len and I had a choice to go to either the 'All-Star Music Resort', or the 'All-Star Sports Resort'. I love music and dancing so it was a really easy choice for me. She took my booking over the telephone, gave me a reservation number. Told me the full total including taxes, and asked for a credit card for the deposit of 1 nights accommodation. You may want to stay down on the 192 Kissimmee and Again you Will find a variety of Attractions; Hotels, Shops and restaurants, An area of many flee markets This area of Orlando is much more spread out, you will need a car! Hotels tend to be a little more affordable in the Kissimmee area Visit the Old Town shopping complex and buy yourself an original Bottle of Coca cola, or some rare nuggets, and close by are the Pirates Dinner festival! Advantages: Brilliant parks, something for everyone, magical

...that even with one week in Disney that we could have spent a lot more time there. And with the water parks you don't have to be constantly walking around parks so if you plan to go to Florida for a fortnight I'd recommend just staying for a fortnight in Disney rather than a week there and a week elsewhere. If we went again we know we'd definitely do that. With so much to do in Disney though be careful you don't forget about other attractions in Florida such as Universal Studios, Sea World, Kennedy Space Centre, Busch Gardens and many, many more. If you're a roller coaster fan it's a must that you visit Busch Gardens, the rides there were truly brilliant - some of the best rides in the world are at Busch Gardens, Tampa Bay. ...Disney Land Florida is obvisly the best action packed holiday in the world it has superb parks and stunning food and also stunning hotels with stunning pools. In America there are many parks some include: Magic Kingdom Epcot Animal Kingdom Blizzard Beach And Many More. I will describe these parks later on in my review. Also In Florida there is downtown Disney which is great because there are lots of shops, restaurants. Also there is a place called Disney Quest where there is food and lots and lots of games where you can play, but if you want you can splash some money out you can by a card which you have tokens which then entitles you to play even more games! With this card when you finish a game you get tokens, depending on how well you did, after you cash the tokens in for prizes. Magic Kingdom is great... Read review

...We have just returned from a 2 and a half week adventure in Florida and, whilst there is lots to see and do there, no trip to Florida would be complete without visiting the No.1 vacation destination in the world……'DisneyWorld'. DisneyWorld covers an awesome 47 square miles and they are expanding all the time. There are 4 Theme Parks, 3 Water Parks, numerous Golf courses, 3 main Shopping, dining and entertainment areas, the relatively new World of Sports complex (which hosts a variety of sporting events throughout the year) and a total of 18 Disney and non Disney hotels and resorts. ...DisneyWorld Florida is the most magical place on this earth. There's no two ways about it. Right from the moment you arrive at the gates, Disney music blasts from colourful flowers making up the shape of Mickey Mouse. You tingle all over with the sheer excitement of what is through those grands gates (past the queues, of course)... As you step out on to Main Street USA, The Magic Castle greets you along with music, colour and maybe a random Disney Character. there are people dressed up selling balloons or behind quaint little carts selling the most delicious pop corn you'll ever taste. The smell of that popcorn is all around the park. Mmmmmm. Unforgettable. You don't even notice the price (quite expensive but it's worth it!). ...I had always dreamed of going to America and in particular Disney believe it or not I was 30 before I got there. I almost thought I would never get there. As the date of the holiday got nearer I began to think that maybe I was a little too old to be going, but deep down I couldn't wait to get there.
