...Whenever I am thirsty my first choice for a drink is five alive. It comes in three flavours. Citrus, blackcurrant mix, and tropical. My favourite is tropical. You can buy them individually or in variety packs of 9 - 3 of each flavour. There is also a 9 pack variety of citrus flavour too. I used to buy them for my children to have in their lunch boxes. But have carried on the tradition for myslef, as my children have now left school. The 9 packs cost around £2.89. I'm not sure what each individual one costs. At the college I work in they are 50p each. The cartons themselves are all brightly colored according to their flavours. Each one is 250ml, and a straw is attached for you to use. Advantages: A pretty appetising colour with added vitamin and zinc
Disadvantages: Very watery and sweet taste

...I must have been affected by the heat of one of the few seasonal days this summer when doing my online shopping because I suddenly felt the need to include a cold, refreshing, liquid standby or two in my store cupboard. A recent resolve to avoid alcohol, apart from as a weekend treat, took me to an unfamiliar aisle, the soft drinks section, and there I noticed 'Five Alive'. I remembered enjoying the citrus version of this years ago but here was a variety I had not seen before, 'Berry Blast'. Being quite partial to all things of a "summer fruits" persuasion, I thought this was one not to miss. Unfortunately it was to prove as much of a disappointment as the weather! ...Normally I only go for orange juice as I don't like the taste of lemon, grapefruit or lime. However if you mix them all together, you get Five Alive which tastes great! I first tried five alive at my Grans when i was a kid. She always brought normal orange juice for me, but this once she got Citrus Five Alive. I was very dubious at first. I was a fussy kid and didn't like trying anything new. However i was supprised. since then i only had it a few times until recently. I was in the supermarket, deciding on a drink that i fancied and for a change i picked it up. Supprised that i still liked the taste, i an now quite loyal to the brand. Advantages: The truth is lifted on the appalling conditions and treatment of women
Disadvantages: Harrowing, horrific story - Heartbreaking

.... The answer is there, and although this could never be a happy ever-after fairy tale this book needed to be written. I have barely touched on the full contents of 'Burned Alive' only given you a small insight into the remarkable women Souad is, and the reason why her book was published. The story has highlighted the brutal practices that continue in such countries; including awful statistics i.e. more than five thousand women each year are killed by 'honour' killings, and these are only those known about…imagine how many more women and children are being killed for such small things. This is a story of undeniable courage, and one I urge you to read. Final quote - "I have never met any other burned women. As far as I know, none of them have survived." (When I finally got round to it!) Before I bought the 'Evolution - The Hits' album, actually before I'd evan heard of it, I had only ever heard of 'You Spin Me Round' ('Like A Record') (the 1985 version) and the reason I found out about this collection (like the Hits CD) was in 2003 when Pete Burns decided to re-release the song with a new leas of life. ...say! So if you have a large family its not going to break the bank to keep them all up on the vitamins and fruits! Im a little supprised that it contains 7% calories though... thats 132 in total. Coke only contains 42 calories which came as a shock to me. Per serving of this drink you receive a whopping 12mg of Vitamin C, which is pretty much 50% of your daily reccomendations sorted out. So although there is a lot of sugar in there, you have made it up to yourself from the vitamins! Inside the drink itself it contains: Water Apple Blackcurrant Grape Rasberry Strawberry Sugar So in my oppinion its all good for you, exept they do add zinc gluconate, but thats pretty much just to stop it all from splitting and becoming a nastey mess. ...Wandering around the aisles in Asda at the weekend I came to the juice section. We normally have a four pack of Asda own orange juice, but there weren’t any on Sunday so the closest thing we could find was a four pack of Five Alive Citrus. This actually was a bit cheaper than orange juice, at only £2.15 for four 1-litre cartons as opposed to £2.95 for 4 1-litre cartons of Asda own orange juice. Juice is juice most of the time so we weren’t too bothered about trying this. The only difference in this citrus version is that instead of it just being orange juice, you get orange, lemon, grapefruit, tangerine and lime. The packaging of the cartons is quite bright and appealing to the eye. It’s basically a green carton smothered in slices of all the above mentioned fruit. ...If you are anything like me then before you buy a book you read a few pages, if I want to read on then I buy the book. This one is unusual in that it starts at the end. The end of Eddie’s life that is who while alive you discover feels like it is waste of time. After the death of his wife and the futility of his relationship with his father it is almost a comfort to believe that he will be sent to a better place. In an attempt to save a child’s life Eddie is transported to another place and he feels no pain, as if he is a child again. He is confused and dazed and wants to know the answer to one question, “Did I save the child’s life?” He encounters his first person and learns his first lesson about how one persons actions largely affects others lives. ...My daughter cant seem to figure out why she has no dangly bits like my son does. Every night at bath time she keeps on saying " My winkles fell off " Why had tired to explain to her that she is a girl and they have different bits to boys but she's only 3 and does not quite understand yet. So we thought maybe we should find her 2 new dolls last Christmas one a boy and another a girl. We found a girl baby born we could not get the boy one anywhere. So looking through the Argos website we came across Baby alive boy and thought this would be prefect. Sadly though she keeps on going around and telling people her winkle has fell off.
