...Sandra who lives locally and she meets us at the cottage. The drive from Exeter takes about 10 minutes on the B3212. As you leave Exeter the road climbs and weaves and almost immediately you are in true rolling Devon countryside, by the time you swoop down into your second deep valley you see the sign for Dunsford village, but turn left before you enter the Village, and the first house you come to is Weir cottage. The large five bar gate is open and welcomes you into the riverfront garden Meet and Greet --------------------- Sandra is a true Devon Lass. She really is a great asset to the owners, being a very good host who prepares the Cottage to perfection. She is very helpful with local knowledge and gives you a full tour of the Cottage and explains everything well. She also bakes each new guest a cake and leaves milk and tea for you... Read review

Any how,moving along to hopefully send a taste of it to tickle yer taste buds and using my senses and memory to enlighten and share with you my thoughts and opinion on this Welsh holiday cottage,you will see I have put a few disadvantages but for the main part-99% excellent. This cottage comes complete with a tiny front garden with seating-breathtaking views,a terraced/gravel stoned back garden consisting of more woodland /farming views with a tumbling rushing waterfall,-this is the famous River dyfi; the upper Dovey part of the river tumbling past the cottage high in the pure clean air complete with fairy bridge! ..here we go..over black slate and white boulders,off road parking,its'own terrace to sit and drink in the quiet atmosphere/musical sounds of the tumbling waters out back,-all just within... Advantages: Horticulture at its best a delight for all the family
Disadvantages: can be expensive and your feet will ache

...and wobbly kneed I discovered a view across the gardens toward London with the Telephone Tower, The Gerkin, The London Eye, Canery Wharf and in the far distance Wembley stadium. But was it worth it? NO. When I finally descended I found Mum relaxed but I need a good 10 minutes break. With a drink in hand I sat down and saw the Pagoda Vista flanked by trees and many people just walking by not bothering to go inside. I now wish I hadn't wasted 30 minutes and £3.50 on the climb. QUEEN CHARLOTTES COTTAGE AND WOODLAND GROUNDS Queen's Cottage was built for Queen Charlotte around 1760 as a wedding present from George III The Royal family used it as a summer house. ...- teaspoons of mixed Herbs (Bay leafs) 1 - cup of garden/frozen Peas pinch of Salt and ground Pepper Before you begin making this great Cottage pie you will need to promise me that you will not rush, take your time and the results will exceed expectations. COOKING THE COTTAGE PIE: 1. Right firstly peel and chop up the Onions and Garlic, don't chop the Garlic to much as I always like to find a piece of chunky garlic in my food. 2. In a large saucepan add the Olive oil (use a good olive oil like Extra Virgin Olive oil) and lightly fry the Onions and Garlic for about 5-mins. Add the Organic lean mince Beef with a pinch of Salt and some ground Pepper and simmer for 15-mins. Remember take your time, enjoy. 3. In this book Hugh explains all about how to grow your own produce (much of it from seed), together with how to care for the plants (including environmentally & organic ways of dealing with those nasty creepy crawlies that are a blight to most gardeners) and what to do with the plants when harvest time comes. Pretty much every type of fruit & vegetable is here with it's own descriptions & advice. The meat & fish sections are divided up in much the same way, with detailed information on the breeds at River Cottage. There's even information on the wild animals too, even with information on the best type of gun, be it a shotgun or air rifle, to use to kill your prey - always useful is you have a hankering for fresh rabbit stew! ...I used this company to book last years summer holiday, the first we'd had since having the kids. I was understandably excited and spent lots of time researching places to stay. I found the website and although it was the most user friendly I was able to find a cottage that was in Brittany and available at the time we wanted to go. I phoned up to book and check details and found them to be organised and helpful. I booked a 2 bed cottage with enclosed garden close to the see and amenities for the second week in September. I paid extra for a crossing that would suit our family and a cabin as it was overnight. Overall it cost about £1000 for the week but I didn't care as a week away was much needed. ...What is Wings? ******************* Wings Cottage is a Chinese restaurant located in Farnborough in Hampshire. I have had the pleasure of dining at Wings twice now and felt I'd like to bring this little gem to your attention should you ever be in the vicinity. My partner's job means he has to work at the air show held in Farnborough for 2 weeks every other year. Without meaning to offend anyone Farnborough itself is not the height of sophistication, it's just a very normal small town which were it not for the airbase there would be pretty non descript in terms of a place to visit.
