spains good fortune
Review of Spain vs Italy by  gunnerdav14

Advantages: excellent game of football
Disadvantages: could of been better

...I found this game an enthralling prospect, both spain and italy where at the top of there game before coming to the ernst staduim in a hot vienna evening. I was looking forward to an absoultly amazing game of football between two passianate and colourful nations. But what we got was a cat and mouse kind of game, both teams being very careful in there play, spain had the better of the ninty minutes, they played with flair with there hearts, italy were quite frankly negative in there play, quite defensive tactics, after the ninty minutes spain deserved to win, they created more chances and looked more comftable on the ball, even so you can nether write the italians off, So it came down to extra time, and still no chances, so we had an agonisong penalty shootout, and italy missed two penalties and up stepped cecs fabregas to slot home... a few good players
Review of Spain by  steveymacca

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...the spanish do have a few good players who are very creative when playing at their best, such as raul, luis enriquue, hierro, guardiola and sergi. their keeper, vitor baia is getting on a bit now and they may want to start looking for a replacement. but he seems to be a safe bet in between the sticks at the moment as he has a lot of experience behind him and knows what to do in threatening moments such as one on ones with strikers and wheter to come or stay etc. spain deffently are a team to watch as they have quite a few young players.... Quarters onwards
Review of Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland: Which country do you think will win and why. by  shanediablo

Advantages: Football
Disadvantages: No England

...QUARTER FINAL STAGE ---------------------------------- So here we are at the business end of the tournament and where, we are led to believe, the teams with the stronger mental strength will shine through and prove their worth to lift the trophy. The Quarter Matches are as follows: MATCH 1 - Portugal v Germany MATCH 2 - Croatia v Turkey MATCH 3 - Holland v Russia MATCH 4 - Spain v Italy In the semi finals, the winner of match 1 will play the winner of match 2 and likewise, the winner of match 3 will play the winner of match 4. The winners of these matches will contest the Euro 2008 final. PORTUGAL V GERMANY ---------------------------------- Biggest match of the tournament so far involving the pre-tournament favourites Germany and England's tormentors, Portugal. Where I see the key difference is this tie occuring is in terms... Read review

Top tennis at La manga Club
Review of General: Spain by  Tennis.Tim

Advantages: hot weater and great cvoaches
Disadvantages: lots of people in high seasin

...This half term i went to spain for the second time to a place called La manga Club. If you love to play tennis nad golf then this is the place for you. I played tennis at one of the best facillities in europe and the coaching was superb. The academy runs for five days and is is usually 2 hours a day or 3 if you want to have video analysis. It is a great way to improve your game and each day a seperate topic is addressesd. The coaches are excellenta nd there is usally 4 to 7 people in a group and one or maybe two coaches. It is a hot place for tennis lovers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Read review

Villa shines through the rain
Review of Spain vs Russia by  petery36

Advantages: Villa hat-rick, both teams scored
Disadvantages: None

...I said the Holland V Italy game was the best, but know i may be changing my mind. This game was surrounded by much hype as people asked themselves could this Spain squad finally live up to the expectations that others hadn't. The answer was a definite YES. Casillas was captain for Spain in this game. Villa did however stand out in this game which took place under the terrible weather in the Tivoli Neu stadium, Austria. There were some surprises before the game even started, Fabregas wasn't starting for Spain, nor was Xabi Alonso. This meant that there was a midfield which had no Premiership players in, there team was still a very strong one. PS. First game where both teams have scored. The game didn't have a very fast start. Russia's Shemshov had the first chance of the game, he did however put ball a long way wide. His shot was from... Read review

A truly lovely spot
Review of Piazza di Spagna by  angburger

Advantages: Everything is close by
Disadvantages: The crowds can be a bit much

...Piazza di Spagna is one of the most popular tourist spots of Rome; but it is also one of the most beautiful. The thing that sticks in my memory is the long winding staircase that leads down the square which promptly leads to numerous narrow little streets that are home to some of the most exclusive boutiques in Rome, for clothes as well as souvenirs. You'll find most of shop assistants speak English, but they do like it if you try a bit of Italian. Even though most people except the Japanese venture into stores like Fendi and Versace, it really is pleasant to spend an hour wandering through the strees, or just sitting on the steps. Also, everything in Rome is close by so it takes only a minute to get to the museum of Modern Art or the beautiful Borghese Parks - a real treat!... Read review

decent showing
Review of Yugoslavia by  steveymacca

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...yugoslavia didnt realy perform that badly in euro 2000. they showed great spirit to get back into the game against slovenia after being 3-0 down although they should never have been in that situation in the first place. they were also unlucky to lose 4-3 to spain in one of the best matches of the tournament, with spain fighting back well, yugoslavia are not the team for you if you have trouble pronouncing the letter v as nearly all their players names end in it. i do not know most of their players-the only one i know is milosevic.still...... So close, and Milosovic!
Review of Yugoslavia by  fiisch

Advantages: Good team, good spirit
Disadvantages: No real big names

...Yugoslavia are a fantastic team. They really did perform in Euro 2000 missing out in an impressive win over Spain in injury time, the final score being an interesting 4-3. They have some class players and judging from Euro 2000, they are amazing to watch, you only have to look at the Slovenia game to illustrate that fact. Before the interesting and what turned out to be a disappointing competition for England, Group D look certain, Norway and Spain would qualify but Norway actually came last! Slovenia came agonisingly close to qualifying but I was amazed to see that Yugoslavia had done it, and they had almost beaten Spain in the group! They showed great determination and great spirit in all of their matches and although they do not have any world-class players with the exception of Savo Milosovic, they can take on and beat winning... A winter break in Corralejo
Review of Fuerteventura (Spain) by  ZoltanLouis

Advantages: Warmer than the British winter, Gibson's restaurant, Mirak health spa
Disadvantages: Cold winds, cold swimming pools

...A winter break to any of the Canary Islands is generally considered a safe bet for a bit of sunshine to drive the winter chills, but Fuerteventura is not immune to cold spells and heavy rain bursts. The weather on this barren island is still far better than back home in England during the winter months, water sports enthusiasts take full advantage of the strong winds. Corralejo is one of the biggest resorts the island. The word ‘biggest’ should not be confused with overdeveloped because in truth Corralejo is nowhere near as busy as destinations on mainland Spain or some over the more lively resorts on neighbouring islands. There is a reasonable variety of night life and places to eat without ever really being spoiled for choice. There are quite a number of bars catering for the British market, and for those who want a home from home... Read review

Little England
Review of Costa Dorada (Spain) by  kacey

Advantages: The sun
Disadvantages: see op

...In June of last year, I went to Spain with my partner. For the both of us it cost us, for a week £385. This was for travel, food and bed. Not bad you say, but keep on reading. We took a coach from London to Dover, then when on the boat to France. We then got back on the coach. All together it took 24 hours. It wasn't so bad going, cause we were really excited. It was the first time I had been to Spain and never knew what to expect. When we got to our hotel, we were suposed to be meet by a rep to tell us what was going on. Also to welcome us to Spain, No one was there. Only alot of upset people, waiting to get to their rooms. We had to sit for two hours before we could get in. Not only that but the weather wasn't good, which didn't help matters. Infact for four days we had nothing but rain!. When we got our keys, and after... Read review
